What to do now (phae)

[Junpei]

As she looked down to him he could only give her a reasurring smile and let her talk, as she leaned down and kissed him he kissed her back, softly and lovingly, she needed that feeling the most now, to know that she had loved ones here. As she began to cry again Junpei let out a soft wimper and carefully pulled her out of the chair. As he did he sat down himself and sat ehr down across his lap, suporting her back with his right arm he held her against him so she was supported and her head rested on his shoulder. He leaned his own head over and rested it near hers, wispering softy to her.

"Shhh, i'm here Phae... I won't leave you alone, ever."

Giving her cheek a soft kiss he kissed away a few tears and then wiped a few more away with a soft thumb. He could nothing more for her than ensure that she felt comfortable and safe, he hoped his arms were just where that was.

Phae felt him move her and she felt so lucky to have a boyfriend that understood what she needed. He held her tightly in his lap and whispered in her ear the one thing she needed to hear at the moment. She cried for a few more minutes his sweet actions and kisses woulnd't have let her cry long. She was so lucky.

She sat back in his arms and looked at him wiping the last of the tears away. She smiled feeling better now that it was over and that Jun had been there for him when she needed him most.

"Junpei," she said using his full name. "I love you so much. Thank you I will never leave you either."

She hugged him tightly almost back to her own self. She didn't want to leave the safe haven of his arms. She needed him and it felt great that he needed her. Her first day at school had been the best day of her life and this day was proving to be just as wonderful.

Junpei let her cry it out, he knew it was best, it had been best for him when he lost his mother and father. Slowly she leaned back in his arms and he smiled as she spoke, he loved the effects she had on him adn vise versa, if he was ever down he knew he could confine in her and trust her no matter what. As she hugged him he hugged her back, his arms wrapping tightly around her wiats to hold her in place, he didn't break the hold for thirty seconds and when he did it was to pick her up in his arms. He leaned over and kisses her softly, then turned adn walked to the bed. He set her down lightly and crawled onto the bed next to her, layign down next to her on his stomach Junpei brushed another stray hair away, letting his hand stay in place as he brushed it over her cheek.

"Why don't I go get us some food and drinks, then we can sit down for a quiet evening of reading. Sound good?"

Junpei smiled up at her as he brushed the back of his hand over her cheek softly. He wanted her to feel better and a full stomach would greatly help that fact, he wondered if she had eaten anything since dinner last night, he sure hadn't, well food anyways. Brushing his cheek over her cheek again he smiled, his mind flashing back to this morning and the fact that he had to miss lunch.

Phae loved it when he carried her so easily around the room. It felt so good in his arms, so safe, so perfect. He lay her down on the bed and brushed her hair away from her face. He was so thought full he was so sweet in the way he took care of her. His hand brushed her cheek and she smiled the sweet bright smile that was normal for her. He asked her about getting something to eat and drink and she nodded.

"That would be wonderful. I haven't eaten since last night." she said happily.

Now that she actually thought about it she was really quite hungry but it hadn't been on her mind at all. Only Jun had been on her mind as he was at the moment. Except now it was Jun...and food.

"I'd like a quiet evening with you dearest." she whispered and pulled up kissing him on the cheek gently her eyes closed for a moment.

Feeling the kiss he smiled adn then let his hand fall from her cheek, how he missed that feeling as soon as it left. Smiling Junpei got up and crossed the room quickly, grabbing his shoes out of the closet as he did he sat in the chair and quickly slipped them on adn then laced them up. Sending Phae a quick wink he opened the doro and left her to relax, hoping she would be ok for the time being.

Reaching the cafeteria in almost no time Junpei grabbed a tray and began to grab double servings of everything. When asked he just said he hadn't eaten all day adn he was starving, which he was. Although none would know he was also grabbing food for his girlfriend as well. Laughing a bit as he grabbed a hamburger and then some salad with ceasar dressing Junpei paid a little over 12 dollars for all the food. He loved being able to get anything in this cafeteria, ah the wonders of magic.

Slipping back into his rom without a soud Junpei crossed the room quicky and set the tray down on the bed. Smiling he looked over at Phae and asked.

"SO, what is your favorite food love?"

[Phae]

She closed her eyes while he was gone getting food. She lay in the now empty room and it just didn't feel the same without Jun here with her. But he returned quickly with a tray filled with more food than she had ever seen fit on one tray in her life. She couldn't help but giggle when he sat it down and asked her what her favorite was. She looked over the foods and shrugged.

"Nothing here really I don't like." she said taking one helping of caesar salad and began eating smiling happily. She took a fork full and held it out for him to eat.

She had every intention of him taking the bite as he had fed her last night she wanted to feed him at least a little tonight. She smiled brightly and winked at him her hair now loose falling across her shoulder.

Junpei could only smile at her answer, and then blink a couple of times as ceaser salad was offered to him. He smiled after a second though, remembering dinenr from last night, when he had fed her like this. Leaning out he took the bite and chewed it quickly, swallowing the food his stomach thanked him. Taking up his own fork he grabbed a fork full of salad and offered it to her, he wasn't going to let her have all the fun after all.

Smilign as they continued their little war of food Junpei heard Loish laughing in his mind. The little lizard sat on the desk reading over some mail Junpei had gotten, something about a book that had come in that Junpei had ordered a few weeks ago.

Loish be quiet, for like... a while.

No Boss it's so fun to see you like this.

I'm never going to live this down am I?

Phae thought it was sweet when he began feeding her again like last night. She would never get used to this wonderful feeling. She thought back at the relationship that her mother and father had and smiled brightly. She had it, she had better. This love was one that was above all others in her mind. Romeo and Juliet...had nothing on Phae and Jun.

She giggled and sat up picking up one of the burgers taking a bit and winking at him sweetly. She ate her food her stomach absorbing it quickly having not eaten since the night before. She saw Loish on the desk and smiled at him. She looked down and saw an extra burger despite the one that was set aside for Jun and setting her own food down she stood up walking to Loish.

"Hey there buddy." she said brightly and unwrapped the burger. She laid it flat on the desk right infront of the lizard. "Here you are Loish."

She pet him under the chin quickly and then moved back to eat more leaving him alone with his burger.

[Junpei]

At her action Junpei almost scrambled up to save her, he ahd no idea how Loish would relax. Evidently Loish knew biting her wold get his little neck rung, so he let her have the quick scratch under his chin. Growling, his version of a purr, he trotted over and dug into the hamburger. The next thing knew Junpei was flooded with, 'She's the best' nad ' Marry her now!' thoughts. Laughing Junpei looked over at Phae and smiled.

"It seems Loish thinks I should marry you. Of course you are the first person to treat him like that and not just gawk at him."

Junpei laughed a bti more and dug into his salad, savoring the tastes and the fact that his stomach was filling back up. He would half to remember to get this again. Sipping on a bottle of water he had also grabbed for both he knew that he wouldn't be eating his hamburger, best save it for later. All in all he had grabbed enough food for about 4 and now he knew they were going to have to save it.

"Mmmm hun, when you get done just keep all the food on the tray, i'll give it a quick freeze spell and we can save it for later."

That list of food included; 3 hamburgers, 6 bottles of water, two bags of chips, two oranges, two apples, two pears,and the two salads.

(Before anyone says anything, I was invited to join the thread.)

Suddenly, the door burst open, and the excited young psychic, Xeryth Varson, made his grand entrance. Eyes wide with joy and glee, Xeryth went straight from the mouth, babbling almost incoherently as he burst into the room, with news apparently so urgent and amazing that he could not possibly be bothered with something as trivial as knocking the door. Eyes wide, grin even wider, Xeryth was seemingly already talking even before he entered the room.

"...andyeahJunpeiguesswhatguesswhat! I was outside playing with TK and I-"

Xeryth stopped, eyes wide in fright and terror. He did not even trail off in his speech, he merely stopped speaking altogether, his eyes not fixed upon the girl in the room, this person he'd never seen that would, of course, instantly bring back up his usual guard, making him the nervous wreck that most inhabitants of the Academy know him as, but rather...

A pink puppy sitting upon Junpei's bed.

Blinking twice in an almost exaggerated fashion, Xeryth turned to face the boy he had come to call 'friend', speaking as he did so.

"Junpei, what is that-"

Again, Xeryth found himself being cut off, another set of giant blinks as he regarded this... this girl. As stated, the boy's natural presence around people came back into play, and doubly so due to the stunning beauty of this girl. Xeryth shrunk back a bit, smiling meekly, and started fumbling verbally, as if he were trying to introduce himself, or at least say 'hi', but could not find the words to do so.

[Phae]

Phae was just digging into her hamburger again when someone burst through the door. She looked up shocked as he looked at her with the exact same expression.

"Junpei what is that?" he asked.

Her eyes went wide...suddenly she was a that?? What did that mean? She set her food down and looked at Jun seeing that he didn't seem to be upset maybe he was a friend.

She stood up and wiping her hands on a napkin she went over with a big smile on her face.

"Hi! I'm Phae." she said happily with a bright smile her blue eyes sparkling. "It's nice to meet you."

S Junpei stuffed the last bite of food into his mouth he swallowed just in time to choke on salad. Xeryth burst through the doro and started yellign something in coherent, but Junpei was mroe worried about how the 14 year old boy would react to this whole scene. Junpei, pink puppy, girl.. girl.... Xeryth was going to freak. Quickly hopping up Junpei dashed in front of Phae and then turned his back to Xeryth, holding his love by the shoulders.

"Pahe, darling, Xeryth is a tad on the shy side. Let me have him come back tomorrow when I can keep him comfortable. Right now... he's probably freakign in his mind... yeah..."

Turnign to Xeryth Junpei grabbed the small boy by the shoulders and sighed. How to explain this one....

"Xeryth, buddy, why don't you come back on monday, it would definately be best."

Although the girl had introduced himself, Xeryth could only look on silently, obviously quite distraught with everything. For a boy that had dealt with the very same routines every day for 13 years, and had such ideas and one-track ways drilled into his mind, Xeryth was already used to Junpei's room just as it was, dark walls, starry ceiling, everything just as it used to be, certainly not with any pink puppies.

Plus the fact that there was a girl in the room, and the two were eating with each other, did nothing to calm Xeryth's very jumpy nerves.

The boy simply sat there, blinking, inable to come up with even a coherent thought, much less a single word. And Junpei knew just how smart the boy was under that giant layer of neurotic tendency. Had he known that Xeryth wasn't even able to think straight, he would know how bad the situation was. Finally, after what felt like minutes of VERY awkward silence, Xeryth mumbled a few words of acknowledgment.

"M-m-m...monday... yeah.... monday..."

And with that, Xeryth began to very quietly mumble the words 'yeah' and 'monday' over and over, more to himself than anything, as he slowly, awkwardly, backed up through the door and out into the hallway, his wide, unblinking eyes never leaving the girl as he did so. As he left, however, only one thought crossed his mind.

Will SHE be there again on Monday?!

[Phae]

Phae was shocked...very shocked. She had probably scared the poor boy witless with her enthusiasm. Poor guy she really wanted to give him a hug about now but somehow that seemed like a really bad idea at the moment. She moved back to sit on the bed in shock.

She watched as his eyes never left her. Clearly she had thrown him off somehow and she felt bad now. She felt guilty for being here when he obviously had something he wanted to tell his friend. The boy left stuttering and that just dug the knife into her heart even more as she felt like a fool now. Why did she have to be so accursedly happy all the time.

Phae swallowed the lump in her throat no longer hungry in the least and looked to Loish who gave her no info as she sat there helpless. When Jun turned back to her she looked up fear behind her eyes.

"Oh...Jun..I didn't mean to frighten him..." she said worried. She bit her lower lip and wrung her hands in her lap.

Turnign back to Phae and closing the door Junpei could only offer her a soft smile. Walking back over he sat on the bed, right in front of her and took her hands in his own, rubbing the backs of her hands with his thumbs. Smiling a bit more to her he shook his head and spoke softly.

"Hun, he's just very shy. He was locked away for 13 years by an american organization that studied magic and it's possible uses. He's just shy is all, don;t fret, he will be better soon. I'm the only 'family' he has so we tend to be pretty close, and i'm the onyl person he really acts liek that around, so seeing you here ust shocked him was all. Don't worry love, you can say all you want monday."

Leaning in Junpei gave her a soft kiss and then drew back, taking up a fork he offered her a bite to eat.

"Some on, you need to eat, you wouldn't want to lose your strength would you?"

Smiling across to her Junpei pushed the fork forward a bit, urging her to eat the bite of salad. He was worried about her again, he knew he would do that alot in his life, a helluva lot more.
