Dragon's Tear Ballroom

[Shea]

The dress fit just right. The tangerine color not only played off her skin tone but off her eye color. That was the main reason it had been chosen. Because of all the colors in the world this shade of orange went best with her eyes. Her black hair was pulled back in gracefull curls and ringlets that gave her a very royal appearance and she wore diamonds and no other stone tonight.


A knock sounded on her door and she smiled. Her engagement ring was on her left hand. She had been twisting it around her finger in her nervousness. But the time had come to show her dress to the man she loved most in this world and see what he thought about it. She swished over to the door since her full skirt made that noise when she walked the silver high heeled sandals underneath clicked on the floor beneath her.

She opened the door and smiled brightly. There was her fiance dressed up in a very nice suit. Her dress some how didn't seem adequate next to that. She smiled shyly and stepped out of her room locking the door behind her.

"Evening, Darian." she said softly.

[Corsair]

Corsair looked over at Midori and ince more his eyes opened wide and he was at a loos for words.
"There is nothing I could say to you credit. You just look too wonderful for words." He said and brought the box to bear and opened it. Inside was a corsage that matched her dress perfectly. he took her hand and gently puled it to him and placded the corsage on her wrist.
"As I said this is tradition to do this." he said then placed the box on a table nearby.

"Once more I must say there's nothing I could say to compliment you properly." He said.

[Jade Wainwright]

Jade paced. 5:59 and he had one minute to get there or he was gonna get it. She wouldn't be kind enough to bite him or anything no. He'd enjoy that way too much. No he would get something worse. Like no kisses. No touches. No soft carresses. He best be on time. She had stress...

And there he was. She could smell him and hear him waiting just outside her door. She grinned. She was ready for this. She wanted to go and see what a magic school prom was like. Jade had always wanted to experience new things and now she was going to have time to do just that.

She opened the door revealing her dress...

"You were almost late. Naughty boy, what ever shall I do with you?" she chuckled as she stepped out of her room and into the hallway. Her long hair was loose as normal it was much too long and thick to try something fancy.

[Darian Dumonte]

Once again Shea had given Darian a big surprise as the door opened and he saw her in a regal and stunning dress. The tangerine color of the dress seemed to fight her so nicely as it not only went with her emerald eyes but, also her skin complexion. He felt like he hadn't done enough for his outfit to compliment hers. She looked wonderful tonight and he gave a smile at her kissing her on the lips in a soft and loving kiss. His hands took hers gently as he held his lips against hers for a few moments. There was no other way around it he loved the way she looked and she always made things seem perfect like tonight for instance.

"You love lovely Shea, like a queen," he said with a smile as he held her hands and began to walk with her towards the elevator. When they reached the elevator and it began to go down he turned and placed a rose crosage on her the rose being a white one that went with her diamonds and he gave a smile at her. This was an evening that they both looked forward to especially since they were more closer then ever. He smiled at her and took Shea's hand once more exiting the elevator and heading to the teleporter. There they were whisked away to the beautiful ship and he walked with her in measured courtly steps to the ballroom where he descended on the floor with her and began to dance. They both dancing beautifully and regally.

"I'm glad this night is with you Shea."

[Midori]

Midori could only blush under the eyes of Cor. She couldn't believe it when his eyes opened wider. He was cute and he looked so handsome in his suit. But his reaction was not something she had expected in the least.

"Thank you, those words right there mean more than enough." she said with a brighter blush.

A box was brought forward. This must be the surprise he mentioned. She waited and danced a bit inside as he opened the box. She smiled brightly.

"Flowers for me!? Thank you!" she said with a bright smile and a shining look in her eyes. She looked over at the couples already dancing on the floor and she looked up at Corsair.

"Should we dance?" she asked.

[Shea]

She couldn't help but enjoy the wonderful reaction she got from Darian. He had yet to see her in a full ball gown and now he had. the reaction was definatly worth buying such an expensive dress. She kissed him back gently as he held her hands in his. This was a special and magical night for the both of them.

Together in silence they walked to the elevator and inside he placed a corsage on her wrist. It was a beautiful white rose and it matched her dress perfectly. She smiled at him and her fingers entwined in his again as they teleported themselves to the most beautiful ship she had ever seen.

She had been in castles before and this put so many of them to shame. The ballroom alone was huge and goregous. Already couples were on the floor dancing and having a good time. They weren't first but they sure weren't last. It was perfect. Her green eyes looked around the room and a smile was on her face.

"How about we show these people how you dance at a ball?" she chuckled as he led her to the dance floor.

She took the proper form as did he and she let him lead in the proper waltz for this song. She smiled and she looked right into his eyes. He was her world for the moment.

"I'm glad you asked me. I'm glad we're here together and we can share this moment." she said softly.

[Corsair]

Corsair smiled and offered his hand to her.
"I was thinking along the same lines. I would love to dance with you. In my mind you are the most beautiful woman here." He said as he led her out to the dance floor and began the Waltz with her. It wasn't a simple dance when he used all the steps. He felt she would be a quick study if she didn't know the dance. He had her left hand in his right hand and his left hand was on her waist as he gently and gracefully steered her aorund the dance floor looking down into the Emerald eyes that drew him in like nothing else could.

[Kheldar]

There were times that Kheldar wanted to just drop to his knees and thank whatever God had given him life. This was one of them...Jade wasn't just beautiful in the crimson red dress that just seemed to accent her in all the right places. She also looked dropdead sexy and for once Kheldar almost lost his grip and openly drooled. Who wouldn't want to drool when Jade was wearing a dress that could turn heads and implode brains just by mere glances in her direction. Khel was glad that he wasn't on the recieving end of her AHAHAHAHA you can't have me side. He had a sneaky feeling that he was going to be pitying half of AA's male population tonight.

HAH IT'S NOT ME!

Khel looked up at her and gave a small grin as he closed her door when she was out.

"So should I drool now or later?"

Khel said with a soft voice as he walked with Jade towards the elevator that took them down to the ground floor. Soon they were through the designated teleporter and were at the celebration location so to speak. He walked with Jade into the ballroom and blinked realizing he didn't know slow step.

"You're going to have to guide me again..."

[Midori]

Cor led her out on the dance floor. She had danced before sure. But faerie and humans danced differently. A Faerie danced from her soul letting the music guide her but a human tended to like counted and calculated steps. She was going to have to let the man lead her because she had no idea how to do these dances.

Her right hand on his shoulder and her left holding his right he began to lead her through the complicated steps. She watched his feet and began to get the hang of it. She looked up letting her eyes meet his and she smiled. His blue eyes were so very beautiful and they just captured her like no one elses.

"Thank you for bringing me." she said with a soft smile as they moved around on the dance floor.

[Corsair]

"Thank you for coming with me. I think I must be the luckiest guy here." He said leading her into a twirl. He let her get to the extent of his arm with the twirl and then pulled her in gently and she was closer to him this time as after a while they finished the dance.
"So how does your race dance, I'm rather curious." he said. He then realized how very close he had pulled her in.

[Jade Wainwright]

Jade reached into the breast of her dress and pulled out a blood red hankercheif and wiped Khel's mouth. She chuckled. She couldnt help it. There was no drool but his face alone had shown that there was about to be. Tucking the hankercheif back into her dress where it was hidden again she took his hand.

Down the elevator and out through the teleporters they came together to the prom. Couples dancing about only one looked like they actually knew a real dance and they both had something .. regal and refined about them. Probably rich kids by the look of the outfits and jewelry.

Khel told her she would have to lead and she didn't mind. She sauntered out on the floor the folds of her dress swaying and hugging her body.

"Stand on my feet. Don't worry, it won't hurt." she said with a wink. And as Khel did so she began to dance. Letting her make him dance with her like this. He wouldn't have to worry about looking like an idiot but would be able to dance with her none the less.

"Don't drool on the dress please, it would cost a fortune to clean." she chuckled.

[Midori]

"Somehow I bet every guy here thinks the very same thing about his own date." she chuckled.

She was surprised at the sudden twirl. Her skirts flared out as he spun her the full length of his arm. He pulled her back in and she instantly knew she was closer. But she didn't move back nor did she care. It was nice to be this close to him. As they continued dancing he asked her about her own race and she smiled.

"We dance more from the heart. Let the music take us and pull us in. You let the music give you the steps you don't make them on your own. I'll have to show you if they place a song that isn't led by an orchestra with counted steps." she offered.

[Corsair]

"Well until that happens I guess on with the dance." he said smiling as he kept leading her through the steps.
"This is one of the few I know the steps to. I should be able to dance like you. I normally let myself flow with the music." He said as he led her closer to the center of the ballroom. In truth he wanted to be seen with this lovely woman dancing with him.

[Midori]

She had to admit though that the dance was graceful in it's own right. And she was definatly enjoying herself. Now that she was even closer to him than before. She didn't mind the tatoos showing and she didn't mind that her wings were out. In fact they even seemed to go with her dress.


"I should like to see you dance to the music." she chuckled wondering just how her armored suitor would be able to. Not that she doubted him on the contrary she figured he could but she wondered just how graceful he would be at such a feat.

"Where did you learn to dance like this?" she asked. She was not really paying attention to the others around her. Her eyes were only for Cor and right now they had hit their mark.

[Corsair]

"Oh I've learned back at home. My mom taught me alot of the moves. But over time it came from dancing with some other girls back home. But they don't even come close to being as enjoyable as dacing with you." He said with a smile and twirled her again.

He was smiling widly. Rarely did he enjoy dancing this much. but somethig about Midori made it so much better.
