Entrance into a New School

[Scith]

He wondered why exactly, that he had even bothered coming to this place, all the magic he had was repressed into the sword he held.. maybe that was it. The reason he was here was because of the blood line in him, and that the sword itself had been a relic handed down through the Kaine line. That had to be it. At least thats what he found himself thinking as he walked through the halls of this academy, there was no purpose in his wandering, he just did not want to go to class right now, he had the "jitters" as one would say, he never did like the first day of classes, nor did he like the last, far to many happy people, and far, far to many introductions to be giving around. He hated all of that when it came in such a large proportion as the first day of school.

"I guess.. its for the best.. but I thought I was done with school.. at least.. normal schooling.. erm.. I guess I should say all but my college degree.."

He sighed softly once more, those hands dipping down into his pockets, as blue eyes focused themselves on the path below his feet, there was no purpose in watching where he went, 90% of the people were where they were supposed to be. He was not wearing that mask today either, instead, he was dressed in a basic button up shirt, which he had of course unbuttoned for comfort, and a white t-shirt underneath that. A set of baggy jeans accompanied his outfit insuring that he was comfortable and not in the traditional mom and pop first day set of clothing.

Jyo walked through the academy letting his speed make his long one-sleeved white coat whip around behind him and his long loose hair be slightly carried by the breeze. He had his normal grey shirt and pants on with his balck combat boots and his longsword was resting horeazontally on the small of his back in it's sheath.

Jyo was out of class for now and he decided to take a stroll alone for a bit. he noticed a tall bland person he had never seen before as he passed. It was clear the guy was new but not the wide-eyed intimidated kind of new. Just obviously someone who just got here. Jyo figured he would say hello.

"Hi there. My name's Jyo. I couldn't help but notice you seem a bit new. Whats your name and can I help you with anything?" He asked

[Scith]

Looking up from his walking, he had stopped and let those eyes focus on who it was talking to him. Well, at least it didnt look like another teacher, but then again you couldnt be sure in this place as some of what he had seen looked young and others old.

"Hey.. I am Scith, and not really, I just hate the first day of school is all.."

He shrugged his shoulders slightly and stood back upright like how he was supposed to, his hands having not yet left from deep within the confines of his pockets.

"Well met Scith. Always glad to see a new student. As for hating the first day. Well this place is rather nice. The teachers actually have a lot to let one learn from and they'll actually answer any question about the class until they are sure you understand. Hell classes aren't even boring. So it won't be hard to settle into." Jyo said as he leaned against a nearby wall.

"So do you come from far away from the Academy or are you a little closer than some?" Jyo asked. Having been raised in these walls he always was interested in the backrounds of his fellow students here.

[Scith]

"Oh.. its not the class itself.. its just the first day that I hate is all.."

He shrugged once more and looked back up to him once more, where had he come from? Now that was a quick question... he didnt bother walking away it would be fruitless to brush off someone whom seemed to be kind.

"Mm.. no. I am from the US. Thing is.. I dont know why they called me up here, I am not exactly... adept in magic.."

He just shook his head and shrugged once more, almost laughing a bit.

"Well mabey thats why they chose you to come here. The investigators probebly saw your potentail and decided to see it stem out." Jyo said with a shrug. He knew alot of his own magic skill at this age came from the fact he had grown up around magic all his life. Then there was the weapon training. But constant study in both had made him more balanced.

"So if you don't mind telling me. What skills do you have to bring to bear. Even if it's not magic I'm sure you have something up your sleeve." he asked figuring if this guy really didn't like the first day at school Jyo could at least just give him someone to talk with a bit and not worry about much more then just being greeted a bit.

[Scith]

"Hmm... no... see. Its not that I dont have magic YET.. its I CANT use magic at all, at least.. with the ruddy sword I have now.. my family blood line.. is unique so to speak."

He rose a hand up and rubbed the back of his neck, almost purely out of instinct over anything else. Now... skills? What could he say? Well. He only really had one skill that would be of any use to this place.. no wait, he had two. Yea.

"Well, I have knack for getting on the good side of animals, and I am also a decently skilled swordsman. Thats about it so far however.."

[jyo]

"Interesting. Perhapes you and I will deul one of these days not far off." Jyo said
"As for the animal thing. I can see where that could be useful. Perhapes you have Druidic like magic or something similar you can use. They seem to be the best with animals that are not summoned." He said thoughtfully. Granted it could be true he was very very wrong. But under the conditions it was a valid thought.

"Oh well. at any rate would you like me to show you around the place. Or do you rather like finding things yourself?" He asked.

[Scith]

"Druid.. nah.. I just have an understanding with animals, mostly through my choices towards them I guess... "

He shrugged yet again, this time though, he was a little more unsure, he couldnt exactly figure out why he had been called here, and it didnt really help to think to much about it. Instead to Jyo's offer he let a slight smile show.

"Yea.. sure. That would be great."

Nodding his head this time that smile stayed there, well, he didnt hate people in small doses, but it was when a large crowd got around that freaked him.

Jyo gave a grin.
"Alrighty then. Would you care for just a general runabout of the place or is there anything in particular you are interested in. This place has about anything a person could think of." He said standing away from the wall he had been leaning on and adusting the collar fastend on his bare upper left arm. and slightly adjusting the longsword at the small of his back as well.

[Scith]

"Hmm.. just give me the best rundown you can."

He nodded once more, yet no weapon could have been seen on him, simply the hilt of a blade whch hung at his opposite hip, locked in place by his belt, that was why his weaponry had been unique.. it did not take up space, and could be called upon in a split second.. that wasnt.. the only thing unique about it, though that was something that also hurt him at the same time.

"So.. how old is this school anyways?"

[jyo]

"I can't give an exact date. Not many probebly can. But my studies confirm anywahere from the mid to late 1800's. But thats the closest I can narrow it down to." Jyo said as he led Scith through the Academy pointing out areas to study or train. Other places where one could get something to eat and the classroom levels as well as letting him know where the dormatories where.

"There's alot here considering how big this place is. but it's really easy to get around in once you leanr the basics." He said as the passed another cafeteria type area.
'HAve you had anything to eat for a while. the food here is actually pretty good." he said.

[Scith]

"Ah. I see.. well, still, this place is pretty damn old. "

He chuckled slightly and followed right behind him and a little off to the side, his hands resting now with only his thumb hooked in the belt that held up his pants. The place that he had been sent to, was indeed, a VERY interesting place, so old, and yet it had all the modernization of other schools.

"Food? No.. I havent actually, went to sleep when I got in yesterday and since then I havent eaten anything."

He laughed once more and shrugged a bit.

"Well lets grab a bite to eat. Good thing is they don't charge students and teachers here." He said as they walked onti the lunchrrom. The place was more like a foodcourt at a mall or such place. There was about any kind of food one could think of.

"Tell you what. Grab whatever you're going to munch on and I'll do the same. We can meet at that table." He said pointing a=to a table that was mostly ignored.

Jyo went to get his food and then made his way to the table curious as to if Scith had gotten there first.

[Scith]

Well, Jyo beat him there, that was for sure, he had ran around to three or four stalls with a big tray, not even bothering with plates for stuff he could use his fingers for, and little containers had things that he needed to use his spork for. He would have walked up to the table Jyo was at and offered a smile, setting his tray down, which looked like it had been piled with everything imaginable. Taco's, Chicken, Shrimp, Fish, Clams, Hamburgers, a few hotdogs, little things of mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, cole slaw.. and well, you get the point.

"Hmm.. wow.. this place does have everything Iw anted.."

He laughed a bit looking over at him with that smile there, he was certainly in a better mood already. Maybe this place wouldnt be so bad.. then there was that familiar howl, and of course, Zaro was bolting down the hall way, looking for Sciths scent.. when he found it, he tried to stop but ended up sliding down the hall way a little bit before he could get into the cafeteria, at which he just trotted over and planted himself down.

"eh... Zaro.. how'd you get out?"

The animal just looked up at him and tilted his head.. nevermind, he wasnt even going to ask, he would look later.
