Ziare looked at it in amazement. It was wonderfully interesting.
"How amazing. That is truly unique." she said her hands hovering just above it not actually touching it because she didn't know if he would want her to touch it.
"What exactly does it do? I mean does it do anything for you? You were born with this?" she asked truly curious.

~"It..." Tenshu began to speak, but he realized he was cut off by some kid. Kyoden knew what happened, and he got angry. Kyoden rose his fist and almost went up to them. Tenshu held Kyoden's arms back, making sure they didn't get the wrong idea. He whispered, "No, Kyoden, this is unimportant." Kyoden settled, and lowered is arm. Kyoden walked down the balcony, unexcusing himself. Tenshu gave another half smile. "Forgive Kyoden for leaving and me for interrupting, but I feel I must depart..." Tenshu bowed. "Maybe I'll see you in class?"

Ziare felt bad and guilty when she saw that Tenshu was leaving. He had been very hard to talk to and a bit intimidating. She smiled at him none the less.
"Yes, I will see you another time. It was nice to meet you Tenshu." she said.

Eldran nodded at Ziare and grinned as he rebuttoned his shirt and sat back down. "I don't know exactly what it does either. I've looked up and down in the library and I can't find anything on it or anything like it."
He reached into his bag and pulled out a wrapped sandwich and a bottle of water. "Want half?"

Ziare smiled warmly at the offering. Eldran seemed kind and she was thankful he had come onto the balcony he was very easy to talk to.
"Yes, I'd like that very much." she said with a bright smile. "I appreciate the offering thank you."
She sat back and looked at the city. It was truly beautiful up here no matter what time of the day or night. Ziare sat back in her chair and absentmindedly twirled a lock of her exceedingly long hair through her fingers.
"How do you like it in the Academy so far?" she asked returning her attention to Eldran.

Eldran handed her half the sandwich, it was a decently big one. It was a decently thick one of ham, swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce with a hint of spicy mustard on just thick enough wheat bread.
He sat back as he munched on his half and took small bites, enjoying it and the view.
"I like it so far, I'm going to stay in the city and be here at the Academy for a while."
He smiled and grinned as he set down his sandwich and got out a couple napkins and another water bottle and handed her one of each. He then wiped himself with a napkin and drank a little, and set it down on the table.
He grinned and laughed. "I can't leave until I'm satisfied with learning. And that won't happen until I've read a goodly portion of the books I want to in the library. And that most definetly hasn't happened yet."

Ziare giggled as she took a bite of her sandwhich. It was very good.
"I can imagine it hasn't." she said still laughing. "I like it in the city as well. Being a country girl this was a very big change for me but I so love it here. Everything is so busy things happen so quickly." she told him taking another bite. "Besides I've made way too many friends to return now and I just knew all along the country life was not one I could lead and be happy with."
She stared off into space for a few moments.
"So what is your favorite part of the city?" she asked looking back at Eldran once more.

Eldran had to actually furrow his brows in thought and think, though the expressions were absolutely comical as he shifted around, obviously not being able to figure out the place he liked the most as he chewed his sandwich. He almost choked but caught himself in time by swallowing some water.
"Whew...ummm....hmmm....darn...."
The bookworm who could remember almost everything in his life couldn't single out one part of this city he liked the most.
"You've come across a question that's hard. I'm not sure I can answer that. I just like this place, that's all I can say right now."

Ziare laughed at his facial features as he thought. She wondered if he tried to be comical or if it happened out of nature but he was funny and was constantly making her laugh.
"Well, that's all right. How about you ask me a question, seems I've been asking you quite a few. And after the gorgeous drawing I must let you do some of the asking and talking." she said with a cute smile as she tucked her hair behind her ears.

Eldran threw back his head and laughed. When he stopped laughing, he was grinning, it was almost incorrigable. "You know, the whole time we've been here, I've shown you my birthmark, given you a drawing, shared my lunch, and you know what? I haven't gotten your name."
He was giving a broad grin the whole time as if he was about burst with laughter again.

Ziare laughed as well because it really was funny. They seemed to clique as though they had known each other quite some time, and she didn't think she had gotten his either.
"I'm Ziare...Ziare Langley." she said holding out her hand. "May I ask yours my nameless friend."

Eldran held out his and shook hers as he grinned an incorrigibile grin at the richness of the situation. This was someone he could call a friend.
"Eldran Haerlin. Nice to meet you, Ms. Langley."
He was grinning an infectious grin and burst out laughing at the irony of what he'd just said.

Ziare couldn't figure out why he was laughing but it was contagious and she joined in.
"No, no Ms. Langely is my mother, just Ziare or Zi if you prefer." she said reverting to her home nickname. She had actually not told anyone about it but for some reason it fit him. "And it is my complete pleasure to have met your acquaintance, Eldran or Mr. Haerlin."

Eldran grinned lopsidedly as he was often prone to do. "Eldran will do. It's easier."
He was laughing, this time for the pure joy of it. Just enjoying life, enjoying everything, and this ideal shown through in his laughter. And for meeting a friend.

Ziare smiled warmly she was happy to have Eldran as a friend.
"It's such a beautiful city." she said looking over the balcony from her chair. "My first night here they had fireworks just inside the city square. I was up here watching them, they were beautiful. So magical the way they formed different designs and how the colors lit up a pitch black night."
She told him thinking of the beauty of that night.
"I have fallen in love, Eldran. With this city."
