Jyo stood clad in his new clothing on the raining grounds (Clothing in picture) He had a ring of students around him. They were all out of breath. he was breething deeply but evenly and without a problem. He had no marks on him at all. the others around him had small cuts and bruises all over them.
"Well guys I guess that wraps it up. You were fun but this is done. He said and sheathed his weapon in the horezontal sheath on the small of his back. The others left and Jyo was left alone to look up at the sky and lett the breeze tug at his clothing. His hiar was now tied back. he had been doing that alot more lately as it had been getting much to long for him to just have it be loose. At least in a fight.
Wonder if I'll se anyone else to take on and actually have a decent battle with He thought.

Maybe Today Isn't So Bad Afterall..
It had been a terrible day. He missed his first class: Rejection. Ah well... studying was always neccesary, and well.. drops of rain came, thudding down overhead, the sky gone of singing birds and a sun of light, instead replaced by the boom of thunder, and the clouds of dark. The water slid down his robes, and he thanked himself for at least having the ideal to put on all three layers every day. He had come around, searching for a fight, to test his skills, in truth, and to try out a new defensive spell.
Who was that..?
Yellow hair, red coat.. he had seen this man before on the school grounds. An amiable man, he believed, one who had a tendency to draw others to him. As of this moment, Hakfu was drawn to this man as well.. for a fight. He took a few steps, across from the stranger, and smiled at him, circling him, not tauntingly, but observently. Halting, he bowed before this man, waist up, his hands slapped together.
"Greetings honorable sir. I am Hakfu Song, Twenty-Seven years old, a mage from China.."
He looked around them, and beckoned with his arms, the rain dropping on both of them.
"Here we are, two mages, at the training grounds, on a rainy day. Can I interest you... in a match?"
A grin.

Jyo stopped and looked at the man who approched him. The guy looked quite a bit older than Jyo did. He had a presence about him. Jyo could tell this person was very powerful magic-wise.
Jyo gave a bow. "I am Jyo Mashima. Ninteen." he said and then straitend again, Yeas he had seen this man in the halls. He was glad they could meet. Then the man offered Jyo a challenge.
"Well the others I fought didn't give me much of a workout. So I'm still up and ready to go. So I accept the challenge." He said with a small smile and he went into a reverse crouch with his left hand resting on the handle of his blade.

In Battle, We Find Knowledge
A respectful man, he had good manners. Hakfu in turned also bowed in his own respect. But, the concern came when he heard of the other battles.. but, concerning the people who had gone past him anyways, he should've figured.. ah well, too busy minding the rain, he supposed. Hakfu nodded again.
"Its just as well that you have just gotten done fighting them... due to the extremity of my abilities, I could probably only last for about ten rounds, trading more energy for more power, so if anything, we may be at an equal match. I'm eager to see."
In truth, he felt.. in awe of this young man. No. He was intimidated. How many of them had he fought? Damn his own limitations.. he needed to become.. stronger. There was doubt if he would win this battle. But then, it never hurt to fight as hard as one could. In turn, Hakfu smiled, getting out a coin with his left hand.
"All that's left.. is to start the match.. call it."
Even as he said so, he flipped the coin, and slid out his Ritual Dagger, his left hand already going to his tarot cards.
OOC: I'll flip a quarter in real life when you pick.

Jyo smiled and nodded. "This should be interesting. You seem to have a high amount of magic around you. I don't think I've met anyone but the higher end students and master's with that energy." He said as he leapt at Hafku. His sword was brought to bear in a draw-strike. It was aimed to make Hafku block.
Jyo had other plans than slashing this person since it was training. His right hand shot out as his Focused Ram spell slammed into Hafku. He put much less energy into this spell this time around. After the battle where he had actually produced a piercing beam with this spell. he had been toning it down and learning to control it.

There Is Strength Found In Blood..Hakfu was about to bow, to respond in kind to Jyo, as to how he was no where close to the honorable masters of the school, but, it was in that second that Jyo had rushed at him, jumping in the air, catching Hakfu unprepared. Crap! With only his Ritual Dagger in hand, he took a quick step back, and raised his dagger in a defensive slash, getting pushed back just by the strength.
Damn his lack of strength and endurance..
Skidding back, he had only just barely recovered when, while raising his head up to see the next attack, he saw Jyo shoot his hand at him, and seemingly expelled something from it. Damn, he couldn't take a hit like that head on! Veering to the right, his left arm was caught in the blast.
Rain drops fell from the sky, a testimony to this place.
Blood filtered into the puddles, and in the torn up arm, some bone could be seen.
The blood went down the summoner's arm, collecting at the blank tarot card, forming a Chinese symbol..
A grin.[shadow=brown,left,300][glow=yellow,2,300] "Hirthos divinity thundero Kantan lightle van firmanent des dei Dai."[/glow][/shadow] There was a blast of lightning, blinding the scene..Test of PowerTaking his right hand to his left arm's biceps, he gave a cry, as he snapped it back into place. He felt his left hand's finger's move still, but, just barely. Damn. He'd have to rely on his right hand for the remainder of this battle. But.. for all the aches and pains, Jyo had saved him the trouble of cutting himself, even if the trade off of pain was a little much.
Normally, such an attack wouldn't have any effect on such a person, but Hakfu Song was weak.. very weak, physically, anyways. Damn his lack of endurance. Grinning bravely, he waved at Jyo.."Don't mind me.. I'd continue this fight to near death, if you'd give me a chance. I'm here to test out my strength.. and to fight at your hardest.. is honorable."It was obvious to see that he was Chinese at this moment.. but, it was not Hakfu's defiance to give up that was to be of alarm at this moment..[shadow=brown,left,300][glow=yellow,2,300]Dai: Ish nuu?[/glow][/shadow] The grin broadened on Hakfu's face. An electrical deity in a place that was raining.. water, after all, conducted electricity, so, this whole place was a suspectible. Electrical charges sizzled around Dai. Regardless of the advantage after all, electricity would be more powerful, and thus... more energy would be used to control the amount being used up. Hakfu, however, already aware of these consequences, knew it was his best shot. Switching his dagger to his left hand, and pulling out Ceremonial Fan, he pointed it earnestly, at Jyo."To protect, we must harm. Electhos van jubilie de anthos Dai."The energy began to accumulate around Dai's right arm, as he lifted it up, pointing it also at Jyo.[shadow=brown,left,300][glow=yellow,2,300]".. Ish nuu."[/glow][/shadow] It blasted out of the Deity's hands, directly at Jyo, but spreading out as it progressed, like a shotgun, thanks to the rain deflecting the full effect of it. However, even Hakfu winced, as he felt charges of electricity go through his legs. But 'Spark', as it was called, was only a low-level spell..

Jyo saw the damage he had done to Hafku. He was stunned. His power in the spell was still slightly out of his control. He remembered what it had done to the Jackle. Perhapes useing that much charge had permently altered the effectivness of that spell. It had only been ment to be able to knock Hafku away not truly harm him. He was glad the man had been able to get out of the way.
Jyo heard the words Hafku spoke and realized this man had similar views as his own. Honor was in trying one's best and doing what they could to be the best chalenge to your foe in any sort of combat.
He waited for the summon to be complete in the interests of fair play. Then the summon's attack came in. Jyo raised his hand to use his shield spell but the wide attack still hit him slightly. He grunted and then he threw his weapon in a spiraling motion at the summon useing his levitation spell to control the blade's path.

Fruits of Labor
He shuddered a little, as a little of his soul was eaten away, determined not to show weakness to Jyo. It was part of his deal with summoning.. even yet, at his level, he did not have enough energy on his own to summon and maintain these creatures without tribute from his own soul.. that made things all the more difficult, as he felt fatigue wear into him a little.
Droplets of blood trickled down his arm, joining in the drops of water that fell from the Heavens. This was a good battle. Already, he had suffered an injury because of it, and Jyo had allowed him to summon the corperol planes of the battlefield. And even with the water augumentation, apparently, Jyo was able to deflect some of it, and avoid the full attack using a shield like technique. Hakfu was enjoying this all, very throughly, learning more and more of this man and his ways of fighting..
It was this man's skills and himself that made him so damn versatile. Hakfu doubted he could win even more, but wanted to fight all the harder now. He could understand why this man was so easy to get drawn to. Honor in battle, strength desireable, knowledge vast. A true rolemodel at Arcane Academy. Here Hakfu was, at twenty-seven years of age, with only around ten spells known, his own abilities extremelly limited.. he admired this man's abilities greatly.
"You know, I would love to support you in battle one of these days, after I learn a few more spells for my summons."
Leon's attack had begun again, however, and he threw his sword, which.. magically, was heading for Dai. Dai was easy to control, but..
He swept his fan, covering his own face.
"Kakdefenthos!"
Hearing this, Dai came to life, allowed to use his own free will allowed to defend himself and Hakfu Song. Drawing out its hilt, the electrical blade blasted out Dai whirled around then, and used its light stepping, dexterity, and it deadlocked the blade with an upward swinging diagonal slash to the right. As the deadlock continued, Dai moved its left hand onto the hilt.
This worried Hakfu Song.. on one hand, as this was just the beginning of the battle, Jyo would use much of his energy to continue the deadlock, and Hakfu would win, having the greater amount of energy. However, while they both were deadlocked, the question was if Jyo could keep concentrated the levitation of the sword and keeping it forced while attacking Hakfu on his own..
Just in case, Hakfu, still holding the Ceremonial fan, pulled out his Jian, and held both together in his hand. Not the best grip, but, he could now at least defend himself and direct Dai when needed. His Ritual Dagger was also kept in his left hand to further his insurance of self-defense. Otherwise, he stayed where he was, determined to avoid direct attacks from Jyo.

Jyo used the levitation spell to bring his weapon back when Hafku spoke again. "I look forward to it. I'm sure we have much to learn from each other." he said seeing that he was slightly outmatched with the summon and Hafku had taken up some form of defense.
Alright then let's see. Physically he is not a match for me at this point. he has more energy but it's clear he hasn't had as much training. And his spells and summon's speels don't pack the punch mine does... Perfect." He thought as his blade became sheathed in lighting in case the summon with the lightning balde attacked him. Jyo would be able to block such attacks.
His right hand then curled as an orb of fire built up. He charged it fully for it's level and he then threw the orb at the summon. It would explode with the force of a grenade.
Jyo rushed forward again with his weapon held in front of him in a defensive position similar to '2nd position' In fencing as he dashed to Hafku him self keeping an eye on the effects of his Fir Orb spell. He might have to still protect himself from the summon.

An Uncomfortable Position.. Or... Is It?
This man was good. Too good. But, despite this, he noted that Jyo was cooling down, mulling some things over.. but, the same way he had been given leniency in the respite, so too did he, but he did not have long to wait. The sword that this mage used began to shine, as it was electrified. Damn, he knew electrical magics as well.. that may cancel out their attacks on one another. But then, Jyo's right hand curled up, forming up his energies there... into... a fire spell!?
He thought he could even sense Dai almost confused. But it didn't matter... this place was wet, a most inappropriate place to summon Kai, and was raining yet, if just progressively slowing down. However, as the energy ball began to charge up, Hakfu became alarmed.
Get ready to dodge, Dai.
My corperol eyes make that much apparent.
Sorry... forgot.
Humans..
The ball was released as Dai communited this last thought, and just haphazardly jumped back, but was nonetheless caught in the blast somewhat.. the full effects of the damage were unable to tell from the still dispersing smoke.
His robes felt sagging, clinging to his skin, and Hakfu knew that this was what Jyo had wanted to do. In response, Hakfu began to quickly back up, seeing Jyo's quick advance upon him, Hakfu advancing past the still somewhat smoldering image of Dai, leading Jyo on..
The smoke still remained, but, the deity had moved on..
Stopping immediatly, letting Jyo catch up, he began the incantation: "To protect, we must harm. Electhos van jubilie de anthos-."
A defeated smile.
Dai's dexterity was not to be underestimated, and its evasion and recovery from the blast was definetly quickened by the rain and water on the grounds already. The Deity was facing Hakfu, Jyo between them, his arm already raised and charging, ready to blast them both.. should any further steps be taken..
"Unless you have any other tricks up your sleeve... the best I can fight you to is probably a tie and blast us both away. You'd be hit in the back, obviously a very crucial area.. and well, obviously, I can't take much physical pain in general, so I'd be knocked out as well. Just one more word to complete the prayer.."
He began to mouth it, getting ready to say it. His left arm twittered, as he let go of the ritual dagger, letting it fall to the ground, blood undeserved, running down its tip.

It was the smile that got Jyo to turn around. he saw the summon was still up. Damn I didn't take it out. He thought and then Hafku spoke. Jyo could tell what was going on. Hafku was not bluffing. Jyo could only think of one thing. If my focused ram has become stronger than logically the shield that used the same type of magic has gotten a change as well he thought and as Hafku spoke Jyo readied his shield again but put much more into it. he kept his sword pointed at Hafku in case the man tried something different.

OOC: Remember this post:
OOC: Just to explain the following. The ritual dagger was dropped in my last post.
Last Attempt
He pointed the twenty-eight inch jian in turn back at Jyo. Jyo had raised his other arm up, palm facing back at Dai.
"Your fire attack you realize... or any fire magic for that matter is always never a good thing to use in a wet place. If you need an explanation for my summons quick recovery, besides the fact that he has a noticeably faster dexterity then myself by about ten fold.. there is your explanation."
He took a step towards Jyo, almost ready to slash and use 'shock' to blast them both.
"And actually, neither is electricity. The grounds are wet. We are standing in the equivalent of a very, very, large puddle.. so, when I set off my spell, in our direction, we will get the full blast of it, before it sets off in all directions, and amplified so, because we're both wet, and water conducts electricity, causing it to expel more energy then usual. So, as I'm now aiming down, past your legs.."
Hakfu lowered his sword, pointing between the legs of Jyo.
"Well, let's just say that for the both of us, it would be really, rather unpleasant."
A grin.
It was followed by a quick clinking of Hakfu's sword back into his sheath, followed by a huge smile.
"I have my tactical victory, but, if you were to still withstand the blast, which you undoubtly would have... well, I will not use such low-class attempts to win at all ways possible. That is not honorable. A tactical win is good enough, so, I forfeit. Dismissed!"
His last words were directed to Dai, waving off his hand into the air carelessly.
[shadow=brown,left,300][glow=yellow,2,300]"Ish nuu."[/glow][/shadow]
In another blast of light, Dai disappeared from our world in its corperol form, lessening the soul stress on Hakfu Song. He didn't feel too well, but, the fight was pleasing to himself. In all, Hakfu probably used about four-tenths of his energy, due to the overexertion the rain had caused on Dai's ability to effectively control his powers. But, it was enough. Stepping back a little, Hakfu bowed at Jyo.
"It was an honor to have fought you, Jyo Mashima, nineteen years of age. I am disappointed in myself in being unable to try out this new spell I have discovered, called, 'Electrical Field', which slows down movement of creatures with a nervous system like you and me. However, as it would have been Dai channeling it, and, as I'm obviously not skilled at all in fighting.. it would've been a calculated loss."
Smile.
"You have much talent, and many years ahead of you, much contrary to myself. Congratulations on your victory."
Bowing again, he held his right hand up to his face, his two forefingers erected, as he closed his eyes, honoring the good battle, the worthy opponent, Jyo Mashima.
OOC: Sorry about the overuse on the 'raining' thing.. but, it was the only edge I had on you, because of your first post.. sorry man! Good fight.

Jyo smiled and charged down his shield. "Actualy there is something about elemental magic thatis not effected by the weather. Normally only thngs asrain which add onto things as lightning take effect. If it's incredibly hot or cold then such thngs as fire and ice are effected. But stratigicaly I can see your point and it's agood one." He said and gave a bow now that the fight was over.
"And I doubt I would be surviving such a blast. But one never knows. You have an envyable aount of pure magic energy. I must wonder. How ong haveyou focused on those powers?' He asked knowing that in power this man's summon power matched Ziare's at least.

Question, How Many Years?
True.. which is why the fire attack was able to carry through when the energy was still being summoned up by Jyo personally.. but, the after-effects of any burning would only last so long as their was energy to burn.. in a spell caster's case, the magic they discharged. However.. as with all spells, the energy dissipitates back into the natural world, unless throughly concentrated.. enough to make Dai back off, but with nothing more to burn, well, nature took its course.
An honorable fighter.. that was Jyo, and it made many things clear to Hakfu on that. Humble and modest as well, but if anything, only Hakfu would've been knocked out, or killed. Jyo's resilence as a fighter was far mightier then his own to take physical pain. But then, the issue of Hakfu's energy came up.
A sad smile.
Hakfu, trying to flex his left hand around a little, put more pressure on the open wound, where the bone was exposed at one point. Painful. But then, he was a weakling... he doubted that any other apprentice would've taken the blast so badly other then himself. With his chin, he motioned to his arm, eyes closing as he thought to himself.
"Nine years of testing myself and meditation on obtaining larger amounts of energy, ever since I got out of that orphanage at the age of eighteen, back on the surface world. Only chance to truly practice anything, without being discovered by my peers, you see, but then, I was very ignorant back then on how this all truly works. But yes, nine years of training the mind.. perhaps a little too much of it, as I've never really trained my body for combat purposes."
"But for my summons, well, that's a fairly long-winded story.. and I don't want to bore you, outside, with the rain wetting our ears. In truth, I'm still researching that, going through my father's journal as to what exactly my clan's powers were. Come, coffee for a cold day?"
He shifted his eyes a little, as some water got into his eyes. In truth, he wanted to know more about how Jyo himself got started out, and how he had become so successful, at such a young age as well.

"Yeah going inside sounds like a good thing right now. Hmm lets take a look at the arm. I'm sorry about that. I'm stil learning to keep that spell powered down since the battle with that jackel. Normally it is only like an xtended punch. but lately it's been an actaul energy beam." He said. he then pulled out a small vial.
"He take a swing of this. My mother gives me one everytime I head out. it heals injuries almost instantly. Even though you might still be a bit sore." He said and then they headed back inside.
"So you spent that many years on studying on how to gain that amount of power. I'm impressed. I have only benn learning to focuse my powers for roughly a year or so. Though I grew up here so that makes a difference. I already knew alot in theory. So actually preforming the spells wasn't too hard." he said.
The two of them went inside to a lounge area. They ordered their drinks and sat down at a table. "So it was China you are from right?' he asked.
