Why does that prevent him from welcoming back a fellow member? Is it really that big of a deal as to whether he knows him or not?

Okay maybe you didn't prevent him from posting however you post implied that he did not belong here welcoming back Torm simply because of the fact that he did not know him as well as some of the other members. However I really would prefer not to get into an argument of any type.

Everything you said was not stated in my post, hence, not applied or implied. Most of it, in my sense, asks, "Why?" That's just my implementation and interpretation. However, if you'd like to state again that I said something else, go ahead.

Well fine then if we're going to argue I'm going to at least defend my accusation.
Let's break down the conversation:
Roy: Welcome back, dude.
You: What'f? You didn't even know him!
Okay now I don't know about most people but to me, you're statement comes off as very dismissive, as if Roy doesn't deserve to welcome back Torm because he doesn't know him as well as some other members. Was it really necessary to dedicate a whole post to criticizing Roy for posting a friendly welcome back to Torm? All in all the post, to me, seemed unneccessary and overly harsh. Why act as if Roy isn't allowed to welcome back Torm based solely on the fact that you or some other memebers happen to know Torm better than Roy might?

I just don't see the point in posting specifically to criticize Roy for welcoming back a member of the board. He was only being polite and good-natured, why criticize that?
