Runaway Dragon (Seig)

Her room had been set up for her ahead of time. All she had to do now was unpack her personal things to fill the room and make it her own. She stepped into the beautiful room a mural of the Irish countryside had been artistically painted on the wall the light from the widow cast it's glow making it look even more real that ever before.

"Well Kei.. this is home!" she said happily as ever as she let her lavender eyes scan the beauty of her room. The walls painted a soft kiwi green that was relaxing and beautiful all at the same time.

Her bed sat in the corner a four poster of dark wood a canopy above it hung down with long laced sheer curtains that blew in the subtle breeze as the window had been opened to let fresh air into the room. Several boxes stacked in the center of the room.

The small blue and white dragon jumped off her shoulder and flew over to the window squeaking and sqwaking as it flew in a high circle around the room. Sensing her familiar's happiness the dragon landed and ran out into the hallway.

"Not again! Kei! Come back here dangit!" she called from her room as she waited tapping her foot the red headed irish girl waited for her familiar to listen. It was unlikely. As Kei was more a little sibling than a familiar to her.

[Sieg]

A dull explosion eminated from Sieg's room which bucked the door against it's hinges. He tumbled out of the room covered in ash and soot as he rolled across the hall, colliding with the dragon. He sat up slipping his goggles to his forehead with a laugh as he held the little dragon in place. His face was dirty and smuged with ash except for his eyes which had been covered by his goggles.

"Well, well I'm pretty sure someone wouldn't want to lose you would they little one," he said with a grin, stroking the dragon under the chin playfully. He stood up, holding the dragon, "Now I wonder who you belong to?" he asked himself, looking up and down the hallway, not noticing that smoke was still creeping from his room. The explosions were typical in his everyday life, he hadn't even been here that long and he was pretty sure he had caused at least five or six explosions so far.

Sighing, the red head stepped out of her dorm room upon hearing the explosion figuring it might have been something triggered by Kei. Damn her! She stepped out and the hallway was filled with smoke. Coughing for a moment she looked around seeing a boy covered in soot holding Kei.

"Kei! Did you do this you silly dragon?!" she called and laughed as the dragon looked at her with the look of death.

The lavander eyed girl stepped forward and offered her hand to the boy.

"I'm Fiona." she said with a bright smile her eyes sparkling with inner happiness. "Boy.. you okay?" she asked and chuckled.

She reached into her pocket and handed him a hankerchief. It was white with her initial -FGM- on it. Chuckling she held it out for him.

"Here you go." she said. Kei jumped from the boy back to her shoulder where the small dragon sat there like a small hawk.

Sieg watched as a rather cute red-head stepped out into the hallway. The dragon's owner no doubt, she was indeed a quite a looker. He smiled as she accused the dragon of starting the explosion, he shook his head.

"No I'm afraid the explosion was my fault," he said with a grin as he took her hand and shook her hand, "Siegfried Rhinehart, but please call me Sieg.." he said his voice cut off as she started to wipe off his face, "Well thank you, I suppose I'm rather unpresentable at the moment, I apologize for my appearance," he said with a grin, "I was working on a mana bomb, an idea of mine, but apparently I haven't worked out the kinks. The explosion wasn't nearly big enough," he said with a chuckle, "Nice to meet you Fiona...and Kei," he said with a grin as he stroked Kei under the chin again, "New student?" he asked.

[Fi]

A sigh ushered forth but one of relief as she now knew that Kei had not started the explosion nor been the cause of it but the grubby boy in front of her had. She couldn't help but smile. She was glad he had taken her hankerchief because well.. truth is he could definatly use it.

"Nice to meet you, Seig. You can call me Fi or Fiona. I'm not terribly partial to either." she said with a chuckle as she watched him clean his face.

Kei was definatly enjoying the attention. The female dragon had always been very gluttonous of male attention and it seemed that she was enjoying Seig's at the moment.

"You look like you could use a drink. I have some in my room if you'd like one!" she said happily as she smiled brightly at him. "So how about it. You can spoil Kei some more." she giggled.

[Sieg]

He smiled as he called for Atticus to bring him a towel. The large robotic golem bent down through the door way handing its master a towel with a puzzled cocking of its head. Atticus' body seemed to shake up and down with silent laughter as it handed Sieg the towel and bent back down through the door, shaking its head. Sieg couldn't help but laugh as the golem seem to express more human emotions in his simple actions than most people did by talking.

He grinned as the dragon seemed to enjoy his attention, "She is a beautiful creature.." he said with a grin, still stroking the dragon under the chin playfully.

He his hand back before he finished wiping his face and hands with the towel Atticus had retrieved for him. He stole a glance at her inspecting her body as he finished wiping his body clean. She was indeed quite beautiful, hopefully if Sieg played his cards right the drink could turn into something a little more.

"I'd be quite grateful for a drink. Dealing with complex mana-induced circuitry does leave one parched," he said with a grin, "I take it Kei likes the attention?" he asked as he stood, waiting for her to lead him to her room whenever she felt ready.

"Great!" she said enthusiastically after chuckling about his mana bomb comment. He definatly was cute and with his sense of humor she figured they would definatly get along. "Kei, definatly loves your attention. She's an attention hog." she giggled.

She turned on her heal and walked slowly down the hall to one room beyond his and smiled back at him smiling brightly she nodded her head for him to come in.

Inside the room was the bed a smooth dark wooded desk. A lamp sat on the desk the stained glass was in a floral pattern. Kei flew off her shoulder and curled up in the soft white bedding that lay over the silk sheets. In front of the window was a small seating area with two plush chairs both big enough for two and a small coffee table between them. Underneath the desk was a small fridge. She knealt down her dark red hair falling over her shoulder and her white dress as she opened the fridge.

"We have soda, tea, and water. What would you like?" she asked him when he would enter. "And feel free to sit anywhere you like."

[Sieg]

He followed her with a bright grin as he stepped inside her room. He whistled softly as he stepped in and spun around slowly taking in the room. Man, she had a much better room than he did, but then again he was rather comfortable with the bare necessities. It left more room for his inventions and space to work on them.

"You're room is very nice..much better than mine. I suppose it doesn't help that I trigger accidentaly or otherwise a small explosion in mine about once a week," he said with a chuckle as he sat down in one of the chairs, stretching a little.

Sieg let his gaze flow from the room back to her again. She certainly was eye-catching and Sieg was rather content to stare at her as she rummaged through the fridge. Her question snapped him back to reality, "Oh yes uh a soda would be fine thank you," he said with a sheepish grin, "So how long have you had Kei?" he asked as he watched the dragon with a grin. He was getting inspiriation just by looking at hte little dragon.

"Sure!" she said happily as she pulled a tea out for her and a soda out for him. "And, I am a new student.. so pardon the boxes I just haven't finished unpacking yet."

She stood up and thrust her hair back over her shoulder with a flick of her hand. She smiled at him as she placed his drink on the table in front of him and sat down in the chair opposite him.

"Thanks for the compliment!" she said. "About my room. I wanted it to remind me of Ireland. So.. I painted. Kinda went nuts I guess." she shrugged and giggled as she broke the seal on her tea and began to sip it slowly.

Hearing her name spoken Kei squeaked happily and Fiona could only laugh and shake her head. Kei glided over to Seig's lap and curled up in it. Another laugh from Fiona was given as she smiled at the two. Kei was very greedy when it came to attention.

"I've had Kei since I was born. We were actually born on the same day. So we've grown up together." she said with a bright smile. "What about the.. umm... robot thing.. that brought you the towel and was laughing at you?"

[Sieg]

He chuckled as she mentioned the boxes. Sieg shook his head, "Don't worry it doesn't phase me a bit...you should see my room, I'm a bit cleaning impaired," he said with a sheepish grin as he scratched the back of his head. He took the soda as she set it down on the table and opened it with a small pop taking a big swig.

He sighed as he finished, "Didn't realize how thirsty I was, probably got a bit too caught up in my work," he said as he took another swig, "You painted this? It's really good," he said with an admiring grin.

Sieg chuckled as Kei flew into his lap and curled up. He stroked her softly, "I take it she likes attention quite a bit," he said with a soft laugh as he stroked her with one hand and using the other to re-fit his goggles over his forehead. He had been holding them in his hand but now he needed both hands free to drink and pet Kei so he slipped his goggles back onto his forehead.

"I see well it must've been rather interesting growing up with such a magnificent creature," he said with a grin, "Oh that robot is my golem Atticus. I built him when I was littler, and I guess he was laughing wasn't he...he likes to give me a hard time sometimes," he said still grinning as he took another sip of soda.

[Fi]

A whole hearted laugh filled the room as she covered her mouth shyly with the back of her hand as her eyes lit up even more bright a lavender color than before it seemed.

"Cleaning impaired. I like that!" she said said with a chuckle as she tucked her red hair behind her right ear before setting her tea down on the table and folding her hands in her lap.

She looked down at Kei who was sleeping happily in Seig's lap and she smiled watching him adjust his goggles. She wondered if he wore them everyday or only when he was tinkering with his inventions. She leaned forward slightly.

"So you're an inventor! How amazing. I wish I was that creative!" she exclaimed her eyes bright with excitement. "I can only paint and recreate. But you.. creating your own things. That's amazing!"

[Sieg]

He smiled as she laughed, her laugh was rather enchanting. Then again it wasn't hard to be enchanting when you were as attractive as she was. He smiled brightly as she started talking about his inventions. Sieg always got sort of giddy when he started talking about his inventions or an idea he had. He leaned forward a little too, not wanting to knock Kei off his lap.

"It's not nearly impressive as painting, especially this room. The stuff I create is cold and logical it lacks the emotion and passion of art. But I suppose what I do is okay," he said with a smile as he pulled a small piece of metal out of his pocket, "Let's see if I can do something artisitc," he said with a grin as he concentrated a little.

The hunk of metal glowed briefly before melting in what appeared to be a sphere of liquid quicksilver. He closed his eyes and suddenly the sphere started to recompose itself. It shifted and shaped before becoming solid again in the shape of Kei frozen in flight. He set it on the table sliding it towards her, "There..that's for you," he said with a grin.

She could tell by the glimmer that seemed to show up instantly in his eyes when she mentioned his inventions. She knew that look all too well. It was the look of someone that truly enjoyed what they were into that truly enjoyed their work. Found a passion so to speak. Like her painting. She loved to paint it was her passion her only true talent beyond magic.

She did however disagree with his views on his inventions. To her the large.. golem? had seemed pretty human like with his laughing. If that wasn't emotion she didn't know what was. However she continued to listen because this boy truly was intriguing to her. Interesting in a way that she hadn't met anyone in such a long time.

"I disagree." she said holding up her index finger. "Atticus, has emotions. He laughed at you that's an emotion. And not only that but I think that creating something from your mind without any help or any prototype is an amazing feat. You sell yourself short Sieg."

She watched in utter wonder as he played with a scrap of metal. She sat on the edge of her chair watching it intently as he used his magic for her and suddenly there was a small replica of Kei. Her heart seemed to melt at the very sight. She picked it up gently with her hand and ran her fingers over it.

"Oh wow! It's amazing!" she exclaimed happily as she ran her fingers over the tiny scales feeling the little ridges.

She smiled brightly and stood placing the dragon on her desk softly. She opened a drawer and pulled out a polished stone of black. She tapped into the mana in the rock and merged it with her own allowing her to sculpt the rock. The flat palm sized rock began to transform into a small scultpted form of Atticus a very detailed replica of him in her palm shining and made of the black rock.

"And this is for you." she said softly with a blush and a smile as she sat the standing Atticus on the table in front of him.

He considered her disagreement, it was true that Atticus showed emotion. However he only showed emotion because Atticus had programmed him with a personality matrix. Though from time to time Atticus displayed traits and quirks that Sieg had never programmed in or imagined he would possess. He smiled as she took the Kei statuette from him and started to examine it, complimenting him.

"Why thank you, that's one of the perks of being able to manipulate metal and technology. I can impress lovely young ladies such as yourself," he said with a grin and then his eyes widened in delighted surprise as she sculpted it into a small but very detailed replica of Atticus.

Sieg picked it up and ran his fingers over it with a grin, "It's a perfect image," he said with a grin, letting his fingers slide over the smooth polished surface of the stone, "I'm sure Atticus will love it, I know I do," he said with a smile. All rock had some metals in it, he pressed his hand against the stone and manipulated the metal the small Atticus came to life and hopped out of his palm and onto the table walking around.

"It's a good thing most rocks have at least trace amounts of metal in them. I can use that to manipulate the statue," he said with a grin as the little Atticus climbed up on Kei's head, poking her curiously.

She watched in delight and even moved futher off the edge of her chair as he animated the statue she had made him. She smiled brightly and watched closely. It was amazing what he could do with just a little metal that was in the rock.

"I can only control that which comes of the earth or is created in nature. But your talent is truly amazing." she said softly as the Atticus climbed up on top of Kei and began to poke her.

Kei opened her beautiful eyes and looked at Fiona and then looked back up at Atticus. Fi laughed.

"She is not liking that at all." she said with a chuckle. Kei growled and puffed a stream of cold fire towards the little guy and froze him in place. With a snuff she lay back down in his lap contented.

"See told ya." she laughed. "So tell me a bit about yourself Seig." she said curiously.
