Tristan would come down to see that mathias wasnt there. He was buried beneath the vines. An eruption occured right next to tristan. It wouldnt hurt him, but it would blow him back a few feet. There was a trail of bloodseeds caught in the slipstream of the airborne mathias. He seemed suspended in the air as he writhed in pain. He fell back to the mass of vines and attempted to stand, but he was keeled over in pain as he let out a scream of shear agony as his clothes were torn to shreds by the energy that erupted from him. The energy would be so great that anyone looking directly at it would be blinded for a few seconds. When the energy settled, mathias was standing there in a massive black cape that fused itself to his skin, forming wings. His maw started to protrude from his mouth, forming fangs. his new clothes seemed to come from nowhere, and they seemed to be almost a shell resembling royal armor in black and gold. His wings were grand indeed, about 6'5" long each.
They seemed to work of their own accord as they launched mathias skyward once more. Mathias seemed to have regained conciousness by now, taken over by the vampire blood in him. The energy absorbed from the plant was so great it surpressed his human side and amplified his vampiric side. He held his hand up as the bloodseeds from the plant all came upward, blotting out the sun. He emptied his holywater containers and filled them full of bloodseeds, this time he knew what he was doing. But where was his sword, clair, and why did his armor have a moving eyeball on the front center of his chestplate.
((OOC: sorry for the long wait, tristan. I was getting permission from the Helper to use this))

Tristan turned around to see that Mathias wasn't actually there. It was strange but the hunter kept slashing at the vines that now fell limp. The insuing blast caught the Crusnik off guard, and knocked him back about a meter before he stabbed his blade into the decaying vine and came to a halt. The flash of light was indeed bright, but that was exactly why Tristan had those sunglasses. Flash bangs? Please.
When the seemingly younger man emerged in vampiric armor- oh yes, Tristan had come across something similar once before- it raised an eyebrow. The eye on the chest plate was something new, though. The vines then gave way under Tristan's weight as they disolved and the seeds returned to their disperser. "Ter-fuckin-riffic." Was what Tristan said before Igneus swooped down and took up his rider.
They soared up until they were level with Mathias. The hunter still had his blade in hand, wondering if he would have to transform as well. So...What is he exactly? I can't tell. Igneus projected.
[Well thats a first] Tristan smirked, to which Igneus snorted a 'Hmph' [If I had to guess...A Dhampire. Half vampire with a supressed vampiric form. They're similar to Crusniks only they don't feed on vampire blood. I'd have the advantage.]
So I see...I'll remember that energy signature Igneus finished, still hovering, facing the adversary.

Mathias let out another scream of agony as a wave of energy burst forth from him, causing a split down his arm which gushed blood.
"Remember it... All... You want... GYAHHHHHHH" he curled in pain as the energy surged through him changed signature from the dispursal.
If one looked, the eye had its gaze fixed on the dragon... it heard the projection. Mathias seemed to be gaining his composure dispite the massive wound on his arm. The vampiric healing was quickened in this state of being, the wound was mended fast, but it still hurt him.
He thought to himself "i'll only have this advantage for a short while before it'll kill me, i have to make my move fast if i want to use it"
He thrust a hand out towards tristan and did something no mere spellcaster could do. He made the area around tristan void of air, this would most likely distract him long enough to catch him off guard by a shard of steel that was shot through a cavity in the bottom of his bracer. He made sure to aim for a point in his arm that would disable his arm and make it near impossible to fight with it.

Tristan became aware of the void of air and his heart beat quickened. It was his first encounter with a Dhampire's true form, and it excited his inhuman nature. [Go] Tristan thought, hopping off his beast. Be careful Igneus projected faintly as the dragon delved into his energy reserves and teleported away, leaving his partner to face Mathias.
The shard entered his arm, but it was too little, too late. "Sorry Damphire...You loose." Tristan said in his now deeper, harsher voice. Quickly, his trasformation completed and the vampire blood that was spilled from Mathias' self inflicted wound drew upward through the air and sunk into Tristan's wings.
The bit of steel expunged itself from the Crusnik's healing flesh and the wound closed, leaving the arm in perfect use. Tristan could consume human blood, but its restoritave properties were nothing like that of a vampires, let alone the fact that the human aspect of the blood was already too far supressed within Mathias to be of any hinderance to the hunter. Tristan's massive, black wings flapped harshly, jutting the man skyward.
Another flap shot Tristan toward his opponent at around forty miles an hour. The goal now was to simply get a hold of the Dhampire, and draw out the vampire energy through his blood were it could then be dispersed through Tristan's mana and the form would be disabled.

Mathias held out his hand. There were two augments on the top of his seemingly living bracer. A shadow and a wind augment. Mathias changed the wind so that it knocked him back.
No doubt Tristan would still shoot in for the kill. Vampiric speed kicked in and Mathias shot to the side with a blast of wind, out of the mans reach.
"So... the anti-vampire. You know, they breed you people in labs now. But i wont bore you with the monologue." he held out one of the bloodseed bottles which packed 1.5 more seeds than his bag did. If tristan noticed, there was a fire augment on that bracer.
"I dare you" He said with a smug grin. The pain became more bearable, there was no pulse yet. But one was sure to come soon enough. If he released this bottle, who knows what he could do.

Tristan came to an aerial halt at the spot where Mathias had been previously. A demonic smirk shot across his face, "Heh...What's that little bush gonna do to me in this form?" It was true enough, the crusniks wings could hack through diamond if they had enough time. To prove his point, Tristan's right hand, as he was left handed and had Shireiutz in that one, shot out and emitted a decent sized fireball right at the bag.
Tristan would then shoot off with a single flap of his wings at an even greater speed than before, blade poised to strike. If it was Mathias that would end up taking the hit, Tristan would make it a scoring blow, but not a fatal one. The Dhampire's blood would strengthen him, but he wasn't aiming to kill.
If it was the formed plant that took the hit, Tristan would strike true, blasting through the vine that would form both with sword and wing, aiming to completly maim the plant through its core, destroying it in a single attack.

Mathias was just about to beat his own wings against the air until another surge went through him. This one was the most powerful yet. The fireball would break as the feild expanded, and Tristan wouldnt notice until he was only inches away (the fireball would mask what was happening). He would be caught up in the feild of energy. This feild would fling tristan back a few yards and stun him.

Tristan's fireball was none too big. It wasn't meant to do any damage to Mathias, simply engulf the bag and ignite the seeds. So if any thing, the fireball was an indicator of the energy wave, leaving the Crusnik to be able to defend. Those huge black wings furled around Tristan and his blade stuck out of the forefront of it.
A flex of fire element, and Tristan was spinning in a deathroll. His positioning made him a drill that shot through the energy wave, and persisted, straight to the Dhampire for a goring blow. If Mathias didn't move, he would be runthrough with Tristan's sword, and carried along with the remaining momentum until Tristan extended his wings to restabilize and dislodge his sword. If that happened, the vampiric blood would be drawn from the wound, and go straight to the black wings, empowering their owner.

The pulse of energy was massive and it didnt stop. Peices of earth were beginning to rise from the sheer force of the energy... and he was boring through it?!
The eye on his chestplate was spinning wildely as tristan was slowly boring through the energy. If he reached mathias, it would be like a pressure drill going through a marshmallow... slow, but very painful, and the flesh it did touch would be blended to a liquid. The swiveling eye came to focus on the giant black drill. A red beam connected the cornea to the man as the armor itself screamed in pain. The persistant feild of energy was all focused into a single beam of pure mana force (for the FF8 lovers, it's like ultima, a non-elemental attack) that would counter the bore with a drill-like force of its own. If they continued like this for much longer, the mana of both attacks would shift time-space at the collision point. With the force of the energy, tristan would begin to go backwards in his attack unless he broke contact or strengthened his attack.

The beautiful thing about Tristan's sword, is that it was forged with diamond as well as titanium. How they pulled that off, no one knows. Now, with the concept, and it proved to be true, that gems could hold energy, Tristan's sword was a conductor for mana, and could also deflect magic, making it somewhat of an ultimate weapon- despite the old saying that "it's not the weapon, it's the weilder".
Shireiutz held its own against the mass of mana, and Tristan's boring was at a stand still. He was forced to abandon the death roll attack, and fend off the field. How the crusnik did that, was by encasing himself entirely in his wings, and letting the 'ultima' mana begin to engulf him. Once it came to a certian point, he let out a roar and shot out his wings, forcing a rift in the mana, causing a spacial distortion.
The atoms at the impact point began to break apart, and the area became extremely volitile, what would happen at Tristan's next attack, was unknown.
That next attack came in furiously as he went back to his boring tactic, having made some head way, only this time, he'd put fire element into his blade, utilizing his fire sword attack. The additional- what you could call solid- blade of flame, that slowly pushed its way to extend a good five feet past the tip of the single edge long sword would add to Tristan's drilling attack and hopefully give him enough power to force through the energy field, even if slowly.

Tristans attack was still closing distance, therefore the mana stream, like a spring, became more condensed. Mathias' attack immediately halted, leaving tristan a straight, clean shot right into mathias. But he wouldnt hit him. The compression of that amount of mana caused a distortion and slipped mathias in to a space-time rift. Mathias was caught in somewhat of an alternate dimension. Everything stood still, as if it were a transrealm prototype...
Mathias saw the massive black drill, but because it was in motion in the real realm, the image was a little ghostly. Mathias wondered... Where the steel shard had come from once, a long blade now came out.
He walked infront of tristan (a few yards back incase the time-space rift closed) and threw the steel shard. Mathias felt the entire realm twitch around him and lept out of the way. He slipped back into the real realm, and what took mathias a good while to do would only be mere milliseconds in real time.
"Why wasn't i torn to shreds... i was moving almost as fast as light"
The blade itself was going so fast it practically disintegrated into thousands of small steel shards which were travelling at a speed high enough to go through 3 feet of diamond (it is well known that a toothpick -shot from something that had the force of a hurrican- could penetrate 2 feet of concrete, and that the same amount of force could shoot an egg through a brick wall, so this isnt totally impossible.). the peices would cut through the wings and armor like a hot knife through snow, dispite the angle they hit at. Tristan would be stripped of a good amount of skin and left a mere heap of Crusnix on the ground. Not dead, but severely maimed and disabled.

Tristan's wings began to surge with pain as the steel shards shot through them. Lucky enough, those arc angel wings didn't disrupt the barrier around Tristan's vest. The damage was minimal as the shards were stopped dead against the barrier of the kevlar 49 vest. No matter how much force something had, if it had no magic backing it, it was stopped dead by the barrier.
Forced to stop the death roll inlight of his wings, Tristan hovered in place. His crusnik blood dripped from his wings. the shards were so tiny that only a few opened a wound large enough shed any blood. The pain had been immense through his wings, and the Crusnik had a pain contorted expression on his face. [Time to end this, even he can't stop this one.] Tristan though to himself, beginning to focus his mana.
The flames around his sword died, and his wings raised high. The air sparked as it ionized. Now that the mana wave had ceased, there would be no time-rifts to protect Mathias. His blood, which trickled on his wings, began to glow in a dull yellow. A few seconds would go by, and bolts of electrical energy began to fly around. "This is the end." The crusnik voice came. Tristan's mana let loose in full force, he didn't want to kill Mathias, so the attack went out in an enormous field.
The blood lust lightning attack shot out in a sphere around Tristan with enough force to kill a human at any one point. It would shoot out a quarter mile in almost an instant, insuring that it would hit its target. Being a Dhampire, it wouldn't kill Mathias, but it would no doubt incapacitate him and his new form. The problem being, that Tristan had used up every bit of his mana, and fell straight to the ground, returning to his human form, out cold once the field disipated a few moments later.

A grin played on mathias's face. Though bruised, battered and torn from the energy dispursals, the time rift and the intense strain of the fight. It would finally be over. He had only a bit of energy left, the threat of his death died long ago after enough energy had been released. Now he had only enough mana left to execute one last move.
His clair armor connected to him with tendrils that peirced the spinal column "THIS IS IT, MATHIAS. The infamouse attack of the Crusnix, BLOODLUST LIGHTNING!"
He saw the wings sparkle and he felt the air charge. A dribble of blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.
"so soon? now now, tristan, you dissapoint me. Though i must say, this fight has lasted too long"
Just before the attack could take hold of him, he used one of the most famouse of the vampire moves. His wings cracked against the wind as he opened a rift into the transrealm. He dissapeared just as tristan executed his attack, he couldnt turn it back now. Mathias went to open up the portal out of the transrealm... but he couldnt! his wings were returning to the form of his clothing and the transrealm scavenger demons began to slip in around mathias. Mathias connected one of clairs tendrils into one of the demons as he sucked the mana from it, using that to open the portal out.
When mathias came out of the transrealm he was back to his own regular form and positioned in the air. If he had slipped back out when he planned, he would have been caught dead in the attack, but thanks to his lack of mana, he had been kept up long enough to come out as the attack ended. Vampiric transportation, an alternative to the fog form transport. The difference being that instead of turning into moisture and recllecting from the moisture of another areas air, he slipped into another realm alltogether, there was no way for anything to tag along behind him, and the only danger was those transrealm demons (the transrealm is commonly used during teleport magic, but they are shot through so quickly they dont notice what happened).
Mathias came down right after tristan hit, using a big blast of wind to soften the blow. Mathias was beaten, battered, and bruised, but it was over, it was finally over. To ensure his victory, he used aeroscribe to draw a solomon sealing circle around tristan that would bind him both physically and magicaly.
