Dragon's Tear Ballroom

Darian gave a smile at Shea's words. A proper dance she wanted? Well then Darian guessed that he would have to show this crowd what the could do. He took her in the proper form and began to almost glide with her years of practice and natural dexterity making them graceful on the dance floor. He gave a smile at her his eyes holding hers as they danced in a timeless dance that had been around for ages both of them moving with regal grace and fashion. He heard her words and gave another of those private smiles just for her.

"It was my pleasure to ask Shea, after all an occaison like this just wouldn't be right without you you know," Darian said softly to her as he twirled with her for a moment and continued waltzing through the song with Shea his love.

"This is a rather beautiful ship," he murmured as he held her gaze. "But, not as beautiful as the gem that is dancing with me."

[Kheldar]

Khel had felt her wipe his mouth and gave a wary sort of grin at that. Jade was able to pick out his thoughts easily but, she didn't mind it coming from him which was a good thing given how hot she was. They were in the ballroom currently and she just gave one of those small smiles that said it was all right. Khel rubbed the back of his head for a moment the diamond stud earring glinting in his recently pierced ear. He blinked when she told him to stand on her feet but, remembered that she could easily do this sort of thing. He complied and carefully situated himself and gave a smile. It just looked like they were dancing closer to anyone else as Kheldar followed the form she was taking.

"Thank god one of us can do this..." Kheldar murmured and gave a grin at her as they moved about the floor.

....yes this so rocks...

"So maybe the next time a formal dance happens you could have me taught so I don't have to stand on your toes..." Khel said with a rueful chuckle as he ran his finger against the back of her hand ever so slightly and turned his gaze to where it was holding heres once more. He shifted slightly his face only a couple inches from hers.

"So what would happen if you bit me?"

[Lexandra]

It was going to be a great evening. Allready despite herself she was having a great time. She couldn't help but feel happy that this was exactly where she was at the moment. She let him pull her close and she blushed. Yes Lexi blushed at his sweet comments.

When he leaned in and kissed her she was utterly suprised. She closed her eyes and kissed him back even deepening it a bit more by pressing herself closer to him. The kiss broke and she smiled. A different Lexi was out tonight.

"Hey Xav. I'm only going to say this once so listen k?" she said with a small chuckle as one hand cupped his cheek her thumb stroking his cheek.

"Thank you for asking and for bringing me. I'm having a great time." she whispered and kissed him again her hand still stroking his cheek. She let this kiss last. Tonight she felt like a girl and she felt like she wanted to show Xav just how much she cared for him. But tonight she felt even more than that but was unsure how to explain it. Maybe it was the suit but whatever it was. She didn't want to leave his arms.

[Xavier]

Xavier smiled gently as he looked down at her while she talked. She certainly seemed different tonight, Xavier was hoping he had finally broken through the wall she seemed to so often put up around herself. He felt privilleged that she had decided to reveal this side of herself to him. Xavier was about to say something like that when she kissed him. He returned the kiss pulling away with a soft but bright smile.

"Thank you for letting me take you tonight and letting me make tonight so special for you," he said with a grin, squeezing her gently against him, "Wonder if they'll play anything but slow songs?" he wondered and then looked down at her with a wry grin, "Not that I mind holding you like this of course..." he said, chuckling.

[Lexandra]

Aww damn the kid had to go ruin it all by going mushy on her. She smirked and the old Lexi returned. Brief was the time of softness from her. She shook her head at him and chuckled.

"Well there you go Xav gettin' all mushy on me and ruining the moment. Way to go .. very smoothe." she chuckled.

The dance continued and she let him lead her around the floor. She was having a good time but she had already admitted it and she sure as hell wasn't going to say it twice.

"And don't get used to this dress crap. Because the moment we leave, I'm back to normal Lexi and you can just like my jeans." she reminded him. She looked deep into his eyes. She couldn't help but smile though.

"Damn it Xav, how dare you bring me to this hell hole. You're ruining my image." she said.

[Xavier]

Xavier couldn't help but laugh as he shook his head. He was learning to deal with this side of Lex. She had a soft side to her but it was buried underneath a mound of saracasm and razor sharp tongue. But despite that the fact that he had uncovered her soft side at least once gave him confidence. He was beginning to learn she was really all bark and no bite. Though he would still be a little cautious and watch his step, wouldn't want to give her a reason to start biting.

"Well I'm sorry," he said with a smirk, "Maybe it's you who's ruining my image, ever think of that?" he asked with a chuckle, "And don't worry about the dress thing, frankly I was suprised that you actually did get a dress for this," he said with a grin, "Could you at least consider leaving your hair down?" he asked with a hopeful expression, "Your hair looks a lot better when you let it down," he said with a grin and leaned in for a deeper kiss, "I figure since I've already started ruining your reputation I might as well just finish it off," he said with a soft grin.

[Lexandra]

It was going to be an interesting night. Xav had never been this clingy before. Something had him very needy tonight. But she didn't mind. For some reason, Xav was very attracted to her and she was enjoying it. She liked that he was taking control right now and she wasn't going to complain.

"We'll see. It depends." she said it was all she could get out before he kissed her deeply.

It seemed that more and more Xav was wanting to kiss her. She didn't mind. For a girl that had never been kissed before these were rather nice. She kissed him back deeply holding herself to him. If the music stayed slow she feared they wouldn't make it to dinner but Xav would be dragging her off to some room. She broke the kiss and pressed her forehead against his.

"Damn you're so lucky I didn't bring Shadow. I think you're taking advantage of that fact." she chuckled.

[Xavier]

Xavier was a little surprised at his own actions know that he actually thought about them. He knew he as attracted to her but he didn't want to move too fast. Though she apparently didn't seem to have any objections.

"You couldn't put an arrow me eve if you had Shadow," he said with a challenging smirk, "Besides you're enjoying yourself far too much to even think of doing something like that," he said with a chuckle.

Xavier grinned as he held her against him. He wasn't sure if he was still moving but apparently they were stll dancing. Since they had started dancing Xavier had sort of forgotten that they were in fact dancing. His feet were moving on there own and he was grateful because it gave him more time to concentrate on her.

"I apologize now if I drool at any point during tonight. It's going to be hard not to with you looking so good," he said with a smirk, "Don't think I didn't notice how much you loved my initial reaction to your dress," he said with a sly grin.

[Lexandra]

"Are you kidding me. A good time? Look at me. My hair is in my face. The lace under this dress itches to the begeezus belt. I can barely breathe and if the dress wasn't as tight as it is it would fall off. These heels.. well they're just evil." she said and sighed heavily.

But deep down she didn't mind any of those things at all. It was nice to be with him and nice to be so out of her element. As prom was. She was not in her element here no infact she couldn't be more out of place for those that actually knew the girl.

"And I swear, Xav. If you drool on my dress I will beat you so you have no mouth to drool from." she said her eyes narrowing for a moment. Then she laughed and kissed him again. They had only kissed once really but now she couldn't help it she was addicted now.

[Celeste]

It was finally the blessed evening. Celeste had changed a lot since meeting Angra. Many things had helped that change and she had made a more physical change to go along with it. She wasn't the same Celeste that Seig and Drake had met during that first week. But she thought that she should look different and so she did.

She had gotten her hair extended. So now the once white lockes now fell down to her hips and in a bright pink color. And her clothing had even changed. Instead of beautiful and pure colors she wore a lot of black and vibrant colors. Such as now her dress it was black and pink.



Celeste stood just outside the teleporters waiting for her date Angra. He was to meet her hear and her feet shifted her weight from side to side in the high heels that she wore. Her dress was perfect. It had taken some time to find a dress for her new look and she hoped this worked. She more than anything wanted Angra to like it.

He seemed to like her look from before and she only prayed that she hadn't ruined that. They tended to be very physical with each other and she didn't want to know she had made herself unattractive. So she was more nervous than most girls at prom because she had changed everything.

And so she waited by the teleporter for her date.

[Midori]

Midori was spun again and she came back to his arms she smiled up at her date. He had just finished telling her she was a better dancer than all the other girls he had danced with before. She found that a bit odd considering she had never danced these kinds of dances before.

"You give me too much credit. Today is the first day I have tried a dance like this and I assure you, you will have had better partners than me." she said with a smile as she stared up in his vibrant blue eyes.

"I think you are by far the best dancer of us two. But thank you for being patient with me."

[Corsair]

"I never said the best. I said the most enjoyable. You learn fast and seem to get into the dance quickly. And also going around the ballroom with you is very pleasent." he said with a wink as they found themselves directly in the center of the ballroom. He decided he would stay there with her for at least the rest of this song. Others would have their chance to take the spotlight. But it was Corsair's turn right now. he was more than just happy that Midori was the girl with him as well. He couldn't think of a girl he'd want to be here with more than her

[Midori]

He finally led her to the center of the ballroom and she felt a bit self conscious. But if the others in the room were anything like she was they wouldn't be worrying about what was going on around them but what thier date was doing. That was all she wanted. She didn't care about the red head or the black headed girl somewhere in the room. She was worried about the man that was holding her close and the one that seemed to actually enjoy the company of a faerie.

"Then, I accept your compliment. I am very happy you brought me and thank you for showing me this dance. So, how many dances have you attended before this?" she asked looking up into his sparkling blue eyes.

[Corsair]

"It's not a problem. It's literally A pleasure to have you be the once with me this night. I think if another guy had gotten to you I would be very envious. But thats not something that I need to worry about." He said holding her a bit closer and slowing the pace down. They soon were simply revolving slowly on the spot. It was more of a dance to be close and to talk if they wanted without worrying about messing up dance steps.

"I know I've already said it but you look so wonderful tonight that I can't help but keep my eyes on you and nothing else right now." He said rasiing a hand to gently stroke her cheek like he had done in the woods on the day they met. How odd. Yesterday I was simply training wondering if I'd even be here. And I met a girl I genuinly lcare about already. And she agreed to be my prom date. He thought as the revolved. He didn't think things could turn out so well so fast.

[Midori]

The dance slowed as he spoke words that meant a lot to her. She didn't think he could care about her so quickly yet he was proving her wrong. He seemed to really care for her. His words and touches alone showed her that.

His hand came up and her eyes closed as he stroked her cheek like he had in the woods just yesterday. She opened her eyes after a few seconds and blushed up at him.

"I'll tell you, that should you have gotten another date, I would have been envious myself. Not just because you look amazing but because you are a kind and gentle soul. I am lucky, no.. blessed that I have found you." she said with a smile as her hand stroked his hair softly as she gazed into his eyes. The same ones she could easily get lost in.
