Arcane Academy: Fall of Man.

I'm going to mke a video game out of Arcane Academy. More accurately, I'm going to expand a Chrono Trigger ROM with a patch, and turn IT into Arcane Academy: Fall of Man.

While I can't do this until I get my own computer, since the files I need are windows files, not macintosh, I'm going to write it now, and actually make it within a few months time.

However.....I need one thing:

Characters. Staff AND Students.

Here is the cast so far:

Yeah. My character is one of the main characters, but only because I know how he would react to almost any situation, and I don't have to consult anyone for his actions. Characer I would LIKE to use as main playables are some of the best I've seen on the board:

Minji

Torm

Relo'Quath

Cephros


And any others who are willing. I plan to expand the ROM quite a bit, so I can take up to twenty playables. I will consult you for EVERY action the character takes in-game, if I must, and I will base the character's stat-growth on their on-board stats.


This is NOT a "What would it be like". I'm going to make this.


Plot:

One day, the world went to hell. THe dead rose from thier graves, demons surged onto earth, and who was blamed?

Magical beings. Humans foolishly belived God was angered with them, when in reality, it was an infernal war that raged into seventeen different planes of existance. The human went to war with both Demons and Mages, and the Arcane Academy itself split into two factions.

Pro-human, and Pro-Demon.

The Pro-Demon crowd wanted the demons to eradicate the non-magical beings, and then would eradicate the demons,. THe earth would be thiers, and mankind would fall.

The Pro-Human crowd wanted to make an alliance with the humans,to reach an understanding, to fight alongside them and save earth. They wanted to live hand-in-hand with the humans.

The students were forced to take sides, fighting against one another in a desperate struggle to survive. Friends fought friends, colleuges fought eachother, until one month after the war began.

A group called Can Ka' No Rey appeared. They swiftly ended the war, nearly destroying the humans, and half of the elemental planes were wiped out in one fell swoop. They quickly gained dominion over the earth, and all remaining planes. Humans and magical beings alike were moved into Prison Camps, and slowly tortured to death.

One-tenth of the earth's population survived, and went into hiding.

The Academy swiftly unified, putting the quarrel aside. They unified a small group of students, ones willing to fight, ones willing to take back this earth. To fight for thier homes, and even die if neccesary!

The alliance of students was to train together for one week before they fought this organization of men, elves, demons, and every race known to the magical world....and some that weren't. Who ARE these people they race into battle against?

Once they find out...the whole world might flip upside down for them.

Anyay, add Onira to the list of playable characters. Two more, and I'll be able to write the plot.

There are programs that let you make games ya know? I use RPG Maker. The whole rom thingie sounds complicated.

But yeah, use my character if ya want ^_^

DUDE!!!!!...ive been thinking about a game too but a fighting game with a few of the characters most used spells..

I'm using a creation kit to alter a ROM of an existing game until the existing game no longer exists XDD


Anyway, expect the plot later today, and an update to the list of characters.

Old SNES game. No voices, sorry. Im hacking a ROM, not an ISO.

They had no voices XD. It was a Snes game, me tinkers it wasnt released in Europe. Didnt stop me from playing though

makes me wonder just how much memory its gonna have that itl have like...5 playable characters, each with probably a slightly different story line if not entirely different and with all the spells...shit.

I'm expanding it far beyond SNES capability using a Chrono Trigger Creation Kit, from the Chrono Compendium.

so what exactly will it look like...when i hear NES im thinking dragon warrior or final fantasy graphics. will it be close on that or something a little more detailed?
