Eldran was sweating furiously as he ran his his way over to Ziare and Jyo. But he didn't make it unscathed. The normally cheerful and happy bookworm was sweating and also there went a Fire Wolf got into the way.
He saw the flames and knew he had no chance. Even if his staff was enhanced, he'd have to close-distance and he'd get burned. Sighing at this and gritting his teeth, he closed the distance. He didn't have a choice.
"You reject of an elemental, out-of-my-way!"
He thrust the chain-staff at the elemental and let it extent, cracking it between the eyes. Following up with that, he thrusting again, cracking its ribcage.
He was breathing heavily, but then an Ice Wolf sent him barreling through the air near Ziare and he landed, fear took over as a pack saw this and thought of him as food because he was off his feet
Space seem to just ...bend... the wolves away from him as everything except the students and mages just froze. The flames on the Fire Wolves back seemed to be in suspended animation. Time seemed to stand still as something in Eldran's mind broke and he clutched at his head in abject pain.
This was after single a wave of ...space itself... rippling, was the best way to describe it, seen by the students and mages there as this effect took place.

Noticing the ice wall, he just snorted and used Zaro's back to launch up and over it, landing on the otherside, that wolf growling from such and using his sheer strength to climb up the wall with his claws, following right after his "owner" so to speak. Yet, Scith was already over the other side, and noticed a majority of the wolves even near the camp had been frozen in place... upon approaching them he just poked them on the head and pulled back, raising his brow.
"What the hell?"
He said to himself tilting head at the fact they had been stuck in place by something he obviously just wasnt seeing. That and the fact it seemed he would have to wait now for this to wear off before he got to get back into the combat. Now that just wasnt anyfun for him! Of course.. that lumbering wolven form had jumped over the wall and landed down, letting out a large roar and then realizing himself that they had all stopped. This got him to sniff at one of them and pull back.

As Yukiko and Joseph crossed the water-produced bridge, the white-haired girl glanced down at the wolves as she noticed a few of them trying to reach them by leaping up, but unfortunately for them, each time they jump up and touched the water, water molecules would find their way inside their noses, making it hard for them to breathe.
She turned her attention back to Joseph as she gave a slight nod regarding what he suggested her to do after they crossed the bridge. And she will do just that. Once they crossed the liquid bridge, Yukiko quickly loosened her concentration, and eventually allowed the whole bridge of water to collapse onto the wolves with full force, trying to cause damage even if they don't drown. A few wolves collapsed onto the ground, mainly the fire ones, having a weakness of water.
Suddenly, everything stopped. Some wolves that were collapsing stopped dead in their tracks and motion. Surpised, Yukiko stared at the frozen creatures curiously, even if her eyes never revealed anything of the sort.
What happened? she thought to herself, wondering whose work this belonged to. It wasn't a bad thing, not at all, in their case. The sixteen-year-old glanced over at Joseph for a brief second before turning away to try to identify the individual who caused this to happen.
A powerful magic ...

Joseph saw the freezing of the beasts. Could it have been Ziare's summon, or the ice wolves reacting to the water instinctively by freezing it or...someone could be a bit more powerful than his new ice witch friend. When he saw Yukiko look at him he shook his head. "No idea, but whoever did it they're good. Come on, let's join the others, there still plenty of those things running about." he said giving her hand a squeeze before they finished the distance between them and Talbot.
"Yukiko, Talbot, Talbot, Yukiko. The two of you have enough elemental skill to do some real damage so stick together if you please. I'm gonna go get that guy then maybe we can finally get back to camp to support Ziare." he said to them before finally releasing the girls hand and running off towards the student he had yet to meet.
A wolf had been making it's way around the man's side but just as it leapt, the beast fell backwards with a large bullet hole in its chest. Joseph slid up beside Wolf gripping his chest with his free hand, "Think you could use some help friend. Think we all can."

Hearing a loud growl, he noticed that all of them werent exactly frozen.. a back of six wolves were now advancing on Scith and Zaro, and of course he turned around waving his hands, while zaro just growled loudly.
"Nice wolfies.. nice wolfies.. its ok! be good... WAA!"
As they began to charge he just turned and ran back a little bit before skidding to a hault and grabbing that blade hilt tightly and turning with his smirk.
"Sike! Dumb animals! EAT THIS!"
He roared loudly and so did Zaro, a single swipe by his large wolf companion had sent three of them upwards into the air and his claws finished them off. From which Scith did change in and brought his blade right across the face of all three of his attackers, sending them headless off into the side.
"Ha!"

ooc: Any damage effects are going to happen but be delayed for a moment until after the effect ends. Time has been stopped except for you guys and the wizards helping us. Take advantage to rest up and regroup. He won't be able to do this again for a while.
Eldran kneeled on the ground in agony, his head pounding in a severe headache. The sky above him began to twist and contort in strange ways, before another strange ...pulse... seemed to echo out from him. It was as if the space itself that made up the sky was being manipulated.
At the same time, the space around his body rippled and pulsed as well.

Jyo eyes narrowed. this wasn't working. The others were doing well but not much was actually being done full-scale. "Ember I know you might not like attacking a similar race but we have to do something." He said Ember nodded and leapt at the other creatures coming in. Jyo checked on Ziare and saw she would be safe with the others here. Jyo needed to be doing his job and going out there.
He forced his magic through is muscles increasing his speed as he went headlongout into the battlefield. Loightning crackeld around his sword and his right hand went out as his fingers curled slightly sending dozens of lighting bolts into the ranks of his foes. Jyo had gained much power from when he started at the school. Now he had to show he knew what he was doing.
Once in melee range Jyo's weapon came to bear. His sword ripping through enemy ranks as Ember watched his back. Ember had to rely on melee combat as he was fire-based as were his foes.

The number of wolves seem to have went down with the valiant aid of those powerful apprentences....Why, the invasion force dying a bit as the wolves in the courtyard retreated to one end as the students continued their attack upon them. The number of wolves going over the wall was ziltch....as most of the wall defenders turned to fire back upon the wolves in the court yard. Victory seemed to be within grasp....Most of the wolves were dead and the number of students injured or were killed was very little, and were being treated right now. Yes, it seemed the vanguard was defended against.....however......
A rumbling came onto the door, and with it the gate in the walls broke, revealing a rather large looking force of Beastmen. Flying high above the skies, winged beast man came in and assaulted the base, the wolves fleeing from the scene as their main force arrived. The beastmen were all sorts of creatures.....Centuars, Minotaurs, Orcs, etc, there were simply too many to count. However, they all had weapons....knives, axes, swords, guns, it didn't matter. They all needed on thing....the need to kill humans....

Joseph's eyes widend slightly as he saw the walls break inward. Just wonderfull, now the big fellas decided to show up. To make things worse, there was a group of Minotuars heading straight for them. The gunmage planted a bullet in the top of one's head...and it didn't go down. A second bullet took the bull's eye out, yet still it came. Finally after a third bullet smashed between the beast's eyes the monster tumbled limply.
Joseph chuckled nervously and put a hand on Wolf's shoulder. "Ok buddy, we really need to fall back now. Even if we don't make it to Ziare and her summons we should at least join up with Talbot and Yukiko. Their elemental powers can suppliment ours greatly." he explained in a hurried voice before exploding a Minotuars wolf with a bullet. Two more, one for each eye, killed the beast.

Jyo and Ember retreated. Jyo was casting his Fire Orb spell and destroying large amounts of their enemy with it as the explosion radius of each spell was about 42 feet. But it still wasn't enough. Ember was casting fireballs as they went back to regroup with the others.
He noticed he and the other students of the Academy were now cut off from the commanding group. "Everyone fall back and regroup. We need to do this quickly!" he called out. Jyo wasn't used to taking charge but as they were cut off someone had to. they stood a much better chance together as a group.

Quickly from the heavens a group of a dozen or so Flying beast men came down upon Jyo's group, their melee weapons pointed at them, which were spears by the way, as they descended like bullets, smashing to the ground in waves before they stopped, the smoke from the smashes covering sight as the outcome of this drastic actions remained unseen.....

Crap. Jyo thought and he put up his shield spell to cover them all. Once the dust and smoke cleared it would show the rest of them were fine. But Jyo fell to his knees breathing hard. He had just expended a great ammount of energy to protect them from the attack. He couldn't even stand now.
"Sorry guys. I won't be much more use until I recover." He said in a strained voice. He hoped he would find the strength to get back up later. But for now he had done all he could. It had been a large shield he had made to cover the others.

I got you covered. (After slashing another wolf down in half, he planted his sword down into he ground and drew five cards with his right hand. He was able to get 7 of Club, 7 of Spade, 4 of Club, 10 of Diamond, and Jack of Club. Wolf with his left hand picked the two 7 and threw them in the air. At the sametime placed the other cards away.) Two of a Kind! 7 of Club and 7 of Spade! (Both of Wolf's hands grew and he thrusted hands forword, making him shot a enegry like blast to a group of wolves. After the two cards was used, they flew back into the deck holder and Wolf grabbed his Viper Slasher with his right hand and slash a wolf. An so Wolf slowly walked back to the main group.)

As the two students made their way back to the two girls, Joseph had to keep his attention on the minotuars since the unknown student kept himself preoccupied with the remaining wolves. By the time they were back with the two element users the gunmage had dropped most of the group who originally came after them. Unfortunately now a couple Orcs and a Centuar gunsmen had joined them. Joseph quickly put a bullet into that one's hand.
"Yukiko, do you think you can make it a bit harder for them run? Me and...whatever your name is, can pick them off when they lose their footing? Sound good? When Talbot recovers from her daze maybe we can do something a little more destructive." he suggested to the gorup, already placing more rounds into the charging centuar. The monster had been enfuriated at the loss of its gun hand, and was the fastest runner. Joseph felt sharp waves of pain in his ankles when he blew the creature's hooves out from under it.
