Courtyard (closed)

[Shea]

She smiled over at him. The use of french was cute. She knew enough to know what the phrase meant but by no means could she speak the language. She looked at the different boxes and decided it would be easiest to put his clothes in the closet for him. Becuase she really didn't want the change to break anything.

"I'll hang up your clothes that way it's something I can put away easily and I won't break anything." she said with a gentle smile.

She dragged the box over to the floor in front of the closet and opened it. The closet was already filled to the brim with coat hangers and shelves for all the clothing someone needed. So taking each garment she carefully hung it up on the plastic hanger. Sorting them by color she emptied the first box slowly and surely making sure to run her hands down the soft fabrics to run any wrinkles out before placing them in the closet.

That done she grabbed a second box labeled clothing and began her work again. He seemed to have brought a lot of clothing. She was silent for now letting both of them work just enjoying his company.

Oooo hard labor. Bella's voice rang out in her mind. Shea smiled.

I'm being helpful thank you very much.

I'm home, just letting you know.

Do you want to come over?

That would be rude. And besides you tire me I need my space.

She smiled bigger. She and Bella were closer than most twins and they bickered but mostly they just were sarcastic with each other. She knew that Bella was letting her and Darian get to know each other without a third party in the room. And truth was Shea appreciated that.

"That'll be just great thank you."

He said with a smile as he continued to unpack boxes one by one the room soon taking on an aspect of a home rather then just a room. He saw that the task was getting near the end one of the biggest things being the clothes which Shea was taking care of. Roughly a couple hours later they finished the task and he calmly began to break down the boxes.

"So I exaggerated it seems. Thank you for your help Shea I truly appreciate it. It probably would have taken me five hour"s to do this on my own."

He raised her hand and placed a kiss on it in perfectional style.

[Shea]

Shea's heart seemed to stop when Darian's lips connected with it. It was one of those things the people rarely did anymore. She blushed a bit and nodded.

"It was a pleasure really." she said with a smile.

Shea took a seat on the edge of the bed one jeaned leg folded over the other one in true classic style her hands in her lap gently. She looked around the room as she hadn't really paid attention to it while she was unpacking his clothing.

"So, what should we do now?" she asked looking up at him.

He opened his violen case and gave a smile. "I seem to recall you wanting to play a piece togeather. We have time to kill and maybe afterwords we can grab a meal togeather at the cafeteria." He opened his violen case and carefully picked up his bow from the soft blue velvet. "We can play here or in your room. And Bella can listen if she wants." The room was tastefully done, Darian having a good taste in things that fit well togeather as he seemed to have made the classic slide well with the modern.

[Shea]

Shea stood and smiled.

"I'll be right back then."

She crossed to the door and stepped out. She pulled her dorm key out of her pocket and crossed to the next door down. Her own. She slid the key in the lock and opened it. She was greeted with the purple room with steel accents and furniture. She smiled. She loved this room.

Mom, I'm home! she said in her mind with a chuckle.

Don't EVEN go there.

Sorry, your majesty.

Ooo much better, you are forgiven..serf.

Shea laughed and crossed to the desk and picked up her violin. She began to head back out of the room and as she locked the door Bella started in on her.

Playing with the boy next door? she asked with an evil voice. Shea laughed at the implications that one sentence carried with it.

Shut it! Shea said playfully.

Ooo hit a nerve there did I?

Shea chuckled and knocked on Darian's door twice with her knuckle.

"It's me." she said before she entered again.

She moved to the bed and opened her case. Inside custom purple velvet had replaced the usual blue. She smiled and pulled the violin and her bow out.

"What shall we play?"

He was rosining his bow and gave a nod as she left his room and gave an inward smile. Maybe he should have Orchid sent here to keep him company. Bella might like to meet Orchid no doubt. His chain of thoughts was broken when there was two knocks on his door and he made a move to answer it till he heard Shea's voice and she came inside. Picking up his violin he checked the strings to make sure they were tuned properly. "Hmmm Mozart's Fourth, Second Chord?"

[Shea]

Shea put her violin up to her chin her right hand holding her bow ready to begin. She would wait for Darian to get into his position before she began. Her back was straight and she was ready as soon as he gave her the go she began.

The sweet music filled the room. It was a truly classic melody and one she could play easily and without sheet music. She closed her eyes and let her entire body feel the music as her face conveyed so many emotions as she played. She truly enjoyed having someone to play with. He played beautifully and she could see many more nights in their future when they could play together.

He easily slid into pace with her his as his hands worked delicate emotion and song from the instrument in his hand. His eyes were closed as he played and he gave an inward smile. Marvelous someone who could play very well was right next door. It was always one of his favorite things to calm himself or simply pass the time away. To just let an emotion flow through the music so the mind could be at ease. He picked up a classic musical that was currently popular in Europe. He began to sing softly matching the pitch of his violin.

The song lasted several more minutes and she had smiled when his voice came into the mix. She could sing but rarely did. She would save that gift for another time.

The song ended and she stopped her bows trek across the strings her fingers rubbing the strings on the neck to hold the note just a little longer before silence filled the room. She let it hold for a moment before she opened her eyes and sat her violin in it's case.

"That was amazing. I've never played with someone so good." she exlaimed her face happy.

He matched her last note his voice ringing softly as he let his violin hold the note with her. When they finished he opened his eyes and gave a smile bowing to her. "You are certainly an incredible musician, Shea, my compliments on your skill." He sat his violin down and laid the bow on top of it as he turned to lean against his desk. "It really was good to follow my curiousity and meet you. I admit Bella was part of the curiousity but, you're what makes solving the mystery a fun experiance."

[Shea]

Shea smiled at the comment. A small blush crossed her face as he complimented her and then spoke of her like a mystery. She looked at him her green gaze watching him for a moment before her smile deepened even more.

"I'm glad you did get curious. I'm a bit too shy to walk up and introduce myself to someone." she said with a smile.

She put her violin more securely in it's case and placed the bow back in securing it with the small tabs. She closed the case and snapped the clips closing it completly.

"Would you like to go get something to eat now?" she asked looking up at him and tucking her hair behind her ears as she waited for his answer.

He put his own bow up and snapped his case closed for a moment. So she was shy? She seemed so friendly and wonderful to be around. Why would a person like her be shy? He gave a brief smile as he turned around and gave a huge grin.

"Let's go I have a craving for pasta right about now, maybe they're serving it."

Once they exited his room he turned to lock his door securely and then got on the elevator and pushed the ground floor button.

"So why would such a wonderful person like you be shy?"

[Shea]

Shea stood when he mentioned that he was craving pasta and she smiled. She hadn't told him just how spiffy the cafeteria was in this school. Well he was about to find out.

"Oh, did I fail to mention they serve anything you want at anytime of the day? Gotta love magic." she said as she followed him out the door.

She let him take the lead willing to direct him if he got lost but other than that she let him remember where everything was. He seemed suprisingly good at it. Back at the elevator he asked her a question that actually made her think for a moment. A blush did cross her features at the compliment he made.

"Well, I guess I'm not really used to people. I lived alone most of my life with only tutors to keep me company so.. I guess I'm just not that used to jumping in and introducing myself." she shrugged and smiled over at him.

The elevator door opened and she stepped into the corridor that was the main hall.

"Why did you watch us?" she asked turning to him. "In the courtyard you watched us for some time before you said anything."

"Anything? Anytime?! Terrific just what the midnight snack type needs." He said with a laugh as the elevator dinged and opened on the ground floor. "Well then I'm very glad I introduced myself, I find that you're a wonderful person to get to know. And as an added bonus you're a talented musician." He walked with her in the direction of the cafeteria and saw her stop turning to him. He stopped to face her and heard the question. "Well to be honest Bella looked a tad unwelcoming and I was trying to figure out if she was your familiar."

[Shea]

She chuckled at the sense that Bella was a bit unkind and unwelcoming. It was true she was very wary especially of men after the last encounter. But there was something really different about Darian.

"Yes, Bella can be a bit protective." she said with another chuckle. "But once she likes you it's a good sign. You don't want to get on her bad side but she is kind when you are on her good side."

She led him to the cafeteria as she idly played with the ruby heart charm on her bracelt as she stepped into the large room. She led him taking his hand without thinking about it much to the long line of buffet and the cafeteria women behind them ready to take any orders. She let his hand go when they arrived only now realizing it with a blush.

"Sorry." she whispered her face red as she turned back to the women and ordered a chicken soup and waited for it. It came in less than a minute with a small roll to the side. She grabbed and iced tea and waited for Darian to make his own order.
