[Curis]

“How does one get down from here?”

Curis thought aloud, on a floating island… definitely not what he was used to as he only gave a sigh to himself as the answer… it was really high up, though he came to the conclusion that it was clearly a really big piece of enchanted rock.

~Strange.~

He thought to himself as he turned and began to walk towards the academy, or was he on the academy? He wasn’t entirely sure while he made his way toward the main building, a white leather sac slung over his shoulder, the slack hanging from only the tips of his right fingers while his left hand was tucked into the slit in his hakama.

To him he was in a new place, with very strange people the way he saw it as he noted others with animal features, others casting silly spells… it was… interesting to say the least as from what he knew of magic… it didn’t seem all that, amusing? Either way he was here; he had to make the best of it. Finding himself stopping in the in the middle of courtyard, his dull eyes looking from side to side, a not so subtle sign that he was totally lost.

~Where am I supposed to go?~

He thought to himself.

Smiley had heard his question. He knew that the man had been talking to himself but he had heard it. That's most likely not a good thing.
He danced over to him and told him.

"You know what? You know what? I know the fastest way down from here. I've got an enchanted coin that could show it to you. Do you want the coin to show you the way?"

He was happy to have found someone new to show his tricks and jokes to.
So he was going to begin with something pretty basic.

“…”

There wasn’t much to say, he wasn’t even sure what was going on while this strange man walked up to him, dressed… as a clown? Quite the bazaar person one could say while Curis only gave a slight nod, his gloomy looking eyes not moving with his head however as he kept them on this person… after all he had been through he really couldn’t say that he trusted anyone.

With that said he only gave a slight roll to his right shoulder while slipping the strap of his sack over his neck, the bag now hanging at his side while he slipped his right hand into the slit in his snow white hakama like a pocket.

~Magic coin?~

"It's easy to work with. You just flip it and follow it. It will show you the fastest way down. Look here."

Smiley said and showed a coin that he took from his own ear.

"It's this one. It's really going to go the fastest way I can think of."

Then he fliped the coin over the edge of the island.

"There it goes. If you want to go to the earth it's just to follow it. Simple huh? I can do it again if you need it."

[Curis]

“…”

What could Curis say to that? It was painfully obvious, and to someone else it might have been an amusing joke, then again even Curis gave a slight and clearly soundless chuckle as his upper body moved ever so slightly. While Curis simply raised a brow when he looked toward the clown once more after watching the coin go over the edge.

“I can’t.”

He said, his tone lacking a true emotion while his mind decided it had something it wanted to say… even if he really didn’t want to.

“Your name?”

He questioned while a slight feeling of discomfort was obvious about him… it wasn’t his thing to speak… much less question or even socialize with other people… and at that he wasn’t even sure how old this person was. He was lost, but to get anywhere he figured that he would have to at least know someone.

"I'm Smiley, the supreme joking jester that juggles in joy. And who do I have the honor to speak with?"

Smiley said in a very cheerful manner and bowed in a ridiculous way.
This guy hadn't reacted on his joke so he must be a real bore. Smiley decided to try and cheer him up and wouldn't leave until he had at least managed to get him to smile and possibly to laugh to.
And he was really, really hard to get to give up.

Hesitant for a moment as he heard the mans name, he didn’t really wonder about how strange it was… rather that even with the clearly rude manner in which he asked that he got an answer, though with that there was a slight mental sigh of relief while watching the man bow, of course he gave a bow himself, but it was more a tradition in his clan while as he returned to an upright position.

“C-Curis…”

He stuttered as he spoke, his voice of course still emotionless as he lowered his voice to almost a whisper, his clear lack of personal comfort still looming while he would prefer to not pass on so many words, but… he really couldn’t just be quite and expect this person… smily to know what he was thinking… now could he?

Though with that in mind he wondered… what was the point of making people smile? It was only a temporary state… and he wondered just what else this person was thinking.

"Curious curis, it's nice that we met
before you your mind has set,
to go libraries and book stores and stuff.
Because with those I clearly have had enough.
So if I may,
I would say:
Please don't go there yet."

Smiley sang as soon as he heard Curis name. He thought Curis seemed curious because of the questions he had asked so far. Maybe not enough for other people to make that conclusion but Smiley wasn't normal after all.

"So, what had you planned for today, Curis?"
