A lone figure stood in the training grounds this day. His long hair and coat being carried by a light but constant breeze. The weather was excellent for training. A cool overcast day with a breeze.
Jyo stood on a slate of rock that was 100x100 feet in area and was surrounded by short craggy hiils standing ony a cuplde of feet in height. His sword was in it's sheat which was sewn to his coat and rested at the small of his back and was perpendicular to the ground instead of parrel. This allowed a quick draw and strike. His left hand rested on the handle of the weapon but did nothing more at this time.
Several wooden figures were surrounding him. He had his eyes closed as he used his right hand to grasp the Glock at his side. He drew and his eyes spanned open. He chose his shots carefully and quicly. He wnet in one complete rotation and fired at his targets. Each wooden figure had a bullet-hole in where the forhead would be.
Jyo didn't even pause for a second. As soon as his rotation was complete he had drawn his weapon in a blur and slashed at each figure in turn and they fell to pieces around him in a matter of seconds. As powerful as magic is it is not enough on it's own. One must focus on keeping their selves physically fit as possible He thought as he trained. He went into some of his sword forms making the movments gracefully dancelike.
He sheathed his weapon when he was done and stretched out a bit. Jyo went over to a large smooth stone to sit on and took a seat. He felt rather bored. Normally several of the studets could be found here. But for now he was alone

Talbot sighed softly- she had found this place uneventful. She had brought her scythe in hopes of a good spar or fight and with high hopes someone would want to play. However every person she had made the attempt ot speak with gave her either a sharp look or would ignore her completely. If they wanted to be curt then let them- it was their loss on a decent sparring partner.
Walking to a space where she was almost alone- she took little notice of the other blonde nearby. She noticed there weren't many of the fair haired here but oh well what did she care? People here were off enough without their bothering to talk with her- though she wouldn't have minded. She had grown up a lonely child- having lived with her mad father for so long. Maybe word had gotten out about her history and the others were afraid she was mad too. She hoped quietly it hadn't- she wanted to make a new life here with a better chance at being far greater than anyone would have dreamed. Yes there was an ego but not so much as she didn't know when to quit.
She had been out here once before and at a demo there was a switch- AH! She stepped on the trigger and several items flew into the air. She smirked, what a terrible setup. She seemed to dance as she lifted her scythe and spun it horizontally- slicing all the items cleanly into two pieces- spinning again she, now vertically- the items fell to the earth in fours. She nodded and repeated this, adding twists and dimmed wing magic to keep herself entertained and to hopefully attract a descent training partner.

Jyo observed the blong girl for a while. He figured she was actually a little bit older then himself. But that wasn't the focus. the focus was the weapon she was wielding. A scyth. Now while jyo was not proficient with one he knew it could be a devastating weapon and this person knew how to use it.
He observed her for a little longer watching her movments. When she was done he applauded. "Very skillful. Very much so." He said and then gave a smile. "Greeting miss. My name is Jyo. And I noticed you have some talent with that weapon." He said

Talbot looked at the blonde boy and bowed her head slightly in recognition of the introduction, "I am Talbot Linsorium."
Introductions aside Talbot looked the blonde boy over. Two weapons- what a compensation, but then again she had never bothered to used any other weapons before- the scythe she held was atwo chanded weapon she in truth wasn't one for a sickles and with her history a scythe seemed closest to her personality.
She stuck out her left hand in greeting, for Talbot was indeed left handed- most people had difficulty with this but she hoped if they fought he wouldn't she had been hoping for a good workout today, she held no brilliant smile but a light one- friendly but unsure, "I have had many years of practice."

Jyo was about to hold out his right hand to shake hers but he saw her left go out and his own left hand met hers. So we use the same hand. How interesting. He thought. "Good to meet you Talbot. You use the Scyth well. I was curious if you wished for a friendly test of respective skills?" He asked.

Talbot's pale smile when a little brighter, "Well these are training grounds afterall. So yes as long as you're up to to it."
Talbot broke the handshake and noted that he moved more naturally with the left than the right This will prove interesting.
"Before we start anything big I will let you know I am a wind user."

He nodded and took a few steps back giving both of them room. "A wind user. I've only trained against a few. I am more attuned to fire and lighting myself." he said but a smile was on his face. Thats not all I have though. He thought as his left hand rested on the handle of his weapon.
"Ready when you are." He said as his right hand curled.

"As you say."
Talbot spun the scythe and smiles stepping back slighty before waving her scythe bare inches from the boy's face-- giving him fare warning on distance. She bobbed her head, still a small space away.

Out of instinct Jyo's sword flew from it's sheath and knocked the Scythe aside tought he did back off now that the distance was something he mad locked in his head.
The sword had only been out of it's sheath for the draw-strike. He had slide it back in when he had lept back. He decided the dash in again. In again. his right hand still curled and tensed now and his sword ready to be drwan a second time.

Talbot smiled sweetly and swayed slightly now. She stepped foreward and swiped at his head yet again but she channeled her power through the blunt end of the scythes grip, blowing up only enough dirt to make one blink. And swiped down, intending for the blade to simply whistle past his ear.

Jyo halted and he stepped back with his left foot. He shot out his right hand as soon as the dust was blown up and he forced his right hand out with the palm facinf Talbot and what would feel like a ram hit her chest. Jyo was shortly distracted by the wind but he kept going forward.

Talbot stumbled and winced, that hadn't been fun, she tripped but didn't fall until a smirk lighted onto her face and she fell back swiping her scythe at his ankles as she channeled her Ribbon Cut spell through the blunt end of the scythe, even if the blade didn't make contact the slicing wind aorund it would tear at anything within tweleve inches. She wasn't one to use the blade in a spar, unless it was taken to far.

Jyo saw the blade coming in and jumped over it. He noticed something similar to the wind shearing spell he had read about go under him. She had probebly used the spell on him figureing he would avoid it. Because it could pontentially cause some harm.
As he landed his drew his swor and slashed down to hold the Scythe in place as he ran forward he kept the blade against the handle of the weapon. He jumped again purposly slashing only inches away from her shoulder with the highly reflective mirror polished weapon.

Flattening to the ground for a moment she watched as the blade and it's owner- by force- moved past her, picking up her scythe she smacked his rear with the flat or the blade. Then hopped up to her full height, she smiled and winked.

Jyo's weapon was already in the way but the blow knocked him off-balance and he rolled forward and to his feet. He faced Talbot again and his face wasn't cruel but it also wasn't playful. She had him ranged with their weapons and unless he used alot of majic she had the rnage aginst him. And he didn't often use most of his magic unless the battle was serious. "Allright your turn." he said.
