Cirkel awoke with a smile from his dorm. He had just spent his first night at the academy, and it was time for him to have his first day. Happily he leapt from bed, exposing his blue and white striped pajamas from the covers. He would walk over to his bathroom, do all of his morning bathroom busines, incuding having a quick shower. He changed into a pair of plain white slacks and a dark blue short-sleeved T-shirt. He would soon realize he had no food in his dorm, so slipping on some dark blue socks and his pair of white sneakers, as well as an open, white, thin cloth jacket, he made his way down to the cafeteria for breakfast.
It was a bit of a chilli morning. Though it was just before eight, the air still had the feeling of night, though Cirkel didn't let it affect him, hands resting relaxed in his pants pockets. He would quickly trot down the stairs to the ground level of the academy. From here he'd simply follow his school map to the cafeteria, where it seemed a few students had already decided to get their first meal of the day. Since the academy was such a large school, it was hard for anybody to see Cirkel as a new face, considering it was difficult enough to be acquainted with everyone in the school already. Not to mention the fact that Arcane Academy was getting new students everyday. Sufficed to say, Cirkel attracted very few eyes.
In a relaxed pace, Cirkel found himself to one specifically happy looking woman. She spoke with a bit of a western accent, something Cirkel wasn't all that used to, though he didn't let it affect him.
"What would ya like, hun?"
Cirkel thoguht for a moment, and quickly came upon something he remembered hearing one of the staff talk about. He'd never heard of it before then, and had always wanted to try it. From what he knew it was commonly eaten as a breakfast food.
"May I please have some pancakes?"
The woman accepted that pretty well, obviously hearing that order a few times a day.
"Anything you want on 'em?"
Cirkel wasn't sure what to say to this. He didn't know you had anything on pancakes. From his silence the cafeteria woman seemed to pick up on this.
"Tell ya what. You go sit down over there and I'll cook you my favourite pancakes, kay?"
Cirkel nodded quickly, figuring that as the best route to take in the situation.
"Thank you."
He made his way to the seat the woman designated, sitting down quite happily. He would only need to wait about ten minutes before the woman made her way out from behind the bench and placed a big plate of about eight stacked pancakes in-front of him, each one with big red dots in them, and a mix of berries piled on to the top of the stack. Cirkel looked up at her, a little surprised, but still quite pleased.
"Strawberry pancakes with a tripple berry topping. Well go on, hun, dig in."
Cirkel found himself stabbing the top two pancakes with his fork, sawing easily through them with his butter knife. As the fork approached his mouth some of the berries on top fell on to the plate, so Cirkel quickly shoved it in his mouth, taking the pancakes off of the fork with his teeth and putting the fork down. After a moment he gave a big satisfied smile.
"Thank you! These are really good."
"It's my pleasure, hun. Now don't make yourself too full. You've got a whole day a head of you, right? Your first?"
Cirkel was surprised that she knew it was her first day. He looked up at her again, slightly confused. She simply tapped her head with her index finger lightly, quickly turning around and speaking again.
"Enjoy yourself, hun."
On that note, Cirkel would vigorously begin wolfing down his plate of pancakes, attracting a few stares, though ultimately it didn't affect him. He was quite pleased with the meal. It seemed to be all the staff made it sound, and quite a bit better. If it was any sign, Arcane Academy would be a good place. Well, at least breakfast promised to be.
