What to do now (phae)

[Phae]

She was reluctant to see him leave but she knew that classes were very important and he couldn't skip. She wanted him to go and didn't want her to be the reason he stayed. She kissed him lovingly back before he left.

"Good bye love." she waved and lay back down after he left. Her life had turned into the most wonderful life ever lived in her opinion.

She lay down for only another minute or so laying next to his pillow her eyes shut just breathing in his scent and feeling the warmth left by him. It went away quickly and the bed was cold again. Phae got dressed quickly and made the bed for the second time that day and turned to her boxes after putting her hair back up in a pony tail.

"Allright you three you're next." she said and giggled that she was talking to herself.

She opened the first box...books..what else. She looked for some empty shelf room and placed her books in every spot she could find an opening and they just barely fit. There was still another half box of books. She chewed on her lower lip thinking of where to put those. Luckily that box was small and it was only ten books. She put them in a neat stack by her side of the bed and shrugged not wanting to move anything that belonged to Jun if she could help it.

She went back to the box and looked at it some personal stuff left okay. She looked around the room hoping to find some spots here and there that she could place here things without taking over. Okay, how about pick the important things. She wouldn't tell Jun she left things in the box. But she didn't want to 'girlify' his room either.

She took out her picture of her and Phoebe and placed it on her nightstand. She took the picture of her family and placed it on the desk and a few pictures of her dog and cat here and there. She finished unpacking the things she deemed important enough and though reluctant put the rest in the closet with her bedding.

The last box wasn't very full a jacked and coat for winter a few stuffed animals she hoped Jun wouldn't mind one pink puppy on the bed and the rest on top of her dresser where she moved her jewelry box and her box of hair ties. She folded up the last box and then turned to her sword. She carefully unwrapped the soft covering from the wall rack and placed it on the wall easily setting her sword in it's rack it was shinned and beautiful on the wall.

That now done she looked at the clock 3pm okay still had time to kill. She cleaned up the room a little moving nothing only dusting and straightening opening the window for fresh air and smiled as the breeze went by her. Another glance at the time said 3:45 and she decided to sit at the desk and read for a while.

She sat down at the desk leaning back and putting her legs up and decided instead of reading to write home. She pulled out her stationary set and with paper in her lap and began writing home about all manner of things.

A letter slid under the door at 4pm and she turned picking it up. It was addressed to her from her sister. She froze...I can't read this yet..she thought. She went back to the desk and sat the letter down unopened and continued her writing.

Once Junpei left his room behind to be taken care of by his beloved he smiled and set off down the hall, whisteling while he did. The fifteen minutes it took to walk to his dark arts advanced class passed by without incident accept the occasional 'hi' from a fellow classmate and a couple of odd looks at his roughed up appearance. His shirt was bit wrinkled from being thrown across the room and his hair looked like had just woken up, anyone who had known him more than a week would figure he just woke up late and threw something on. How wrong they would be if they thought that. Junpei coudl only laugh, all of his friends would think he had gone off the deep end now, that or just plain think he had made the girl up untill they met her.

Once in class he studied and listened without a single incident passing bye, not even a misfire spell or misread incantation today, everything seemed absolutely perfect today. His Dark arts class ran for the full hour and fifteen minutes like it should and then he was dismissed. Junpei however stayed after and spent the next hour and fourty-five minutes doing extra credit and private lessons. He needed to know as much as possible to know about this fusion of two beings. Hell if he was right then there would be nothing but a few minor physical changes. The most drastic thing that could happen would be that he end up wings, but that was very unlikely to happen.

Finally taking his mind off the subject came his research into Nether Fire and it's properties around a single being. He found hat to the creator it was harmless, since the creator could tell the fire to not burn inwards and stay a safe distance away to be bearable. Junpei's own creation, the Nether Flare it turned out was much more deadly and powerful, it did eat up a huge chunk of energy though adn that meant it was limited.

Finally came his study into the Nether Snow, which he could only use limitedly. He would use Nether Flare on a ball or leaf and then try and create the snow with it. All in all Junpei found out that his dark magic abilities were raised in this snow, so he would need to find an easier way to make it, probably just find a way to make mass Nether Flare easily. Maybe a reducing spell would work, and then a magnification spell on the snow. Either way it needed more studying but he lacked the time to do so.

Thanking his teacher for the lesson and then leavign the room Junpei bolted down the academic halls and rounded into the main hall. Running the full length of the hall Junpei flew into his room's corridor and hurriedly walked down to his room. It was 4:13 when he opened the door, his breathing a bit on the heavy side and his lungs burning as he had just run about a half mile in less than three minutes.

"Hello Phae."

Taking in his room Junpei could only nod his approval at her touch, however delicate it may be. He noted teh pictures and the sword first, then the very pink puppy sitting on his bed. All the while he could hear Loish in his mind complaining about a woman's touch in his Boss' home. Junpei could only tell the little lizard to beat it mentally and then walked over to Phae, wrapping an arm around her shoulders he leaned over and kissed her softly.

"How was your day?"

[Phae]

Phae was only too happy to see Jun again. She was just finishing her letter home and signing her name to the five page letter of which was mostly about Jun when he put his arms around her. She heard his question and glanced at the letter but then lay her pad of paper over it and stood up.

"It was great. I hope you don't mind the few things I put out." she said wrapping her arms around him and hugging him tightly. "Welcome home, darling."

She couldn't believe he was home though she had been busy doing things it had not helped that she constantly thought of Jun while she was in the middle of something and writing an entire letter on him was only making it worse but luckily he was here again and for the weekend.

"How was class love?" she asked.

[Junpei]

'Welcome home, darling', the words stuck in hsi mind like glue and he swallowed to keep imself from picking her up right there in the biggest hug he may ever give her. He smiled as she gave him a hug and asked about his class, letting his mind get distracted for a bit.

"Mmmm class was fun, leanred some mroe about my Nether Fire and Nether Flare, you might like what im trying to do, but it'll be a suprise for later."

Junpei let hr go and stood up, placing his single advanced dark arts book on the top of a pile three nooks high on his half of the desk. Looking down he saw her letter and smiled. She had probably been writing home from the looks of the letter. What got him was that five pages were bundled together there. How coudl she write five pages? Maybe the trip was very interesting.

"As for the room, everything looks fine, but a pink puppy? Loish doesn't exactly approve, but it's fine by me It is your room as well love."

Walking over to the bed Junpei sat downa dn then laid down, his legs hanging off the edge he closed his eyes and rubbed his face with his palms. He was almost burned out on magic use today, anny moe and he was going to be drained of any energy he had and probably would pass out or fall asleep, which ever took him first he knew it would be a deep sleep.

Sitting up rather quickly Junpei had a slight grin on his face, he had found something else out. According to his book a fusion of a dark summon and a master would allow the master to keep his personality and soul intact, but he would grab a few... physical traits from said entity. So in a sense Junpei would gain more angelic features, soemthing some might say he alreayd had.

"Phae dear, could you come here, I have some news you'll enjoy..."

[Phae]

Phae dear....her heart practiaclly melted at those two words. She smiled and went over to sit next to him and saw her pink puppy.

"If she causes problems I'll put her in the box in the closet where my..." she broke off having said too much. "I mean I'll put her away."

She tried to smile...damn it ...no damn him and how easy she made him feel. She bit her lower lip and put the puppy beside her and looked up into his eyes.

"What would you like to tell me, Jun?" she asked he seemed excited and she too wanted to know what he was going to say.

[Junpei]

Laughing a bit at her slip he knew she had to have more, no problem however, it was her room to afterall, who was he to say that she couldn't keep them out? Not many people came to his room anyways, and now even fewer would since Junpei was more or less spending all his time with Phae. Junpei didn't mind this fact however, he was a loner before, now people just saw it as his normal routine.

"It's fine Phae, I have no complaints. On to my news though, I found out that even if I don't LOOK the saem in every way, I will have the same personality and soul. It's just a strengthening ceremony, or in this case a soul binding one. I'll keep the personality and soul I had, but my summon's physical traits will blend with mine. Meaning Phea, I will be the same inside, adn justa bt different outside."

Junpei smiled over at her brightly as he finished the news. She was most likely going to be estatic or elated, more likely Junpei was going to be catching his lover soon, cause with her personality he was going to be a lot more active.

[Phae]

Phae listened and cocked her right brow as she listened. Inside she was elated.

"Jun!" she screamed and threw herself into his arms knocking him both down on the bed. She kissed him quickly all over his face and his neck. "Oh Jun how wonderful! I cannot believe it's really going to happen."

She couldn't help but laugh the man she loved with everything in her life was going to live! LIVE! and she would be able to spend her entire life with him.

"We have to celebrate somehow right now..no wait!" she said excidedly practically jumping around. "Let's go somewhere this weekend anywhere a whole world out there...we should be together and celebrate!"

Her eyes were a light with happiness her skin practically glowed. Heaven..that was where she was living at the moment, in heaven next to the man she had given herself over to completly.

[Junpei]

Junpei laughed and smiled as he recieved a flurry of kisses and a stranglehold hug. Putting his arms around her he nodded at her words of a celebration. She got up and jumped around and he was laughing more, his love certainly was excited, as was he, but he wasn't one to show off like this. Standing back up he caught her and held her from behind, his strong arms wrapping around her waist and hodling her in place. He leaned down and kissed just below her ear, smiling.

"Phea, i know exactly what to do. I want you to stay here with me and just let us enjoy the weekend. I can't afford to leave right now love, I have to work as well. I know you want to go out and celebrate but we'll have to wait. I need to be prepared right now, and the only way to do that is to study up on this and be here. PLeas eunderstand Phae, i'll take you out for an entire weekend once all this si over. No an entire wekk wehn this is done."

Junpei kissed her neck and shoulder spot once more and pulled her back down to the bed, sitting her in his lap. He didn't say anything more, just held her, enjoyed her company. Right now this was all he could give her and he knew deep down that he wanted to give her more. He wanted to take her out and see the entire world if need be, hell he would settle for just a private weekend away from the school in some remote town in the mountains. Sadly he had to work on this as well as play, so being here in the room with her was the best thing he culd offer her this weekend.

[Phae]

Phae felt his arms wrap around her and she stopped jumping and listened to his words. She understood completly she had jumped to conclusions anyway. She knew that he needed work and study so that the bonding would go well. She nodded and when he sat her down in his lap she calmed down.

"I'm sorry Jun. I kinda got excited is all." she said and leaned against him her forehead against the side of his neck. "I will stay with you this weekend and make sure you work and study hard and be quiet so you can concentrate. But I won't let you work yourself to exhaustion because that will not do you any good."

She ran her right hand up and ran it down his cheek not even looking but longing to touch him. She was dying inside from happiness and it was taking so much to keep herself still right now. She knew that this weekend because it would be important she would be silent and she would definatly try to stay out of the way. She could train...

"If this weekend I get annoying or you need the room to yourself just let me know and I'll go train. Or read, or anything really. I just want to make this as easy as possible as I can for you." she told him and moved her head slightly to kiss him gently on the neck.

She would do anything for him at this moment. She was elated...he was going to live. The hole in her soul healed up as if it had never been there and she felt so light and happy. She loved this man beyond all else. She was determined to see him through this.

[Junpei]

Junpei coudl only sit and hold Phae as she spoke and then placed a kiss on his neck, the things that woman could do to make him love her more. Listening to her words he realised that he may have to push her out for a bit this weekend, when he practiced getting a new summon, or maybe she would like to stay and watch. Either way he wasn't going to be using anymore magic today so for now at least, he wouldn't have to force her out. She felt so warm in his arms, he still was amazed at how cold hi life used to be, with no one here to warm him and do what she did to his personality and body.

"Well, I have to do a lot of bookwork this weekend and try to get myself a new summon. However i'm drained from using so much magic today, so i'm going to take nap. Feel free to do whatever-"

Junpei leaned down adn kissed her neck softly, smiling as he did.

"lover..."

Junpei let his arms slip out from around her and he slid back, out from under her adn lened back, laying his head on a pillow. He easily slipped out of his shoes and let them fall to the floor next to his bed, a habit he had was to just leave them there.

[Phae]

So cute...he was so cute when he was sleepy. She couldn't help but giggle. She picked up his shoes and set them in the closet so he wouldn't trip over them later and opened her bedding box pulling a red and white quilt she had brought out. She took it over to him and covered him up gently and carefully and sat next to him for just a moment. She ran a hand through his hair and leaned over kissing his forehead.

"Sweet dreams my love." she whispered and turned back to the desk.

She picked up her letter and began addressing the envelope her eyes falling on her sisters letter...not yet...in a few minutes she would open it. She folded the soft pink paper and placed it in the envelope and with her fluid script wrote her family's address on it and closed it with a sticker.

She smiled looking over her shoulder at the sleeping Jun. So adorable when he was asleep. She bit her lip and smiled. She turned to the letter and picked it up. She slid her finger underneath the fold to open it. She swallowed the lump in her throat as she opened the letter to find Phoe's flowing script filling the page.

My Dearest Sister,

How are you Phae? I really miss you...but I know that you will flourish at the Academy. There you will find friends you always seemed to make them so easily. Study hard my sister and become the great mage I know you will be. You are strong and always have been for me and for those around you.

Do not worry about me though if I know you ... you probably didn't read the letter right away fearing I was lost or hurting somewhere. I traveled for some time looking for a place that I could belong and train. And here in, Italy I have found a school that can teach me what I desire to learn and I have fallen in with some friends.

Maybe we will see each other soon, Phaedra. I know you always hated when I used your full name...but we can visit each other easily. Please write me. I have a solid address now, and I miss my sister.

Silent tears fell down Phae's face after she finished reading the letter. The letter itself slipping from her hand to flutter to the floor. She sat there staring out the window but seeing nothing.

She was happy her sister had found somewhere to belong but missed her so very much.

[Junpei]

Junpei smiled as he drifted off to sleep, his body demanding the simple action that was a nap. He dreamed, of Phae and of himself, but one particular point caught his mind off guard and soon Junpei realised he was back to talking to Harlow.

- Dream State -

Junpei stood in the pure blackness of his mind just as before, onyl this time there were no doors, just Harlow, standing across from him like he always did in this state. Junpei growled in his throat, Harlow wanted something and it was not his place to ask for it.

"Your turn to listen boy."

"You're nothing but a summon, if you want to talk wait till you're summoned and I have no other use for you."

"You're pushing me back Junpei, denying that i'm a part of your mind."

"That's because you're a god damned summon Harlow, you're nothing your mothing more than a two-bit, washed up, god hating angel that needs a good kick in the face."

"Watch your tounge boy, I have my reasons for leaving."

"Sure you do, you were to weak to deal with it. Unlike me i'm not running from my problems, i'm facing them head on. I have realised how truly weak you are unless I summon you Harlow. That's why im going to use you to extend my life."

"You wouldn't dare."

Harlow took a step forward, drawing his short sword as he did and Junpei took three forward, getting right in Harlow's face.

"You think you're so tough Harlow? You can't even strike me, our blood contract prevents it. If you want to hurt me then try it, adn I swear you'll never even get a chance to move. You'll be banished back to hell for a hundred years and there is nothing you can do about that."

Harlow immediately knelt before his summoner, realising he had lost again the blackness faded and Junpei's eyes fluttered open back in his room.

Real world

He leaned up and propped up on his elbows, tend trails of light faded in through the window and when he looked over, he realised an hou and a half had passed, it was already six o'clock.

Yawning Junpei blinked to regain his vision, also looking for Phae.

[Phae]

Phae sat for several minutes the silent tears rolling down her face. Jun was asleep on the bed and she was doing her best to be quiet. She missed her sister so much and it was hard be without your twin the one you grew up with and were so close to. She loved Jun but Phoe was the one she had always confided in.

She didn't move she stared off into nothingness her eyes unseeing. She didn't hear Jun she was lost in her own thought and missing her sister. Missing her family. Homesick many called it but it felt like so much more than that.

[Junpei]

Junpei spotted his love sitting at the desk, his eyes instantly sharpened as he saw the redness in her eyes, she had been crying adn he coudl tell. Almost hitting his head as he jumped out of bed Junpei was at her side in another instant he rested his hand in her lap and reached up with his other, brushing a strand of hair from her face. His fingers delicately ran over her cheek and he smiled softly.

"Phae.. is everything ok?"

Junpei was so worried about her right now he would have gone to the end of the earth and back to see her happy. Scratch that, he would have given his own life over to her, given her anything she could possibly want at that moment and more.

[Phae]

Phae heard the voice of Jun and came back to herself her eyes shifting down to look at him. She smiled and wiped her cheeks. She nodded. Bending over from the chair she retrieved the letter and placed it back on the desk.

"It's just my family I miss them and I got a letter from my sister for the first time since she left it just hit me hard is all." she said looking down into Jun's eyes.

She ran her hand along his face and leaned over to kiss him gently on the lips. She stayed close putting her head on his shoulder for a moment needing him so much right now. Tears slipped down her face as she began to cry.

"I'm so sorry Jun." she whispered. "I've never been away from home. If it wasn't for you..." she broke off and held him tightly.
