Most people are afraid to go to a new place right? Their hearts pounding, sweat dripping down their face in a gross manner. Well, Seeker wasn't most of the people, he could care less. He wasn't here to socialize, there was no point in socializing. Everything felt awkward, every second felt awkward when you are still alive. All of this still felt like it was a never ending dream, but the pain was too real, the experiences were too real. With that said, Seeker would naturally just hang out in the court yard of the academy, this being his first day to actually attend the place. He was just walking casually along, when suddenly some rude man who was in a rush bumped into him causing Seeker to stumble back, and make him lose his glasses.
"Dammit..."
Seeker muttered under his breath, bending down to pick up his glasses. Little did he know that he was now showing off his back side toward everyone who was walking behind him on their way to the school.
"What the hell dumb ass?"
Someone asked to him in a rude way, passing by him, in that same rude manner. Everyone was just rude that day!
"Wow... that's a first. I've become the popular kid back in high school to a nerd in some academy. Ironic..."
Anyways, Seeker managed to get his glasses back on, just to see a few people staring at him strangely. It was like he created a sin or something! Talk about annoying!

Everyone seemed to have an edge on them today. Well, everyone except Trevor. That casual smile that was always present on his face was showing as he walked around the courtyard, feeling the air blow lightly though his hair. The wind was his inspiration, and he loved the way it danced on his face.
He spotted the student who seemed to be the target of everyone's early morning aggression. He couldn't understand why he was getting picked on, nor why he had attracted so many stares. But, Trevor wasn't about to let everyone continue to make a spectacle of him. He walked over the the group that was staring at the boy. "I don't know if you are aware of this, but starring at someone can make them feel rather uncomfortable. It might be best if you let him alone rather than stare. unless of course you think he's cute." Trevor's voice was light and airy, friendly and laid back. The boy he had addressed looked at him in disgust.
"What are you, gay?" "No. I prefer the phrase 'open to all possibilities.' Why limit yourself?" "Your sick!"
Trevor had succeeded. He wanted to break up the group and help if he could. The group left, their discussion more about Trevor's sexual orientation than the boy with the glasses. Trevor only smiled at them and waved. He walked over to the boy.
He extended his hand and introduced himself. "Sorry if I meddled and it was unwanted. Just wanted to help. I'm Trevor."

To be honest, Seeker wasn't effect toward one thing which was happening around him. He just stared blankly at the person who was trying to defend him or something like that. He was a strange one, but being someone who went to a high school that Seeker did, this personality was quite common between some people at his old school. Which meant, this place was practically the same as everywhere else when it came to what people were like, so Seeker wouldn't have as much trouble figuring stuff out. The only thing different from high school and this place is that every is super humans and stuff.
Anyways! The guy introduced himself, so Seeker decided he might as well say his name. He didn't really see as to why not, even if it did harm him, Seeker didn't mind being harmed, seriously.
He was one brave dude now days!
"Jay Seeker..."
To be honest, Seeker didn't care what people called him, first or last name, but people back at his old school called him by his last, there for making him more accustomed to it. It was up to this guy, some people preferred calling others by their last name, and some their first. Still, let's not lecture about the human mind, the fact still remains, Seeker had stopped talking, obviously meaning that unless this guy did something, Seeker would lose interest... and fast!

"Well jay, welcome to AA. I could show you around if you want. You seem like you would be interesting to talk to." He smiled and waited on the boy to make up his mind to come with him, or turn down his offer. Trevor would be fine either way, but loved to at least make the attempt at making a new friend. Though somewhat new himself, he had been around the campus a few times and knew his way around pretty well.
"So, how did you end up coming here? Everyone seems to have some talent or another. I have to admit, I am curious. Aside from attracting the stares of passing students, what is it that you do?" His tone was disarming, as it was very light. Nothing out of his mouth came off as snide or insincere. Trevor was easy to get along with, unless someone found him intrusive. Then, he would back off.
He looked around, and noticed that the students had dispersed, leaving them "alone" in the crowd. Trevor waited to see if this new boy would take his openly offered friendship, be hesitant, or turn it down completely.

It was difficult being barraged with questions, and it made very hard to actually catch them to get them ready to throw back into answers when so many attacked! They were swarming Seeker, he couldn't think straight, buzzing around his head, it was a question overload! Well, actually he was able to comprehend everything that would be said, he would just ignore the first question since it was bound to come back into the conversation later, and would go on answering the latter questions instead.
"There's special abilities?"
Oh yeah, did we mention that Seeker was one to return questions with questions? He seriously had no idea what this guy was talking about now, and everything he said about 'doing what you do' was just going into one of his ears and exiting out the other. Adjusting his glasses with his right and middle index finger, and letting his head move slightly to the right, letting his hair fly perfectly out of his eyes, he gave direct contact toward Trevor.

Trevor realized that, even if his tone was light and airy, he still might have thrown too much at the new boy. "Sorry if I spoke to much or too fast." Trevor decided to answer the boy as best as he could. "You probably know that this is a school for people who have gifts. Most everyone here can use some form of magic. I was just curious as to your talent."
The boy certainly was different. Trevor had met many people both in the academy and prior too, but none were quite as quiet as this one. They either showed off their power, were pleasant, gruff, many things. Seeker was more self kept. This was very contrary to Trevor of course, but he welcomed all types of people. It made things interesting.
He would wait for a response before continuing. He was interested in what Seeker had to say. Maybe he could get this one to open up a bit, rather than stay thought-stricken behind those glasses.

Letting out a sigh and shaking his head, Seeker was now ashamed of his stupidity. He never really thought that there was actually names for the abilities and stuff, so he never really even pondered that there was actually different types of these so called 'gifts'. Hell, he should of figured when he has been encountering vampires and demons already, but he just sort of let it go by him due to him being self absorbed in his own thoughts. If he was some sort of enthusiastic freak, he would of slapped himself right across the face right about now, but due to being sane and normal, he let his head shake for about a second or two, and then looked right back up toward this guy after his mind caught up with everything.
At least now he could answer the question, right?
"I..."
Cue dramatic silence and drum roll! Get ready for the best answer you will ever hear!
"Don't know."
Cue anime sweat drops from all around!

Trevor only smiled. He was never one to judge, nor would he hold it against Seeker for not knowing. "Well, if it is any consolation, I don't know the name of my gift either. I don't even think it's a form of magic. Everyone here seems to have a better grasp on it than I do. But, this is a school, so what better place to learn?" He gave one of those typical anime expressions (^_^) before continuing.
"You don't talk much, and I hope you don't mind that I do. Don't want to scare you away." He looked around. "So, you want that tour of the school? For someone like you, I would think the best part would be the library. It's huge, and the books cover so many different topics, you could probably spend a few years studying."
If Seeker agreed to a tour, then Trevor would lead him.

"Bastard..."
Seeker thought whent he man made the comment about the library, but he didn't let it be shown externally. He just kept that dull look on his face, his eyes half way open, looking through his glasses, and the sparks of curiousity already gone. A tour of the school might be nice, and at least if he hung around this guy, he might have a less chance of being made fun of. With that said, Seeker gave a nod in aproval with his head.
"Lead the way."

Trevor smiled, and waled slightly in front of the new kid. He gave a brief tour, finally ending up at the vast library. "I thought you might like it here, but not for the reasons you might think. I enjoy reading and learning myself. Not having formal schooling until now, I was only able to pick up a book here and there along my travels. The reason I suggested this was to hopefully find something in common with you. It would make things less awkward." He smiled at the boy again and allowed him to take in the sight.
The library was huge. It held a vast collection of books that even a hardcore scholar would have been impressed. Trevor just enjoyed reading, and this library provided enough entertainment to last several hundred lifetimes. Everything form fantasy to biography's, magic and fighting theory... it was all here. Trevor was in awe each time he came here, a sens of wonder overcoming him at the sight of so much knowledge collected in one room.
"Well, this is it. It kind of speaks volumes about itself." It was a pun, though very unintentional, Trevor seeming oblivious that he had even made it. "Everything you could imagine is here."
