He entered slowly, but still in uniform fashion, gloved hand gripping the faded silver knob and pushing, the barrier opening with a small creak of three abused hinges. Quickly the boy closed it with a satisfying click at the end, letting one realize now the fact that the door had been closed. And now with rubber against tile he took four small steps foreward, those black slacks brushing ever so slightly against the cuffs of his dark sneakers. It had been a total of 4 weeks, 5 days, and 487 minutes since his last arrival to this particular room, from which orders were scarce. For although he had been apart of such a rehabilitation program to return him, the academy had decided he would be good for specific check-up missions, making sure as any flawed school would do that everything troubling would stay small. As to date it had not been anything dramatic, mostly just a few locker checks and the like of suspicious characters. As magic was drawn from many sources, they had to be much more suspicious, for so easily could dark magic become an issue.
The boy kneeled down, those lifeless orbs looking to the ground, unneeded in this meeting, and their presence directed to anything making the situation undesirebly complicated for one young tool. So instead he used his ears, and for a time he heard nothing. But still he did not contemplate looking up, merely reasoning that patience was a virtue one needed to attain as well as excercise in such a situation: that would do him well. For, soon coming he would hear just the slightest creaking of one placing himself into a chair the child did not have the permission to describe, so he would just continue to listen.
"Morning Robert."
"Morning sir."
He heard the unnamed man adjust himself and quickly rustle through what one would title as papers, but in a school of magic one could never be sure on anything. He would soon start up again.
"Robert, I know your personality so you may not yet be aware of what we have called student groups..."
Robert knew better at this point than to speak, for undoubtedly he would be told.
"They are as the name would imply: groups of students. There are few at the moment, but undoubtedly more will arise. We have sent a few select persons to watch these groups already, but there is one we believe you would benefit under your own self of looking at. Actually, we suspect this group above the others for it's name alone. 'The Revolution'. Their intentions seem fine, but we would have to investigate more into them."
There was silence for a moment, undoubtedly to let Robert think, but for him there was nothing to think of. To complete the mission was what mattered.
"As stated earlier, you will join this group--'The Revolution'--and see what you can learn of the group, it's leader, and it's members above all. Of course, considering your circumstance, I would ask that you dress especially full, but also I would like you to enjoy some of the freedoms for this mission. The Contact ban will be lessened to level one for the duration, which i am sure you knwo the jist of. You may socialize, but keep a 12 inch distance between everyone you can. You have three days to join, and you will be contacted when the mission is concluded. Understand?"
Robert responded quickly, no excitement above all else reaching his voice.
"Yes sir. I will begin right away, sir."
"Good, boy. Now go."
Robert stood up quickly, eye closed as he turned his heel to face the door. He reopened his eyes, seeing those dim white lights in-front of him. Once again with shoe to the tile he arrived to the door, opening once again and releasing himself back in to the outside world, free from the office, but also from his restraints of previous. He closed the door, feeling somewhere inside a new sensation. He had never felt such a thing since living with his first caretaker, but it made him think. The last time he felt such a thing, he had killed. It was a sensation one would need to lsoe, or mroe would lose their lives. After all, it was but a mission, and nothing else. He had to remember that. No more than duty willed him. As it had to always be.
