OOC: This is a private thread for one other person, you know who you are.
And we slowly fall asleep, drowning in tears as we weep...
Ritsuka sat beneath a tree in the courtyard, his hands behind his head as he leaned back against the trunk. His mask was covering the top half of his face again, just in case someone tried something while he was relaxing. It slightly heightened his senses, and he could feel powerful presences easier with it on. His green bangs fell over the front of the mask, which protruded forward about four inches in front of his face. The rest of his green hair stuck straight up, spiked and going pretty high from the top of his cranium.
The lines in his head came from a song, or rather a poem, he was writing. The words still not coming to him so he could finish it, he sat there and thought for a bit, his mind at peace at the time so he wasn't fighting with the being inside of him.
Still, he'd like to have a decent conversation with somebody right now, he didn't really care. As long as they were smart enough to not piss him off to the degree where he'd blow them to hell, he was fine.

"Oh look a penny!"
Yes, that'd be him. Bending down in the middle of the courtyard just to grab a copper disk just because it was there, just because he was bored out of his mind. Considering he was a psycho, being bored out of your mind means everything has already been planned, and your paranoia has taken the back seat for a while. That's when he noticed someone sitting against a tree trunk.
"When the grubs from inside that tree break through that bark in four and a half minutes, I'm going to laugh."
In other words, this was a test on whether or not the fellow could see him, AND it was a friendly warning about the grubs inside the tree burrowing out. This was not Relo'Quath's usual encounter, as he wasn't in the mood to pick a fight, and wasn't on the look out for something delicious to eat, or some mind to read. He just wanted to pass the time.

*twitch*
Ritsuka's eyes opened up, the orbs not visible behind his mask. Someone ducking down to grab a penny, usually they were ignored. The penny and the person both, but Ritsuka felt something strange about this guy.
He could see him, but there was some strange aura about him, like he was supposed to be invisible.
"Heh. Thanks for the warning."
Ritsuka gave a small grin, but it slowly faded after a couple seconds. Four and a half minutes? He might as well spend some of that time enjoying himself at the tree, then he'd just get up and find another spot to relax in.

"You're quite welcome, I do have to say though, what's on your mind isn't always just yours to read alone."
He sat on the ground, and folded his legs under himself. Sitting what people called, indian style. It was comfortable, and balanced. Good for his spine, and allowed his attention to be spread about. There wasn't much to say by way of conversation however. Just idle thoughts, idle stupid thoughts.
I wonder why he covers his face with that mask...
This is a shiny coin...
He was playing with the penny, examining the copper disk like it was some sort of enchanted item. Worth all the gold in Egypt or something like that. Relo'Quath was quite aware that the penny was almost worthless completely. But discarding it could lead to complications in the future. As one day he might need the penny.

"Oh? What do you mean by that?"
It was an interesting statement, and Ritsuka really did wonder what he meant by it. Nevertheless, he shrugged it off and continued sitting in his comfortable position by the tree. His eyes eventually looked down, examining the copper piece in his acquiantance's hand, who sat across from him.
A penny? Really, who would take the time to pick up a penny from the ground like that?

"I would take the time. You never know when you can use something so simple as a penny."
He smiled to himself, inspecting the copper disk for imperfections. It had plenty, little bits of rust, and some chinks, but that was about it. He pocketed it, and smiled at the other. Running a hand through his long hair. As if the horns didn't give away his nature, his demeanor would definitely, as he was acting a little bit psychotic. Looking around, and sometimes smiling for no reason.
"See what I mean?"
Sometimes, he could hear the voices of the long dead, but that was a side effect of his own psychosis. The psychosis he naturally suffers from, because he's from the other side. He's from Hell, didn't you know? That he's a demon, from the abyssal desert plains? Now you do, or do you? One never knows the true nature of those before them.

Ritsuka's eyes widened from behind his mask for a second, but just as quickly began to narrow. Those emerald green orbs breaking their focus on the penny and looking up to that mysterious... demon? Yeah, he had to be a demon, the horns...
"I see... So you can read minds?"
Mind reading. That had to be a fun ability, nothing would ever be private if someone could read your mind. Seeing as it had something to do with magic however, he was sure that someone of a stronger power level could resist, at least with more ease then an average human, who was completely vulnerable. Ritsuka hoped his mask had been fine tuned to prevent his mind being read, but maybe that enchantment would have to come later.

"And more."
He said, looking over the figure sitting against the tree. The grubs were still boring out, trying to get to the flesh that was warming them, making them active. Relo'Quath was aware of them, because they were simple creatures, and simple creatures were easily brought under his will.
Power is everything.
"Some of my abilities can be resisted, but at one's own risk. Resistance tends to hurt the mind more."
He searched for a suitable metaphor to relay what it was like. Eventually he just settled on what was easiest for him to relate it to, and not humans. Hopefully humans had some kind of idea of what these things were.
"Resisting a mental intrusion is like trying to pull out a barbed heated pike. The more you pull, the more barbs, and the more tearing."

"I see."
Ouch. Ritsuka definately didn't want to be one of this guy's victims, not if that's what resisting mind control felt like. He'd rather let the guy do it, but then again, Dauragon wouldn't.
I think it's time for me to move to another spot...
Ritsuka sighed as he stood up, no longer leaning against the tree for comfort. He walked over to another nearby tree, which was just a little bit closer to the guy he was talking to, and sat down against it in the same fashion as before. He wanted to say something else, so he figured, why not an introduction?
"...My name's Ritsuka Galeos."

"Relo'Quath. Pleasure."
He said, formally. Noting that the male moved before the grubs could get to him, and to a tree closer to himself. Relo'Quath could feel the fear that Ritsuka was feeling. It was like hot sauce. Just spiced things up a little bit. He figured, that this fellow would want to avoid that sort of thing at all costs. And no sane person would want to be mind controlled, or even assaulted.
"Suffice to say you'd like to avoid that, yes?"
Making allies is hard enough when you're a demon. But when you're a psychopathic mind reading demon, that's like trying to make friends with a mutant gold fish with a chainsaw attached to it's skull. But who knows? The best of friends tend to be the down right craziest mother fuckers, right?

"But of course, I think everyone would love to avoid that."
Ritsuka was sure it was the truth, you had to be one crazy fucker to enjoy being mind controlled, much more than a simple masochistic nature at that. Sure, pain was good to feel so you could know that you were alive, but a pain of that nature was just far too extreme to deal with, no matter how much you loved it.
Ristuka's arms reached out and folded across his chest, and his legs folded cross-style underneath him, his eyes examining the demon. He really wondered how many enemies a person like that could make, but at the same time, he would be a powerful ally in the future. Ritsuka didn't have any friends or allies yet, so he had to make one somewhere.

"Not everyone does though."
He smiled to himself. Implying the absolute worst. He's done these sorts of things to people. What kind of monster was he? Totally evil, quite possibly. But he works in a bakery, he can't be all that bad. After all, it's a candy shoppe. How evil could someone who lived in a candy shoppe be? Hmm?
"Humans and Half bloods are too aggressive, they rush into combat without knowing their enemy."
Relo'Quath always made sure to know something about his enemy before going into battle. Not often did he rush into things without preparing ahead of time. Whether it be learning about them, observing from a distance, or gathering people and weapons to use. He was always prepared to take out his enemies.

Now, if Ritsuka knew that Relo'Quath had worked in a bakery, a candy shoppe at that, he wouldn't have thought much of him. A candy shoppe just made you look less evil, no matter what the occasion!
Ritsuka grinned, lips visible as the mask only covered the top half of his face. Obviously, the guy was smart, he wasn't one to just sqaunder his abilities on anybody. Even so, Ritsuka was both a human and a half-blood, but did being a traitor make him any better? At the very least, he didn't rush pointlessly into combat, he had to evaluate the situation beforehand.
"Too many times have I seen a fool who rushed to their death. I'm glad to see another like me who sits passively until the time to strike comes..."

"I don't like to strike without gathering sufficient information on the enemy. It makes it much easier to break them. Lest they strike at me first. Then I haven't a choice but to defend myself."
Relo'Quath always made sure he had something on the enemy. Some form of leverage. It was how he did things, manipulating the battlefield behind the scenes was one of the easiest ways to win. Tipping the scales in one's favor while no one is looking, it sounded like cheating. But then, magic could be called cheating. And so could reading one's mind. People do it all the time without knowing it.
They just aren't as fast, or as effective at it as he was.
Soon he'll be able to cast without saying a word. Which would make things so much easier. Not only that, but people would also stop trying to copy his spells, and blow themselves up in the process. One has to have a matching magical spiritual signature to use Abyssal Runes.
