Ziare dismissed Celeste and quickly summoned Sheeta her dark summon. She was the identical of Ziare only dark black hair black clothing black wings. She saw as Eldran began to fall and she didn't want him hurt or in danger. She sent Sheeta to pick up Eldran and she would bring him to the camp where the healers were.
She returned her attention to the battle. Armenius was enraged as he pointed his fire breath towards the sky shooting off bursts in long sweeping motions lighting up the sky. Hitting the beasts full on.

Jyo looked up and saw the beasts attepmting the same dive bomb type attacck they had used earlier. I've had more than enough. He thought and he threw his sword letting it spiral to his foes and he used his wind based levitation speel to control the weapon. The sword would hopefully cut down what it hit or stop the creatures from the attack.
He also pointed at the flyers in turn using his FIre Stream attack to bring them down. Ember was beind Jyo covering him from enemy attacks n the ground as Jyo was making this improvised air support. After the thrown sword had run it'scourse Jyo used the same levitat sapell to bring i back and repeated the procesess. He would do this until the flyers were dead or he himself was struck down.

Snapping out of her long trace, Talbot looked about- unsure of where she was at first but certainly noticing there were enemies to be fought. Moving to a hihg hidden perch where she could see clearly, Talbot pulled a peach colored candy from her bag and placed it between her cheek and teeth. This was one that must be filtered- too much at once can render one unconcious or worse in a deep trance without any control over the powers controlled. Raising her scythe she cast Pressure. The force of the gravity pressing down on the enemies would be enough, by any standard to keep them and anyother enemy in a constant state of slow motion and strain. Her focuse remained on the enemies- which meant her allies would be unaffected by the spell she cast as long as she remained capable of focusing.

"Come on Zaro, Pincer formation!"
Of course, even though himself and the students were out-numbered by a factor of 3 to 1, he didnt care. 36 Minotaurs and Centaurs were nothing to be worried about.. no. Instead he just pushed harder forwards, that blade being whipped back and brought down against the leg of one of the minotaurs, and then his foot supplying the secondary force, snapping it in half and watching as the beast fell to the ground tumbling over. Another had come quick from behind and tried to bring its hammer downwards, but Zaro interferred and brought claws up, slashing it in half forcing it to fall atop the animals head, watching as it fell over as well.
The students were all working as one... thats when he got an idea. He told them to pull back slightly and then moved up close. Zaro followed behind them, and began to change into a weird shape.. its body was beginning to turn to what appeared to be some sort of mist, and engulfed his blade, charging it up. Now Zaro's body and soul were within his weapon, supplying it with power that had been tenfold of its previous predicament. Turning head to the Mages of the students, which only numbered in 6, out of the 12 that were there, he still found it fun to think of what they could do.
"All of you, focus all of your magic into one spot, be sure to use similar but different elemental spells all at once.. and once you charge it up enough, hurl it at the remaining beasts.. me and the warriors will hold them off until then!"
With his call he turned and charged right back into battle, his glowing blue blade now showing its true strength, being enfused with the soul of another, even if temporary, it had gained amazing strength. It took not but a single slash downwards with his blade, thanks to his own strength, as well as Zaro's being supplied to the blow, and it had taken out a minotaur and slightly slashed through a centuar as well.

Indeed, a good amount of beast men felt the power and pain of the pressure being exerted on them. However, the flying beast men sensed the girl and felt her magical presence, and rushed off to her...about three of them....with their spears pointed at her.
Beyond that, medical mages went over to pick up Eldran and rushed him back to the medical site, trying to heal him as the battle raged on.....
Wolf easily cut through the hordes of beast men....chopping them up to pieces as more came...onyl to get reduced the pieces. Behind him there was Neiro and Midnight fought against the beasts attacking them. Quickly though, more students appeared behind them, firing their guns at the advancing beast men while sword wielding swordsman rushed along side wolf, aiding him out....
Furthermore, the mages near Scith did just that.....concetrating until they released their spells....hurling it at all enemies and significantly reducing numbers of the Beast men while Scith and the warriors fought....some dying on each side....
Meanwhile, Jyo was further aided by sharp shooters hanging around, shooting down the flying beast men with hawk-eye accuracy. Indeed, the battle was turning and the base seemed to be safe...
For behind the beast men army, a good deal of students there were, killing and slaughtering the army as they seemed to catch them from the back. Standing and leading the force was Azrael Thantos....leading the force as his body produced fine weapons, chopping and cutting the beast men like paper...... Indeed, with the surprise back attack lead by Azrael and the reserve students which had only arrived moments ago, they were winning.....
However, the walls cracked as giant, huge, ogre like creatures rammed in, clubs swinging wildly as they roared with dark intensity, swarming around them were beast men once more, but this time they were being intercepted by the Students......The Ogres, though, were cutting bloody path across the courtyard to the most problem-matic people.....Wolf's Group, Jyo's Group, Scith's Group, and to the Medical site. There were about four in all...being used to battle against those high threats......
Staring above it all, a certain commander noticed at how thinning the army of beast men was. Soon, they would be able to relax for now.....but the war was still not yet over.... For there remained the Offensive force and it's results. Still though, he was amazed at the power the lower ranked students displayed, and thought of how bright their future is.....
"Perhaps there is still hope in this world" Maedallus said, a smile on his face....

Joseph's eyes widened as he saw the ogres burst onto the scene. "Oh dear lord." he muttered before popping off a shot at the one heading in their direction, plowing right threw its own allies with its club. His round practically bounced off the beast's skull. Either he'd need to channel a lot of energy into his each bullet or..."Yukiko, it might take a lot out of you but...can you freeze that thing or at least the head so a shot from me will shatter it?" he asked really not sure if that was possible for ice witches. He'd scene something like it in a movie, but it's more than possible that such a thing wouldn't work.

Yukiko's eyes narrowed as she watched even more enemies barged through the gate, and this time, they're much larger. Not good. Not good at all. Four ogres, one heading towards each main group of students fighting as best as they can to defend the camp. The thing was enormous! Yukiko looked up as it came forward towards them, and she she couldn't help but realize how endless this battle is.
Hearing Joseph's voice, she turned to look at him before giving a slight nod. A basic ice spell, not hard, but for an ogre such as this, and with a low energy level at the moment due to her previous attacks, she was afraid if the ice will hold before the ogre itself shatters it. Frowning menatlly, she knew she had to try. Focusing on her powers, she closed her eyes for a brief moment while bring her arms slightly upwards, pointed straight at the gigantic creature before them.
Then, her eyes quickly opening, revealing a fierce light blue, almost silverish white, ice started forming around the body and ascending upwards quickly, freezing the creature solid. She just hoped the ice were thick and strong enough. Soon, the ice surrounded the beast's upper body and head. Yukiko continued channeling energy into this spell, and kept it up. She kept her eyes on the beast as she spoek out to Joseph. "Quickly now!" she said, her voice louder than her tone of voice from before.
If he shoots a few shots at him now, it'll definitely cause some damage. She had to admit that it was a brilliant idea. Not only will it do damage, but the ice bits can easily pierce into the creature, if the ice pits are sharp enough. Either that, or she can try to quickly turn those ice into water and make them enter its nose. A painful experience if it breathes in, no?

Pesmerga had been wandering in the desert for years after he was in "Desert Storm". He wanted to take a break from battle for a few years so he ran around the desert as a lizard. The years came and went but compared to his entire life it was nothing. Over the last year though the desert seemed to change. He could feel a magical presence, not a good one though.
It was hot as could be on this day and he was chasing some food when he came over the apex of a giant sand dune. In the distance was a maelstrom of destruction. He quickly shifted back to his human form except for his eyes which he changed to be those of a hawk. He could now see well into the distance and was able to see all that was going on. Beasts of a evil nature were assaulting a base which was putting up severe resistance. In the rear of their attack a group of defenders appeared to crush them from behind. There were giant Ogres running rampant as well as some people in need of assistance. Pesmerga being one to stay out of these conflicts felt compelled to help out.
Out of his pocket he pulled a small cube. He stared at it and it grew in size to that of a trunk. As he opened it inside were smaller cubes. Each cube had a name: Armory, Hanger, Siege, Tools, and a few more. He pulled out the Armory and Siege cubes and expanded those. Inside the Armory cube were miniature weapons, no bigger than an action figures weapons. He pulled out from there a Stinger Missile launcher, and a Barrett M107 .50 sniper rifle. He then condensed the armory cube and expanded the siege one. Inside were toy sized siege equipment. Now a catapult wouldn't work since it was too far away but a Howitzer would. He acquired a few of these things in "Desert Storm" and added them to his collection. Highly deadly at the longest of ranges they were a good wake up call for an enemy. He set the two artillery platforms on the top of the dune then put up all his cubes and placed the one remaining back into his pocket.
Laying on the top of the dune now were small guns and artillery. He looked at them and concentrated until they grew to the normal size they were built in. He had enough ammo to hold out for a bit but now his focus changed to the other people in the battle. They had been fighting hard the whole time but not without a price. He noticed a woman casting magic that had an Ogre freeze solid in it's place. He began to concentrate on her and casted a shift spell, Heart of the Unicorn. The unicorn was a magical beast in the past and it's heart would surly help the caster as she would feel the magic pump through her. He saw three groups led by men that the Ogres were heading toward.
"Well guess they could use my help,"
Pesmerga said to himself as he concentrated on the men.
"I grant you all the strength of an ape, I wish I could do more."
The muscle tissue in the bodies of those men would condense and multiply almost instantly until they had the strength of the strongest of the apes. Unlike with himself, he was only able to shift one thing about other people at a time, anymore then that and their minds could reject the shift and possibly cause major trauma to there brain and in a few cases, death.
"Time to be more hands on."
He picked up his stinger missile launcher and placed it on his shoulder and took aim at a flying beast heading for a woman perched high up who seemed to be casting a spell that was crushing some of the enemies. He had a target lock on one of the beasts and let the missile rip out of the launcher heading for its target. The weapon would need to be reloaded but he had no time for that. He dropped that weapon and picked up his sniper rifle. He had the 10 round clip loaded with armor piercing rounds that, once inside the target, exploded into shrapnel. He took aim at the Ogre a woman had frozen and aimed for center-mass. With his hawk vision it was easy to zero in on his target and his aim was as true as could be. He let two rounds fly in succession before turning to different targets and emptying his clip not having time to watch the bullets strike.

Jyo noticed a surge of strength well through him. But niether he nor Ziare or Ember could have cast it. but Jyo wasn't going to question it for now. Though he WOULD be finding out who did this and gave him such an advantage. he focused his magic into his muscles activating his Hypertime spell and quickend his speed as well. now Jyo was moving faster and ripping through his foes with less effort.
His Fire Orb and Fire Wave spells making short work of the non fire-based creatures as he and Ember decided to keep the incoming creatures at bay. Jyo and Ember would be part of the front line defense of the non combat oriented students.

Joseph held his weapon in both hands. Even with the ogre frozen he'd still need a larger amount of channeled energy to burst intot he creature's skull. At least that's the impression he recieved from Yukiko's straining. She had called for him to fire, and the gunmage had raised his weapon. Yet there wasn't a sufficient amount of energy yet. "Hold it just a little longer...just a little." finally he pulled the trigger and a round engulfed in energy shot from the revolver's barrel. The bullet flew over the heads of the charging beastmen trailing a flowing tail.
When the round hit the frozen ogre in the head their was a minor explosion of white light, but when it cleared the giant beast was missing it's head. Slowly but surely its giant form began to tip until finally it came crashing to the sand right on top of its comrades; shattering into thousands of forzen shards. Thankfully to Joseph the pain had been extremely minor since the beast had been numbed by the intense cold.
The gunmage gave the girl's shoulder a squeeze. "You're amazing you know that. I need to partner with you more often." he said with a toothy smile in the small lull that followed.

Eldran had been lucky one of the medical staff had the foresight to pick up his staff after he had passed out on the ground. He was also lucky that they had dragged him to relative safety for now. He had been passed out for a good long while. His chest had been heaving and he had been thrashing wildly in convulsions from the amount of magical energy he had been channeling.
One of the healing students looked at another while they were channeling both healing magic and mana from "batteries" into him to soothe him. "He should be dead."
Another student from the same staff nodded at him and shook his head. "I know, but that magic, it's something I've never heard or read about. We're all seniors and I've never seen something like that. He didn't even use words or seals, or anything. It was like he just wanted it to happen and it did. The gesture was more incidental."
They shook their heads and continued their work. Eldran's eyes eventually fluttered open as his wounds healed and some of his mana was restored, though it took a bit.
"Where am I?"
The medical staff responded. "You're safe now."
He exploded and struggled against them. "No! Let me go!"
They put some restraining hands on him. "You're wounded, you need some rest."
Something forced them back as his anger grew and he got up, obviously willing himself to move, running on adrenaline. "Let ....me.... go!"
He struggled to his feet and crawled to his staff which he then used as a crutch to drag himself outside. As his body got used to the new energy and healing, he needed to rely less on the adrenaline, though he was still exhausted somewhat.
He looked around as he still leaned on the staff a little bit as he looked around at the situation.
He searched his mind for a solution. He saw enemies again and his powers erupted again once more.
Everything once again somehow ...rippled... but this time it was different. Eldran struggled against something he couldn't see, and was focused only on maintaining the struggle as sweat came glistening off of his face.

Jyo noticed his foes slow down. it was as though he was moving extremely fast while things hung in the air as this new spel added to his own hypertime spell. Things were nothing but still targets almost. he was able to spar to time seeing the other students were moving like they should be when he was using his own spell. Meaning this magic was effecting their foes alone.
He noticed Eldran was the one making this happen. He wasn't going to waste this time giving too him. Jyo moved through his foes as his blade made short work of most of the ground forces he went after. "Ember. Go keep and eye on Ziare and the others. I should be fine now that things are calmed down at least for now." he said.
The fire-wolf nodded and then headed back to keep Ziare and the others safe from the enemy forces coming in. He gave a warning so he would not be attack as others like himself were out there. "I am the summon of Jyo. Do not attack I am to guard Ziare and company." Said his voice in the minds of those that may attack.

"Bah! WEAKLINGS! DIE!"
He stood looking up at what appeared to be an ogre, standing well over ten feet in height, and at the same time he just had that big grin on his face, that blade sitting in his hand his only means of defense, as Zaro had gone into his blade. Somehow, something was wrong, Zaro would have made his power tenfold. Yet, he felt even stronger then that. As if he could tear through anything that got in his way. The sheer surge of power was enough to cause euphoria. Thats when that ogre brought its massive club upwards and held it in place before allowing it to drop downwards. Thats when Sciths hand came upwards and held that blade with a single hand, stopping that club and then pushing it off to the side without an effort. He yelled loudly and forced his foot inwards kicking the creature in the stomach and watching as it bent over slightly, before his foot released and shot downwards, slamming into the ground and sending him soaring upwards above its head.
"EAT THIS!"
That yell was loud and shrill as he came downwards, blade hitting against its flesh right at the back of the neck and cutting it clean through watching as its head fell to the ground, and the rest of its body soon followed, hitting hard against the earth, a array of green blood and red was now covering his chest and part of the mask that kept his face clean of it, as well as hidden from view. He could hear the call of Zaro from within his sword, calling loudly out into the open air and telling him that it was time to decimate these creatures.

Pesmerga's rounds had found the heads of a few targets bringing them down quickly. He turned to the two howitzers and aimed them with precision to the center of the massive onslaught of enemies and pulled the firing cords. The earth shuddered and the booming echo could be heard for quite a distance as the rounds flew into the sky. Pesmerga quickly packed up his gear and pulled from his cubes three different weapons. Two of them were his dual 1911 colts. They had been modified slightly so they would pack more of a punch. To handle crowd control he got his M249 SAW with 600 round box attached. He was now a force to be reckoned with.
He concentrated for a moment and in a puff of black smoke wings like that of an eagle appeared from his back. He extended them outward and flexed them before he jumped and took to the sky. The beasts that were attacking were being slowly beaten and were in the middle of a pincer attack but they still fought hard. Pesmerga knew he had to divert their attention away from the base and give a distraction for those who were behind so he headed for the center of the advancing troops.
As he came swooping down he let bullets rip from his SAW tearing into enemies left and right. he made a few passes before finally taking to the ground. As soon as he landed, in a poof of black smoke, his wings were gone. The enemies in the immediate vicinity halted the advance and turned their attention to him. They all started to advance when a loud sharp shriek could be heard. It seemed to fill the ears of all around as it got louder and louder. The beasts were looking all over trying to figure out what it was and Pesmerga simply smiled.
Two explosions rang out and smoke as well as fire filled the scene around Pesmerga. As soon as it settled just a bit more bullets came flying out from his position. He was spraying bullets wildly to capture the attention of all those around giving the defenders a chance to strike.

A few hours ago…
It was hell… The Academy had to wake Darah up in the middle of the night just to give her bad news. Darah already had pale green skin with patches of scales all over. With the additional eye bags thanks to being woken up from her sleep, she could practically be a zombie. One of the Academy’s teachers rapped on her dorm room’s door until she groggily got up and hesitantly opened the door. Standing before her, the teacher said that apparently there has been detection of a large amount of chaos magic at the sahara desert. They believed this to be linked with monsters and that the chaos energy was moving towards the Academy’s base set in the sahara desert. What the hell? The Academy was so pathetically weak now that they needed one as young as her to go to their sahara base and protect it from monsters and the like? Didn’t they have an army or arch magi to exterminate little insects such as monsters? Why send young children into the front?!
An hour later…
Darah changed into a pink sleeveless t-shirt to protect her shoulders from the getting sunburned by the hot desert sun but at the same time, let her body be cool enough in the hot temperature of the desert. She also wore a pair of pink long running pants to cover her legs from getting sandy. Her pink clothes really produced quite a contrast when compared to her dark green hair and pale green skin. Her feet however were kept barefoot. Thanks to the curse inherited by those of the Beracun clan, they had thick padding on their feet which can withstand insane weather conditions. Downside, their feet looked more like bird talons instead of human feet. Having done the preparations for what was most likely going to turn out as a battle between the Academy’s students and a bunch of foul monsters, Darah picked up her son Gekko and held him gently against her chest as to not wake up her beloved child. She and Gekko along with a bunch of other students from the Academy was then transported to the Academy’s sahara base to await the monstrous horde. By the time they had reached the base, Darah could hardly keep her eyes open. How could she stand up to an entire army of magicthirsty monsters if she could not even stand up straight? Upon arrival at the base, Darah immediately found a nice spot of ground by the campsite and curled into a ball with her beloved Gekko in her arms. She didn’t want to share a tent with anyone else and besides, she much more preferred the fresh air… even though the night desert air was unbelievably freezing and there was a bunch of sand particles in the air. Beats sleeping with someone whom I don’t know, that’s what Darah thought as she slowly drifted back to sleep…
Darah had a terrible dream that night… She dreamt that she the campsite was being attacked. The place where she was sleeping in was being assaulted by the monsters who have finally arrived. The first wave arrived in the form of wolves. No, not the normal bunch of wolves. Normal wolves can’t jump over the camp’s few metre tall walls. These wolves were a hundred times better than the fictional wolf named White Fang. No, these were elemental wolves, their fur clearly stating which elements the wolf is profound at. Fire wolves have furs of fire, Ice wolves have icy prickly fur and well, you get the point. A cry of alarm went up as soon as the mages saw that the wolves have breached the walls surrounding the base as the wolves began their slaughter of the less skillful mages. They made quick work of those inexperienced fools and started attacking the Academy students. It was about that time that Darah realized that what she had thought was a dream, was not. A fire wolf with blazing fur had spotted her and started loping towards her with his mouth wide open, fire burning from his throat. In a few seconds, it would have all been over for Darah but suddenly, the wolf noticed something behind Darah and froze in its tracks. Literally. The fire on the wolf’s fur immediately died as its body became frozen solid, hardening into stone. Darah got up and turned around to face her son, Gekko the basilisk in his true form. It was the second time her child had saved her from life-pending danger, the first being the time when Gekko saved Darah from the tsunami which decimated the entire city of Aceh. Darah had actually removed hex+ from Gekko to revert him back into his true form as the wolf was charging for her. The growing form of the basilisk behind Darah made the wolf look at the basilisk in the eyes. Not the smartest of things to do for a glare from a basilisk could turn you instantly into stone if the basilisk chose to. “Oh Gekko!” Darah cried as she wrapped her arms around her son’s thick neck. “I love you so much!” Her son said the only human word he knew, but Darah could tell what he was trying to say by the tone of his voice. “Mama…” which showed Darah how much his affection for her was.
Surprisingly, the students of the academy fought back rather well against the monstrous beasts. In fact, they were able to dispatch most of the wolves quickly and with relative ease. Man, how was the headmaster grading the people of the Academy? Mages who are pathetically inexperienced for combat such that they get taken down so easily by enemies get the rank of Arch Magi while the students who took the enemy out without problem get the rank of Apprentices? Was the headmaster some senile old fool who can’t even give proper judgement to his students?
Now that the first wave has just about been halted, the second wave came, arriving in a large force to support the remnants of the first wave of elemental wolves. The second wave was immensely strong, comprising of many strong beasts such as centaurs, minotaurs and many other human x monster hybrids. Not only did they come in an assortment of strong species but they also came with different sorts of heavy damage dealing weapons. Everything from axes to maces, swords to high caliber guns, this new second wave of monsters were armed to the teeth. Darah could see the other students backing up, coming together and forming defensive line. Darah knew that she and Gekko were very efficient in fights. However, against such a force there was a large possibility that they may get seriously hurt, that is if they didn’t die. Darah didn’t care much about her own life. What mattered most was the safety of her son. Climbing aboard Gekko’s back, Darah told her boy, “Come on Gekko. This isn’t our fight. Let’s go elsewhere and leave this to the Academy students.”
Gekko was about to turn away but suddenly, the couple of mother and son were surrounded by five axe whirling minotaurs led by a centaur wielding a large halberd. “Hold human.” The centaur said saying the word human as though it was a cursed word. Continuing with a grin, he said “No one leaves.” On some hidden command, the minotaurs advanced with their axes up high. The situation was starting to excite Darah. Her adrenaline levels began increasing rapidly and the spell hex+ came into effect. Darah’s horns extended and became serrated as her arms lengthened. Her eyes turned black in color as dark green scales covered her skin and coating mucus was secreted through the folds of the scales, covering Darah completely. Darah’s short dark green hair turned jet black as it grew longer. The overall transformation was horrifying, even on the beasts’ level and they hesitated for a short while. A short while’s hesitation was much, much too long. With a deep breath, Darah’s poison glands underneath her tongue dilated and she spat out a large glob of paralyzing poison mixed with rotting poison about the size of a basketball at the closest minotaur. On the face of the monster was one of extreme pain but the creature could not utter a single cry. It was paralyzed as the bacteria of Darah’s rotting poison began its work to destroy the minotaur’s cells. Gekko took the opportunity and swung his tail in a wide circle and impaled two minotaur on the spikes of his tail, paralyzing another which fell instantaneously onto the ground. The fallen minotaur was instantly spat on by Darah using the acid poison. pH 1. The most acidic of acids. Slowly, a hole melted into the minotaur who couldn’t even scream in pain because of the basilisk’s paralysis. “HRaaaauuunggh!” A loud roar followed by a low groan of pain by Gekko. NO! thought Darah as she saw that the remaining minotaur had cleaved Gekko’s right fore-shoulder with its heavy axe. The wound wasn’t too deep. Gekko would be able to move without trouble but still the basilisk’s green blood flowed from the wound. However, as his mother Darah wouldn’t forgive the minotaur that had hurt her son. Darah coated her platinum claws with all of her deadly toxins and jumped off her son’s back. Landing onto the sandy ground, she dashed her way to the evil spawn which had hurt her son and spat a small glob of paralyzing poison at it. The minotaur dropped to the ground but unlike the others, this one could still scream. In rapid successive strikes, Darah clawed and clawed at the minotaur. His genitals, eyes, ears, abdomen… all were ripped out from its body as it screamed with agony. Over and over again, Darah dug her claws into its skin as the rotting bacteria, the acids and the painful diseases worked on the nearby cells. Having done enough damage, Darah got up. The minotaur was still screaming with the pain of fires from seven hells. Perfectly as Darah had planned, this one would die a slow painful death filled with agony.
The centaur simply stood there in fear as he watched his squad get torn up, melted and disintegrated before his eyes, all in just a few quick moments. He watched in horror as Darah started advancing towards him. “NO! Please!” The centaur begged. “Spare me, I beg of you!” While the centaur had been watching Darah tear the last minotaur apart, he didn’t notice where Gekko had gone to. “HRaaaaaangH!” Gekko roared from behind the centaur. The centaur only managed to turn his head around and watched as the basilisk’s jaws closed over his head. Crunch!
After the centaur had been dispatched, Darah walked over to her son and gently examined her son’s shoulder. “Mama…” Gekko sobbed slightly. “I’m sorry Gekko…” Darah apologized. “I’m so terribly sorry. I should have never brought you into this…” Darah was a venomancer, not a healer. She could not heal the wound, but she could take away the pain felt by it. She spat out some antiseptics onto the wound to prevent bacterial infection as well as reduce the pain the wound must be causing her beloved child. Thank god the basilisk’s skin was armor tough and protected Gekko from most of the axe’s damage otherwise Darah would fear what would become of her child.
Just about then, shouts raised up as Azrael Thantos led his team to cut down most of the beasts and monsters. Shouts of anguish by the monsters, shouts of cheering and victory by the mages. At last, it is over… Thought Darah, but how very wrong she was.
Crash! Will this day never cease? Darah asked no one in her mind. The walls of the base crashed down as huge goliath creatures known as ogres slammed into the walls. Actually, to humans it would be a slam. The ogres however most probably destroyed walls on a regular basis. Every Sunday morning strolls of theirs must have contained walking into walls and the camps walls must have made their slow minds think something like, “What? What wall?” “You just walked right through it” “Duh… I did?” All brawns and no brains, that’s what ogres basically are. Darah no longer wanted to fight and get Gekko into any more harm but now things have gotten personal for her. The beasts have hurt her son and they were going to pay dearly for it. It is in her instinct as her mother to do so. Like the mother lynx who would avenge her cubs, so would Darah.
Darah started to walk towards the ogres when there was a low groan behind her. It was Gekko. He wanted to come along and fight alongside his mother. “No Gekko.” Darah said. “This is too dangerous, I don’t want you to get hurt anymore.” Another groan from Gekko as he and his mother locked eyes. At last, mother consented and climbed aboard her son’s back.
“HRRREEEEE!” Darah screeched in monster form. “HRRAAARGH!” Gekko roared.
Together, they charged towards the ogres and closed the distance quickly. Concentrating on her mana, Darah casted her hexing spell upon one of the ogres to change it into a chicken. Gekko would then trample over it before it got the chance to revert to its original form.
