Hadrian sighed annoyedly, she was not seeing the point. He watched her reaction as he mention Zeig, the puppy the Nephilim Corporation had provided for her. He had assumed that would be an appropriate example of the sort of twisted ulterior motives that the human race was capable of, but unfortunately she had gained quite a bit of idealistic optimism in her time at the Academy. He wanted to make her at least see his way, she could not trust humans...humans were by their very nature untrustworthy. They did anything and everything to maintain their own pitiful sense of importance and dominance.
"We shall see Celeste...but I cannot always be there for you. If and when these human friends of yours betray you, I can only hope you have not become too attached by then," he said with a soft sigh, "I did not mean to dredge up painful memories about Zeig, it was just an example of mankind's ability to mask their evil with love and kindness," he explained.

"You let hatred blind you. You have to realize not every one is out to get you. And you aren't sorry for bringing up memories. I can tell. You're trying to harden me. Yet I was created just like this and you were created like you are. You have to realize that we are made to balance each other so don't try to change me. One of us has to have faith in the human race even if you think them inferior." a fire burned in her eyes as she looked at him.
"Onto other things. Would you like something to eat? It's likely you haven't eaten in days. And I've been learning to cook." she said with a smile.

Hadrian sighed, even though he did not wish to admit it she was quite right, "You're correct Celeste...I shouldn't try to upset the equilibrium we've created. I just don't understand why you have such faith in humanity...you've seen them at their worst, " he said but shook his head with another resigned sigh, "I should stop though, you're right..I'm wrong, we must be what we were created to be," he said with a nod as if to affirm himself.
Hadrian watched her as she spoke though, she was so empassioned about it. The fire in her eyes, it proved that she was not above darker emotions like rage and anger. Though she had not shown either of those emotions, the fire in her eyes...it proved she was capable of them. But Hadrian would have to corral the desire he had to turn her against mankind. She was not created to be as zealous about their superiority to mankind as he was.
He had not noticed his hunger yet, that was until she mentioned food. Hadrian could not actually remember the last time he had eaten, it could not have been too long ago. Though he did place much importance or pleasure in mundane things such as eating he was not above admitting the need to re-energize his body. One could not kill efficiently if plagued by hunger fatigue constantly.
"I am actually quite famished Celeste, I would be grateful for a meal," he said with a smile as he watched her intently. She certainly was one of a kind. Hadrian only wished she were as empassioned about their kind as he was. But alas, they were confined to the destinies they were created to fulfill, nothing could change that.

Finally, he was going to leave her alone about the human race. She had truly met some wonderful people here at Arcane and she could only hope that he too would meet some nice humans here and there fore be able to see what they indeed had to offer. Yes, not all humans were good but that didn't necessarily mean they were all bad either.
"Dinner, sounds good. I'll make it." she said with a sweet smile.
She moved into the kitchen and opened the fridge. Luckily, her room came equipped with a kitchen and she had found out that not everyone's had. Yet, she enjoyed her kitchen and found that she enjoyed learning how to cook.
She pulled some chicken she had already taken out of the freezer to thaw for tonight and she began to cook. Browning the chicken first and cooking some rice with spices she had found out about while reading a cook book from the library.
"What, was Nephilim like for you?" she asked softly as she continued cooking.

Hadrian watched her with a grin as she moved towards the kitchen and started to work on dinner. He chuckled softly as she rummaged through her food items and as she had decided on chicken. Then she asked him about Nephilim and his experience there. Of course it most likely differed vastly from hers, he reveled in the pain they caused him and returned it two fold to those they pitted against him in the survival trials. From what he had heard she had been extremely timid and only killed in the trials when absolutely necessary. Hadrian gave his victims no such mercy, they were after all...only human.
"Well I must say my time at Nephilim was not all that horrible. Though for you the may have been. I enjoyed the pain they gave me, it may have been the pain desensitization training they gave me, or I just may be mentally unstable. Irregardless the tests, poking, and prodding were really nothing more than a mere annoyance. They gave me all the victims I could want...unlike you I actually enjoyed the survival tests. I know it may sound odd, but returning the pain they had given to me to others gave me an odd thrill," he said with a odd grin.
