Tristan's used knee was opposite to the leg he'd had a hold of, so Kinkatsu's attack would hit the hunters shin, not his groin. It did hurt though, and made Tristan loose his balance, consequently causing him to release his hold on his opponents leg.
The Crusnik fell to the side and braced himself with his hands. Once he was on the ground, Tristan would whirl around to make a strong, but quick sweep with his left leg that would either: A, Cause a good bit of damage to Nanashi's hip should he be on the ground; B, trip him back to the ground should he have made it back to his feet; or C, caused a good bit of damage to the boy's wrist/forearm area, should he have managed to put himself into a half-assed back handspring position to get away.
Tristan himself had once pulled a spinning handstand attack on a friend that had worked out fairly well, so the prospect of that C option would have been plausible. Not to mention Nanashi's attack to the groin had seemingly defied gravity, which was becoming more and more common in the academy.
After the sweep was performed, Tristan would launch himself away in a diving roll and stand to face his opponent. Depending on the effectiveness of Tristan's sweep, Nanashi may have been able to follow the opponent he knew as 'Knight'. That pursuit, however, may not have been the best idea, being that Tristan still had his gauntlet blades.

OOC: Let's hear it for the slow-moving thread!
After the failed kick, Nanashi landed flat on his back. It hurt. His leg hurt, he was more or less out of mana, the only small things he could do involved fire, which he couldn't use in any possible effective way on this guy. The situation didn't look good, and now he had a kick to deal with.
Since it was near the ground, using up a large fraction of his remaining mana, Nanashi lifted a very small stone wall right in front of Knight's foot. It was unlikely it would be bypassed, and in the time it took Knight to ready for another attack, Nanashi would have stood up.
Once he did, he raised both hands. If he had had his sword with him, he would have cast it aside.
"I give up. You win."
Knight was lucky. Nanashi didn't surrender all that often. Regardless, he then lowered his hands, picked up his sword, and after un-splitting it, sheathed it. He then headed back to the main part of the academy, assuming he wasn't for any reason stopped, limping slightly. He wouldn't bother to go to the medical wing; if he could walk on his leg, it wasn't serious, and his back couldn't be more than bruised or else he wouldn't be moving his legs at the moment. Instead, he would go straight to his dorm and get some rest.
OOC: Congrats (assuming you're still there).
Mini-wall: 1 Split: 1 Total: 2 Remaining: .5 Status: Nothing serious.

Tristan was about to shoot forward once again, then stepped himself short at the announcement. "Well that was unexpected." He said in a low voice, then stood in a regular position, and clapped his hands together. His alchemy activated and the blades withdrew themselves from the ends of his gauntlets.
"Well, then. Good match." He said, walking over to his opponent and extending his right hand for the taking. "I'll see you around." He said once they would have shaken hands.
The hunter would then turn 'round and walk off in the opposite direction. [Igneus] He called mentally. The black dragon took off from its perch and returned to his partners shoulder.
It was an interesting fight, one worth remembering though there was always the chance to forget it.
