The vampire sped up and caught Tristan off guard. It had been too long since he fought a vampire. He didn't even have enough time to throw a half assed counter that would burn the intruders arm. What he did manage to do, was roll under the wolf before he came down and stand just as quickly.
Tristan would then jump up, and use the wolfs shoulder for a stepping point to launch himself high into the air. With the wolfs height and position, there was a good chance the vampire wouldn't see the hunter coming down on his head full force with his left bladed fist. If the vampire dodged that, Tristan would ignite both his titanium gauntlets with his fire punch spell and chase after him making carefull slashes that wouldn't require too much commitment.

Grey sped up, and Kegan was shocked. There was no way his attack would land. The next few moments were mostly a blur. He did however feel the boot of the hunter on his shoulder, and that had sent him to the ground in a hurry. He landed, knowing what had just happened... he had been used to give the hunter bit of a lift. Clever. I'll give him that. Kegan watched at the hunter proceeded after Grey, waiting for an opportunity to strike his enemy down. He crept around, trying to gain an edge by hiding just outside the clearing. He would keep himself hidden, waiting for the vampire to land. If all went as planned, Grey would land facing Tristian, and right in front of Kegan. That would be the moment he would strike.

((OOC: Kegan gave me permission to use his character and to perform the transformation))
Grey looked up as he heard the 'woosh' of clothes in the air, and saw the hunter come straight at him with his bladed gauntlet in a flashy dive. How brave, valiant and foolish Grey thought, smiling inside, how very human. The werewolf had disappeared from Grey's view, but he didn't have time to do anything about it.
Taking a step forward, Grey launched a devastating kick at the descending hunter, using the support lent to him by the earth to smash the edge of his foot into the hunter's gut. This should make his landing unpleasant as he would be pushed off course.
But, unbeknown to Grey, the werewolf had been waiting for exactly this chance. Grey had turned around as he kicked to deliver full strength to the blow, and now stood with his back to his mortal foe. Snarling with rage born from instinct, the lycanthrobe attacked Grey from behind, sending him crashing to the ground with a single strike of his mighty claws.
Picking up the undead fighter by his legs, Kegan swung him around like a doll, smashing his face into a tree. For the first time in a long while, Grey was mortified by pain, and his hands covered his face in a feeble attempt to protect it from harm. This proved unsuccessful as the werewolf threw him across the clearing with all his might, Grey's body impacting with full strength on another tree.
Grey was overcome by the pain, barely able to move. But there was another pain. The one in his chest had grown, gnawing at every corner of his very being, bringing him endless pain. He had rolled unto his back, sitting with his back against the tree that greeted his face. Grey felt the torment mount in his heart and beginning to move upwards, as if it was trying to force it's way out. Grey put back his head to cry out his torment into the midnight air, but not only sound left his throat.
Thick, smoke-like strands of pure darkness left his mouth, flowing down his face and covering his entire body. Grey stood up, trying to fight off the elemental shadows but there was nothing he could do. He screamed and wreathed as though he were on fire, although that would have been a far more desirable occurrence.
When the screaming stopped the being turned back it's attention on the two warriors from before. Elemental darkness had taken the place of flesh, pulsating all over his body like thick, black smoke. His eyes were gone, replaced by two orbs that glowed crimson with impure rage. His hair was gone, although the darkness maintained the shape there was no difference in color. The being bared its teeth in an unholy smile, the gleaming white carnivorous teeth untouched by the sacrilegious alteration. The being threw back it's head and laughed, the sound of a thousand souless laughters filling the air. When it spoke, it spoke with a voice that seemed composed of a chorus of thousands of lost souls, the unearthly voice echoing the mortal minds to which it spoke.
"We must feed, yeeesssss... They will fall to our power and join us in our eternal glory as we purify this world of its unholy taint, yeeeesssss they must join us to make the world complete, to make it pure again yeeesssss" The being stood smiling with unrefined madness, each 'yes' a rasping noise that sounded like it was made from pure nightmare, as the being stared at the duo with its pupiless eyes. Then it threw back its head and laughed again, revelling in the thoughts of the destruction it would cause

Tristan caught the kick in his stomach. It was fast enough to bypass even his trained sights, though it did hardly any damage. The hunters vest absorbed most of the shock, the only pain was a mild iritation of being balanced in the air on the vampires foot for a moment.
An iritation soon to be remidied by the wolf yanking the vampire through the air. Tristan dropped to his feet and he stayed in a crouched position as the vampire was tossed around like a rag doll, smashed forward and back. He stood after the intruder was thrown and on the ground. "Nicely done wolf." Only one problem with that, the damage had unlocked something. Something Tristan had not yet seen as a hunter.
"This is gonna suck."

OOC: This note is just to confirm what Grey says is true. I gave him permission. Ok, onto the post.
Kegan smiled as he seemed to have the upper hand. Grey felt like paper in his clawed hands, and he tossed the vampire around. Why couldn't I do this earlier? He flung the immortal into a tree, and watched him writhe in pain. The hunter complimented his efforts. "Thanks." came the gruff reply. The small feeling of victory was short lived, as he stood there watching the horrible transformation that was occurring before them. Kegan had seen many things, but this was something he did not feel prepared to deal with at all.
The shadow creature that had taken the place of Grey was like something out of a dark, unholy nightmare. He was more than he was before, a demon of shadow. Kegan's eyes widened with something he hadn't felt in quite some time... fear.
"Shit."

Grey was a very rare breed of vampire. All vampires needed to sustain themselves upon energy, almost allways energy derived from the living, stolen through blood or brainwaves, but a few vampires were unable to contain there thirst, their hunger increasing over time due to the rush of feeding that only a vampire knows about.
These vampiric outcasts almost always ended up feeding on souls, and Grey was no exception to this. He had not, however, been able to let the souls out of his system again, which meant that there had been a steady mounting in the amount of souls in his blood, increasing the pain that the consumption dulled. His spiritual indegestion had reached the point were the souls were strong enoguh to riavl for control, and that was what had happened just now.
The being that had taken Grey's place was the tormented consciousness of the souls that had been suffering in his blood for decades, driving them far beyond the boundries of sanity. What the hunter and the werewolf were witnessing was a thing that had not occured in vampire history since the very earliest years of vampiric society, a soul flayer.
The being hadn't stopped it's chilling laughter, but was now charging at the duo, it's arms stretched out to the sides as thouhg the fingers were claws. The being was running straight for the werewolf, wanting to feed on a lycanthrobe soul for the first time in years. Unlike Grey this thing didn't have a strategy, it acted purely out of instinct, an instinct that urged it to kill

Tristan watched the transformed vampire and wondered why the hell he had to leave Igneus back at the town. Being only a year old, the telepathic link between them didn't stretch this far yet. The hunter watched the now demonic vampire rush and thought quickly.
He didn't want to get into hand to hand with this thing just yet so he did the next best thing which may or may not work. [Katon] He thought to himself inhaling deeply and quickly. As soon as the vampire came within eight feet of the wolf, Tristan blew out hard. A huge stream of fire ended in a fireball that would smash into the vampire head on. With his speed and proximity, it would be almost impossible to fully avoid, or even partially so. The hunter was close enough to the wolf however, that it wouldn't hit him without the chance to back up.

Kegan felt like he was unable to move. Fear had frozen him to the spot. He struggled against this unfamiliar feeling, but it was no use. The demon was closing in, and Kegan figured himself as good as dead. Thats when he saw it, out of the corner of his eyes. The blast of flame coming from the hunter. It snapped Kegan out of his state of fear as he rolled back, out of the range of the fire.
He shifted to human form. Fighting this creature hand to hand seemed like it would only prove fatal. He would attempt to use bending to his advantage. he looked up to see if the flame had not only hit the vampire, but what effect it might have on him.

Fire. Flame. The blast of fire hit home, the scorching heat hitting the flayer completely unexspected, the beast stopping dead in it tracks upon contact. The searing flames engulfed the beings head for a split moment, and when when they were gone only the gleaming white of the skull remained, the fanged jaw falling down with nothing left to hold it up. Or so it seemed.
The eyeless pits of the skull turned towards the hunter, slowly, as if it was stunned with shock. But that was not the case. The eeire, tormented laughter from before returned, the sound echoing soulessly throghout the clearing as darkness ran up from the shoulders and throat of the being, effortlessly replacing the loss. The hunter was now not only the closest target but also the only registered as a threat, and the being decided to switch around the menu, putting him as the first dish.
Using the practical negligeable distance between itself and the hunter, the being closed within the blink of an eye fuelled by its unearthly hunger. The being was not Grey, but it was using an altered form of it, and so it too fared far better in close quarters than any other place, not least because o fGrey's already impressive speed now far beyond those levels, no flesh, muscles or laws left to pose a hindrance. The thing would lash for the hunter's head with its, then kick for the hunter's gut, acting off Grey's experiences, but not truly understanding them. Instinct was never the spirit of comprehension, after all

Tristans flaming breath slowed after a few seconds that seemed a small eternity from both anticipation and slight anxiety. The yellow, orange, and red flames lowered in intensity and size to reveal a bare skull. Vampiric fangs beared blatantly from lack of flesh. The same laughter came, the cackling of what any one would imagine of a skeleton, the dark essense poured from the gaped jaw.
It rushed and was upon Tristan in the blink of an eye. The hunters left hand met the bony neck and held the creature back. With the over half foot height difference and Tristan's reach, the Knee was just out of range. Tristan's head was angled down, eyes glowing bright the terrible blood red color that had not seen the light of day in over two years. Catching the insanely fast demon caused the hunters body to jar and his deep orange sunglasses fell from his now transforming face.
"You should feel proud of yourself...Your the first being in two years that has forced me into this form." Came a deeper voice, only vaguely similar to the hunters original voice. His skin grew pale, his form grew, the bright blood red eyes glowed even brighter. Lips reddened, Pearl white fangs poked out of them. The form finished growing and was now a full inch taller. The fangs finished growing as well, protruding about half an inch from the crimson lips of the face that now had delicate, angular features. The pale, smooth face gave way to death white hair that now extended half way down the transformed hunters back.
Those white locks gave way to black wings that slowly folded out from behind the new figured that had an eminence of disdain and fear to equal the Vampire held back by a gauntleted hand. "Now...This ends." Came the bone chilling voice, much deeper than the original. The blades on the gauntlets had mysteriously dissapeared, the alchemy having triggered just before the transformation.
That left hand errupted in a feirce flame and engulfed the skull once again. The right hand followed suit and the flame engulfed metal fist flew straight into the ribs with enough force to completely shatter any humans, and most vampires bones.

Kegan felt a small sense of relief when the bast of fire stopped the shadow form of Grey dead in it's tracks. He bare skull hung there as if the creature had been defeated. His relief turned to shock as the shadow only turned it's attention to the hunter, moving almost too fast for the wolf to follow. In a feat that seemed impossible, the hunter caught the thing by it's neck, and began to transform himself. Kegan watched, still frozen to the ground as Tristian became quite an impressive site.
The force of the attack that came form the now more powerful hunter was enough to knock Kegan off his feat. He couldn't imagine, nor did he want to, what it must have felt like to receive the entire blast. He could only hope the threat was nullified, and he could return to his camp for a much needed rest.

The flayer hissed at the tranformed hunter, baring its white fangs. A soulflayer was a creature that was driven of no more than three drives, killing, feeding and a deathwish, and this flayer was hungry.
Reacting purely out of instinct, it pulled away from the grip of the transformed hunter, the darkness that formed the throat dissolving into nothingness just before Tristan's hands caught fire. Leaning forwards and setting off from the ground, the creature launched itself forward, flying past the flaming hands and landing a vicious palming strike on the hunter's chest.
So far the flayer had registered no threat from the other present soul, and it would continue to ignore him until it did. Although the "body" was unhindered by it, an internal struggle for control was at its highest, each individual souls struggeling for dominion, Grey among them

A small pillar of flame shot from Tristan's right hand as he had punched as the skeleton moved away. Somehow it pulled from the hunters grip and came back with a raw fury. The crusnik's body jarred with the impact. His vest caught some of it, but his body took the rest. Felt it? yes. Did it hurt? yes. Damaged by it? No.
The great wings, now fully extended, flapped once, propelling Tristan forward the small distance to the far from ordinary vampire with almost as much speed as it possesed. A firey hand shot out in a clawed position to rake across the torso, possibly breaking bones along the path. The left wing whirled around from behind the hunter and with razor sharp feather like protrusions, whipped into the beings arm.
If a cut was made, any blood or tissue removed from the skull bared being would rise up and fly straight into the black wings. Crusniks were vampires that fed on the blood of vampires, and any remains of flesh or blood that was exposed to the air would be absorbed.

[glow=red,2,300][shadow=red,left,300][/shadow]"Is that all?"[/glow] The soul that had spoken, an ancient vampiric teacher in the dark art of blood magic, was now the one who controlled the malicious entity. Her suffering trapped among the other souls, she made use of her nemesis' now enhanced form. She had met soulflayers before, and she knew more than most about the strengths and weaknesses they had. The same for crushniks, her favorite form of both pet, assassin and bodyguard
Flames didn't bite a soulflayer, but she was not keen on letting the crushnik gain hold of the ribcage. counter-attacking by slamming its fist into the crushnik's hand, a move that lay among the shared memories of all the souls, the vampire lost control the moment after the blow had been avoided, replaced by a werewolf known as 'Moon-scar'.
The werewolf reacted violently to the descending wing, howling its unnatural fury as it planted its other hand on the wing pushing itself above the sharp feathers. The feathers cut effortlessly through the darkness but stopped at the bones, the skeleton beneath the swirling torment now among the hardest substances in the world. Most vampires bones were little, if any, stronger than the bones of a human, but because of the immense energy that had passed through and been absorbed by the body, that had now changed drastically.
Using its now elevated position, the werewolf swung forth both the legs of its nemesis, kicking with both for the 'vampire's' head. Moon-scar didn't know the difference between a vampire and a vampire and a crushnik, and he didn't care either

Kegan was stalking. He was watching and waiting. He was only going to get one shot to attack, and then the thing would be on him. What he was planning would drain all of his energy. If it worked, it would be worth it. If it failed, he would be at the mercy of the being attacking the hunter.
Kegan had gotten himself beside the two, but at a distance. He waited until there was a space between the two combatants and then he moved. He stood straight, lifting his arms. "HA!" The ground shook, and a wall of stone erupted between Tristan and Grey. Kegan continued to move, focusing hard. He formed a box out of the stone, surrounding the beat and attempting to contain it within. With one final move, crouching hard and fast, bringing both hands to the ground, the roof of the box shot toward the ground, crushing the being underneath.
He doubted it was powerful enough to kill him, but it might render the thing unconscious. Problem was, Kegan was too drained to fight. He looked to Tristan. "I hope that got him." With that, the lycan's eyes closed and he fell to the ground. He was drained, the amount of focus needed to bend drained him of all his energy. He would be fine in an hour or so, but he would be hungry. So long as he was still alive by then, he would deal with it.
