Dragon's Tear Ballroom

[Corsair]

"It seems a match made with fate doesn't it. I find you to be a wonderful person to be with. I don' think I'd like to be with any of the other girls here. Not after meeting you. You are something special. Well we all are. But in my eyes you outshine them all in several way." He said as the song came to and end and he led her from the center and soon the broke dance positions but Corsair kept an arm around her waist as they walked more to one of the sides of the ballroom.

Son another song came on. This one just as romantic as the last. But not structerd.
"So you were going to show me how you danced. I thnk this is a good song for it/" he said taking her hand sin his.
"So teach me how to dance like you do. I'm fascinated." He said winking at her.

[Midori]

The song ended and he led her from the dance floor. His arm around her waist protectively and she couldn't help but feel lucky. Where he felt lucky she was thankful that someone liked her. As a faerie she had not expected to be so well excepted here.

"You want me to teach you now? Allright." she said with a grin and took his hand in hers. "What you need to do is first close your eyes. Just listen to the music. Get a feel for what the notes are telling you. Each one tells it's own story within the song. Each one has it's own movemnt. Listen carefully and let your body tell you what to move. Then open your eyes and begin to move. Everyone's body will tell them something different." she said as she opened her eyes and let go of his hand.

She closed her eyes and let the music take her. And with graceful movements she let the music lead her as she did at home. Her arms and body moving much like a gypsy if she had to put a human name to it.

[Corsair]

Corsair watched her dance for a moment enraptured by the sight of Midori's dance. He hadn't seen anything like it before. he decided to do as he was told as closed his eyes. He listend in the way she had instructed and soon was moving almost as if he was part of a breeze. His arms had a sort of mix between control and basic instinct. It took a second to realize his entire body was doing the same thing.

He soon was next to Midor. he opened his eyes and nearly had to stop as he watched her. He knew that he did this well. But he doubted anything could compare to how Midori moved.

[Shea]

Shea had to smile at the sweet line that the love of her life had given her. He was sweet and usually was good at coming up with his own lines to make sure she knew just how special she was to him. Her engagement ring was only to show the rest of the world that she belonged to Darian.

She loved the feeling of dancing with him. They didn't get to do it enough and the music was indeed tasteful. She had her gaze locked in Darian's. The song ended and she smiled. She leaned in and kissed him softly and gently her hand on his cheek. She couldn't help it. He looked wonderful this evening and she felt wonderful. This dress, this event, her date. It was all coming together so well.

"Shall we have another?" she asked softly.

[Jade Wainwright]

Jade chuckled. She didn't mind that Khel stood on her shoes in the least. In fact she rather enjoyed it. It was easier to dance this way for her and he could just follow along. He asked the big question right there and she laughed her laugh ringing through the room.

"Nothing but blood loss unless I wanted it to. I have to inject you with a sort of venom but when I bite I don't normally do that. I don't want a bunch of followers or hangers on. I'm happy just living my life. Right now, if there was a guy I loved I would if he asked me. If we were sure he was right. But other than that, I really just bite to feed and even then I mostly feed from my blood bank and not from people." she admitted.

She was not afraid to talk about her vampirism here among these students. Hell there was a girl with green wings for crying out loud. She was not going to be afraid. Besides she could probably take them all out if she really tried.

"This is a lovely evening. I will teach you how to dance before the next dancing event, I promise." she chuckled. She thought about it for a minute and grinned. "Why wanna be bitten?" she asked.

[Hadrian]

Hadrian chuckled gently as he finished dressing for the prom. He wasn't exactly sure why he was going but he knew Celeste would be there. If Celeste was there, he would be there to watch over her. He had heard that she had changed lately and he was quite interested to see what this change was all about. For this one occassion he would leave his wings in.

Hadrian walked down the hallway a little agitatedly. Walking took so long, if it wasn't for the damn suit he would have sprouted his wings already and flown. There was a teleporter he was supposed to reach, the prom was to be on some large ocean liner or some such thing. He noticed Celeste standing alone, looking nervous. She must be waiting for her date, she wouldn't look that nervous if she was just going alone.

He stepped up beside her with a small smirk on his face, "Waiting for your date?" he asked, as he looked down at her the smirk became a grin, "Well your new look is certainly interesting, what may I ask inspired this change?" he asked as he stood beside her in front of the teleporter.

[Xavier]

Xavier held the kiss for a little while before breaking it with a grin. He was highly amused by how hard she was trying to deny the fact that she was having a good time. Some people might've been offended by all her complaining but Xavier knew that really the more sarcastic she acted the closer and more enjoyable of a time she was having.

"Well regardless of whether or not you like dressing like this, I'll still say you look amazing," he said with a grin as the song started to end.

"I promise if I do any drooling I'll keep it away from your dress," he said, holding up his hand in joking solemness, "So if those heels are killing you why don't we take a break from the dancing?" he asked as he started to lead her off the dance floor.

[Midori]

Midori moved around with the beat and the sounds of the music. She watched Corsair try to do the same and for a human he was rather good. He just needed to let his inhibitions go. She smiled over at him. He didn't seem to be able to take his eyes off her and silently she hoped that was a good thing and that she wasn't making a fool of herself.

"You are doing very well." she said with a bright smile. She moved over to him not missing a beat and took his hand in hers. She moved so that her body was right in front of his and his arms could easily go around her. She began to dance in his arms her own arms running from his shoulders down his chest.

[Darian Dumonte]

They were both good at this and they just seemed to be made for each other when it came to moving on the dance floor. Shea with her trained dancing form and years of practice matched with Darian's natural dexterity and his years of attending social gatherings where he had to dance. Both of them danced well togeather and Darian was glad that it was yet another thing that he was able to share and savor with Shea. Then he felt Shea's lips on his in a soft and gentle kiss that just expressed how she felt with each time her lips met his. He almost gave a smile at all of that. He returned the kiss soundly feeling her hand cup his cheek he held her gaze with his own loving one.

"Yes..." he felt the kiss broken but, he wanted more as he looked into her beautiful emerald eyes. "Another dance ma amour..." he said softly to her as he looked into her eyes and twirled her into position. He led the dance was more the music more quicker paced and he shifted so her head could rest on his if she wanted. He moved with her in graceful and elegant movements but, Darian didn't care about the world aroudn them just the woman that he had in his arms.

"Who would have thought that we'd come to this point when we first met with Bella being surly about guys," he said with a throaty chuckle.

[Lexandra]

The song finally ended and Xav stepped away slightly. She almost got down on her hands and knees thanking God that he was going to let her skip out on the next dance. She had never worn more uncomfortable shoes in all her life. Tennis shoes were her sort, not these torture contraptions.

His arm went around her waist and outwardly she showed nothing but inwardly she smiled. Xav was indeed becoming bold with her and truth was it was working. Because she didn't like guys that were afraid of her as so many were. And she didn't like the ones that seemed to quiver because of her tongue. Xav had at first until he got used to her and realized that this was Lexi. Crude and abrasive but deep down the girl Lexandra still remained.

"Allright, where should we head to oh tour guide?" she asked reminescent of the first day they had met.

[Celeste]

A familiar voice sounded nearby and she smiled. It wasn't who she was waiting for but it was definatly a surprise. She looked up to see non other than Hadrian. She had indeed never expected him to go to any function where humans were involved but a prom was even worse.

"Things have changed." she said with a shrug as she looked him over and gave him a wink. He looked positively stunning.

"You do realize, of course, that every female human will be all over you in that suit right?" she said with a smirk. "I can't believe you are lowering your standards to be here. I'm glad but shocked I'll admit."

She reached up and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek before she went back to standing as normal. She was still nervous. She didn't know exactly what Hadrian would think of all of this but she didn't really care. It wasn't for him. It was for HIM. Her date, Angra.

[Hadrian]

Hadrian chuckled gently as she talked about the girls being all over him. How the idea repulsed him but he also found it rather amusing that humans could be swayed by physical appearance so easily. They were very easy creatures to manipulate, it only took a threat or a promise for most of them. Some however were a little more difficult to crack.

"Well I'm glad you approve of my physical appearance," he said with a smirk. She too looked amazing but he would keep those thoughts to himself. She had someone special in her life and while he could only assume it to be a human he would not endanger her happiness.

"Just so you know the only reason I am here is to look after you," he said with a grin and a nod, "You look pretty nervous...I take it whoever you're meeting here is important to you and probably the reason for your sudden change in appearance and apparently attitude," he said with a small smirk. This was certainly not the Celeste he had first met. She was much more confident now, much more bold. Hadrian had to admit he liked the new, bolder Celeste.

[Angra Mainyu.]

~ I am late...~

His face wasn't the most enthusiastic among faces. Rather, it was down loped at the sides of his mouth. He had a harsh look in his eyes. Some stupid prankster had used magic to seal his door so he couldn’t get out of there. It had taken him some time to track down the kid and make sure he would never do it again. He was in some of his more formal clothing, a regular tuxedo with the white dress shirt underneath, just lost the black tie. He sighed inaudible before taking a deep breath and turned the corner. Watching two people talk near the portal, teleporter, thingy, something. At first they both were strangers in his mind. First when he came closer did he notice the unique face of Celeste at the pink haired of them. She leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Raising an eyebrow, Angra stared for a second before brushing it away. Now he really had to act better than ever before. His frown turned into a smirk and he closed the remaining distance between them and stood as the third wheel.

“Jesus wept... You look… Stunning in that dress, and with that hair, My Angel you are wonderful.” He stood a second regaining his stature. “You never cease to amaze and please my mere human sight…” Such lovely words he used. He snuck a hand down and grabbed her left hand with his right. Stroking the other side of it with his thumb. He looked away from her a second and at the other male there, the one she just had kissed, already in the back of his mind and lost until he needed it.

“Oh, sorry for my manners, I am Angra, and I see you already met my date, Celeste. And who might you be, sir?” Offering his left hand, it was awkward since he wasn’t a left handed, but the right was occupied with Celeste’s hand.

[Kheldar]

Well lovely that's refreshing so I don't automatically become a vampire in case she decides that I'm a rather tasty looking meal...

Kheldar met Jade's gaze and heard her laugh that just seemed to echo through the room since it wasn't full of people yet. He heard her talking about the vampirism so casually like it was an oevery day thing in thise world rather then something that was supposed to be rare. Kheldar twitched slightly at some of her explinations on the whole thing but, he was right now more or less enjoying the dance with her the way she made them move gracefully and did it so casually. He gave a small smile over it all but, had to admit that he was enjoying the dance since Jade was guiding him. He heard her question and blinked a sweatdrop forming on the back of his head.

"Well...I have to admit I'm curious about the whole thing..." Khel admitted suddenly nervous as he rubbed the back of his head. Damn it to hell why was she the one that always threw him off gaurd on the whole thing.

"After all I wouldn't be a good date if I wasn't trying to learn about you," Khel said with a grin.

[Darts]

“Damn this is a pretty nice place.”

“Yeah I suppose. But you just act normal and don’t be a jerk.”

“Yeah whatever.”

“Heh”

Darts walked into the ballroom in a dress shirt and black dress pants. He had fancy shoes on but he refused to wear a tie and sport jacket. It just wasn’t him. He looked around and sighed. He wasn’t really comfortable being here. It wasn’t the fact that he didn’t like a party or “prom” as it was but it was the fact that he might run into Lex. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to or not.

“What the hell are you thinking so hard about?”

“None of your business.”

“Ooh it that fine looking Lexandra girl right. The one that you told me about. The one at the pet store right?”

“Shut it.”

“You shut it.”

Darts got pissed off at the bird again and starting flying his fists at it until the bird finally got tired off evading and trying to fight back. It looked at Darts and with his stern eyes all he could say was “I am going for a fly around to check this place out.”

“Try not to bother anyone.”

As Dusk flew off, Darts walked around to see if he could find anyone he knew. He had met a couple people but the one he really remembered was Lex. Why the heck did he remember her? There was no point. She was just some girl that he had met and... That night...That didn’t matter now. He stopped for a moment surprised at what he saw. Lex was there. He almost decided to walk up to her just to maybe say hi but he saw that she was with some guy and he just didn’t feel it was right to go say hi. He stood there trying to make a decision.
