The blue skies above the floating rock were heaven. Piercing blue in all their glory the darkness created only because they were further up in the sky than the Earth. Small puffy white clouds went around the Arcane Academy and it was just.. awe inspiring.
A gentle wind blew through the leaves and the grass that surrounded said establishment. It was as if the symphony of the Gods was singing down to the magical students. A serenade of sorts. Small flowers bent to and fro with the gentle gusts their stems reaching ever higher for that drop of sunlight that would give them their nutrition and continue on the great cycle of life.
All around the academy bustling could be heard as the students within moved about their business. Yes, it was a fine day and many students were outside enjoying it. Some sprawled upon the lawn while others sat on provided benches. Groups of these students standing and talking. Small animals running about whether wild or familiar it was not something the girl who now stood at the gates knew.
More importantly it was that this girl didn't care. Nope, the last place on earth she wanted to be was in school. She was not going to be a happy and giddy girl on her first day hell she hadn't even dressed up as she had heard some girls did. No, screw them all. You take what you get, and damnit this is what you get.
Damn. Why had those bastards sent me here?
Dressed in a black tshirt and blue jeans one shining silver chain went from her black belt to her pocket where her walet was. Her hair was dark black with maroon streaks in small poofy pigtails. Her bangs crossed to the side of her face as her hazel eyes surveyed the scene.
To notice one thing about the girl was to notice that she carried three large cases with her. In them were none other than Daphne, Gabriel, and Shadow. But those had remain to be seen and she wasn't going to take them out now no matter how badly she wanted to pick off some of these students a nice happy shoulder shot to make them think twice about coming up to her. She didn't need a welcoming committee. Though she had no clue where her room was she had been assured that it had been complete to her specs and so help that doctor he damn sure better have been right.
Her crap, yeah crap, had already been delivered aside from the one case on her back, and two in her hands. Those never left her sight if she could help it and she never let anyone take them. Hence, why there were only three. She could carry three by herself and so help anyone that tried to take one. Gentlemen? Pft, bring it on.
And so it was just inside the gates that the unappreciating girl stood. Her cases in her hands her eyes surveying the school as she wondered exactly where to start. Yet, more importantly where were the training grounds. She had been assured that she would be able to practice and she would leave were that not the case. She didn't care who came after her if she left. Yet, it seemed unlikely. Who would? Lets not think of that right now, shall we? Great.
"Where the hell am I supposed to start?" she asked herself outloud as she looked around at the huge campus. Why did they feel they needed to make schools so damned big? Sigh. Ahh screw it. I guess I just jump in.. that's the phrase isn't it? Sure.. why not.

Birazcir growled as he chased after Xavier. The boy had decided to take a joyride around the Academy in his wolf form. Gah, the boy was just so incouragable sometimes. Though he did have to admit, it did feel good to run around with out a care for once. They had been stuffed up in these walls for far too long for Birazcir's taste, even though it had been under a week. He had almost forgotten what it was like to roam the highlands, tracking prey at his leisure. He would have to talk to Xavier and arrange a hunting trip one of these days. Birazcir slid to a stop and grimaced as he saw Xavier slide around a corner too fast, heading right for some girl standing at the entrance.
Xavier grinned toothily as he loped through the hall way at quite a speed. It felt very good to stretch his wolf form's legs and do some running. He had heard there was training ground on campus, he would have to check it out sometimes. Xavier was so busy in thought that he didn't realize how fast he was taking the turn. His nails scraped against the floor loudly as he tried desperately to stop himself. It was too late, he careened into a girl who had been standing just inside the entrance. The auburn wolf untangled himself from the pile of flesh and fur he had caused.
"Sorry about that miss," he said with a soft whimper. His body glowed briefly with mana as he returned to his human form, "Name's Xavier Mcallister...and I apologize for bowling you over like that.....wasn't looking where I was going," he said, scratching the back of his head with a sheepish grin. That was when Birazcir trotted up to his side, growling annoyedly.
"Xavier..you idiot, I told you not to go running around the school. Especially not in wolf form," Birazcir growled, shooting Xavier a stern look. The boy was truly a handful sometimes, Birazcir wondered whether or not he made the right decision by being bonded to this boy for life.
"I said I was sorry Biz...geez, no need to go all parental on me. I am your master after all," he said with a smirk. Xavier liked to hold it over Birazcir that he was the master in this relationship some times. Birazcir huffed indignantly as he continued to stare at Xavier sternly.

The inside of the school was indeed vast in all it's glory. The outside was enormous but she had a feeling it was like in those stories she had read where the inside was indeed far larger than the outside. Thus seemed true for the Arcane Academy. Geez. She was totally going to get lost in this massive hell hole. Why had they sent her to school? She could out arch anyone who stepped up to the plate and it wasn't just boasting. She sat down her two cases the ones in each hand. She stood up and reached into her back pocket to pull out her dormitory assignment and schedule. It was going to be hard enough to find her room alone but nooooo she had to navigate the whole damn school by herself. She sighed outwardly and unfolded the papers she had been provided. The smoothe yet crinkled white paper in her hands crackled a bit as she unfolded. She flipped through the large packet.. oh thank the world there was a map! A map! She hated maps yet she would need one here. At least til she got a mental map done. What a bother. She tucked her black and maroon bangs behind her ear and read the paper.. Student: Lexandra Giovanni Room: 713 Ah crap! Does that mean I have to climb seven, count them SEVEN sets of stairs. Geez. Perhaps she could just sleep in an abandoned class room. However, that was unlikely she figured that here they would have security as tight as the federal buildings in England. So fine. Seven stair cases it was. Damn. This was a bad idea. Suddenly, she barely even heard the noise, before. BAM! She was run over by a WOLF!!? Holy hell! What the.. "Bloody hell, do they just let wild animals run all over this campus?" she asked sharply as she stood up on her own and looked over at the wolf. She watched as the bloody wolf turned into a human. Oh lovely. Most people would have been all COOL.. or OH MY GOD THAT'S SO NEAT .. or OH WOW!!! Yet, not Lex. No she couldn't care less except that he had knocked down her and she had in turn knocked down the cases she had so gently sat down. Damn it! Can't the blasted He-wolf watch where the hell he was going?Quickly giving the boy the evil eye she moved to her cases. Daphne first as she was most fragile. Opening the black case there inside was her wooden white bow the grip fitted exactly to her hand. Lifting the bow she checked for any damages it was this kids head or his little over talkative pets head if she was damaged. Yet she remained fine. Moving to Gabriel she opened his case and pulled out her composite bow. She pulled back on the loosened string for traveling and nodded as it all seemed just fine. She shut both cases and sat them upright again. She stood once more and her hazel eyes looked over the boy. "Perhaps your.. Biz here is right. Running through the halls .. isn't that rule number one in school? No running in the halls? Mm yes I think so." she said with a smirk as she went back to looking at her papers.

Birazcir cleared his through a little at her calling him by the ridiculous nickname Xavier had branded him with shortly after the bonding ritual. The bonding ritual had imbued him with intelligence and he was allowed to pick his own name. Even in his younger, savage and less intelligent days he remembered a collection growls and barks that he had identified with and made his name. The closes he could get to that sound in a human tongue was Birazcir. Of course, Xavier, just had to turn that name around and make a ridiculous nickname out of it.
"Miss I'll have you know my name is Birazcir and I would appreciate it if you refrained from using the ridiculous nickname my less than intelligent Master has decided to brand me with," he said, shooting Xavier a sly grin.
"You know what Biz...you should be lucky I like you enough to give you a nickname, it's a sign of affection," Xavier said with a chuckle as he patted the wolf's head. Birazcir cursed silently, it was very difficult to get under Xavier's skin, he had been looking to annoy and goad him. Xavier turned back to Lexandra and eyed her interestedly.
"I'm sorry about your things Miss...I didn't mean to crash into you like that. It's just...I know this sounds dumb, but I feel so free when I'm in my wolf form. I'm a Druid so i enjoy communing with nature and what not, in my wolf form I'm very close to nature and it's a very liberating feeling," he tried to explain, blushing a little as he did. It would sound very stupid if not just downright strange to a person who had never truly been in touch with nature and the spirit of the Earth.
"Do you need any help getting around, I haven't been here too long but I think I know the place pretty well," he offered with a good-natured grin. He felt bad about crashing into her and he was looking to make it up to her. Though by his first impression she sdidn't seem like the type to readily accept help or friends for that matter.

There was somthing about that wolf that was nice. He was cheeky. She liked that. Though it was still more than odd the crazy beast spoke at all she still liked him.. so far. Yet, she wasn't one to go all fangirl and squeel all over the animal. She didn't care how damn cuddly some cheerleader types might find the wolf. She didn't. She there.
She didn't say anything to the wolf and damnit all if they kept calling her miss her third case was going to open and each one was going to find themselves with a crossbolt in their shoe.. and well paw. She was probably underestimated and she smirked at that thought. She enjoyed being underestimated because then they wouldn't expect that dagger to come out and bite into their skin. Yet, those tactics remained hidden, for now.
For now she needed to figure out where the hell her room was so she could be alone and get some arrows made. She need to get her station set up and begin asap. She had a job to do and it wasn't going to do to let it go. Nope not at all. She had crap to do and this boy was only getting in her way. And his little dog too!
"Just watch where you are going in the future. Some other girl, a helpless one I'm sure, could have gotten hurt. Idiocy, should be outlawed." she said as she picked up her cases.
Once again she had to reread that damn paper to find out where the hell she was supposed to go in this blasted palace of hell and education. Screw education she didn't need it. Damn those doctors she would go back and shoot them all. Bye bye... no wait. Down Lexi. She sighed as he asked if she needed help. She looked over at him and sized him up for a moment.
"Well if you can refrain running me down again. And if you know where 713 is then yes. Otherwise, bug off." she said a bit coldly. It was just the way she was. Yet, perhaps it hid something a bit more vulnerable. She picked up her cases and looked at the boy before beginning to head off in the direction of the bloody stair case.

Xavier chuckled and nodded, "Yea I am a bit of an idiot," he admitted with a grin. She certainly was interesting, she seemed cold and rude initally but Xavier sensed a yearning in her to be closer to people. Apparently however her personality tended to push people away so she pushed people away but at the same time wanted people close. This was quite the conundrum but Xavier would try to become friends with her. One more friend never hurt, in fact it only helped. He followed her, hoping to be of some use.
Birazcir on the other hand wasn't in the mood to be so polite, "Xavier I don't see why you're helping such a rude little girl," he said with a huff, "Humans....I'll never understand your lot," he said with an exasperated sigh as trotted dutifully behind Xavier.

Well it was one thing to call someone an idiot but it was something completly different to have that person agree with you. It was unusual for her to hear that people tended to avoid conversation with Lex as she was usually rude but she didn't care. She didn't need people she didn't want friends she didn't care about that kind of stuff.
Hell, she wouldn't be here except that damned doctor and his stupid crew sent her here to 'learn' what the hell did she have to learn. Well, whatever it was it wasn't archery because she had that down to a science. And she didn't need training. However, this boy whoever he was his answer definatly made her stop. An extremely rare smile crossed her face yet with her back to the boy he wouldn't see it.
She turned around on her heel and smirked at him before pursing her lips slightly. She shook her head to get her bangs out of her face as her hazel eyes stared over at him. She set down one of her cases and smirked.
"I like your style, Chap." she said with a wink and picked up her case turning on her heal once more.
The stair case was massive and she began her treck up it. The weight of her babies in her arms was nothing. It didn't even feel as though she was carrying anything. Her arms were strong from her archery skills and proficiency. So to carry her own luggage so to speak was no problem even for the thin pale girl. She started up the steps without looking back.
"The name's Lex." she called back and said nothing else. "Now where the hell is 713?"

Xavier followed behind her with a grin on his face. It wasn't terribly difficult to make Xavier grin or smile though, he was just naturally a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. Though he had sort of grown bored with interacting with other, equally happy people. This girl was a refreshing change of pace, she was rude and abrasive and simply didn't care whether or not you liked it. Xavier smiled, he was going to have fun getting to know her.
Then she stopped, Xavier's hand gripped the banister tightly to prevent himself from running into her. Two accidents in one day with the same person, that was definitely not a good way to start a friendship. All of the sudden he found himself staring into her face as she told him she liked his style, followed by a wink. A wink eh, well at least he was getting somwhere with her. Then she gave her name, finally a name to fit with the face now he didn't have to look stupid calling her Miss constantly.
"I like you're style too Lex," he said with a happy grin, "I'm glad I finally got your name, I was in such a rush and then the crash happened so fast I forgot to ask. I also felt really stupid calling you Miss constantly. I would offer to help you carry your luggage but you seem more than capable of carrying it yourself. Besides you don't seem to be the type to accept help easily," he observed with a grin as they reached a landing.
"Let's see...713, well we're on the 4th floor now, three more floors and than 13 doors down to the left I believe," he said, tapping his chin thoughtfully.

Three flights of bloody evil stairs. Though Lex, admittedly was in good shape it still didn't mean she wasn't lazy. Didn't this place have elevators? Well it was now her mission in life to find an elevator this climbing up SEVEN blasted stair cases was not going to fly. Nope that was going to have to change and fast.
All the while climbing pretty boy next to her kept chattering. Where the hell is his string? Who the hell pulled it? And how fast can I cut it off? Yet he seemed definatly dedicated to talking to her even though she was a .. .. .. rude girl.. yeah rude girl that's it. He never seemed to take a step back but instead take a step forward.
HE WHAT?! He likes my style? Oh geez. How lame. Could the kid not come up with his own damned line. No no lets steal a Lexi original. Sigh. Not only that but the kid must have been lying. No one liked her style. There was a reason for that she made it unlikeable. It was get used to it or tough. You got to deal with Lex how she was and she wasn't changing for anyone.
"You're right I don't need help. I wouldn't let anyone carry these anyway so it's good you aren't asking. Gentlemen suck anyway they're always nosey and want to help the poor ladies. Pft. Please. That's so old school." she said with a shrug as she continued climbing the stairs.
She looked over at the boy and moved to the side so he could walk next to her and she wouldn't have to crane her neck just to see him. What a bother? If you're going to talk to someone can't you at least stand next to them. Sigh.
"So a druid that's like Tree Hugger Extreme right?" she asked with a cocked black brow and a tight grin.

He walked next to her, humming softly. She was certainy an interesting character. Rude and abrasive, but she didn't seem to care at all. It was as if she wanted to force you to deal with her as she was. Maybe it was some sort of test or something, if people weren't willing to get to now her despite her rather cold personailty, maybe she thought they weren't willing to be a friend. Xavier wasn't totally sure and all this psychoanalyzing was making his head hurt. For now he would simply trust his insticnts, animal and otherwise and try to make friends with his girl.
"Extreme Tree Hugger?" he asked with his own grin, "Well I suppose you could call us that...we're not above destroying nature though. Destruction and death are apart of the cycle of nature. There can be no renewal and rebirth without death," he said with a chuckle, "Besides we're most certainly not above killing, it's actually quite a thrill to rip man's throat out with your teeth," he said with a dangerous grin. If she was going to play it coldly and abrasively he would try the same. Xavier was always fond of a challenge.

Was he humming? Oh geez. Why did she have to get stuck with the happy kid on the first day? The guy was relentless and it was starting to grate on her nerves. News flash buddy. Don't piss Lexi off or you'll find a crossbolt in your ass. She almost smiled yet she did he just wouldn't see it as it was inward.
The stairs were rather annoying as well. Where was a damn elevator. Damn school was a bother. It wasn't fair that she had to be here. She didn't need an education on magic. She did well on her own. She fletched her arrows cast their spells and she went on her marry way shooting things up and enjoying it. But no! Let's send Lexi to a school where annoying happy boys will bug her til the ends of the earth before she silences them. Yes.. silence.
But it could only get worse. Of course. He was going to freaking lecture her. On the ways of the druid. Why had she asked because right now she couldn't remember why and she didn't want to know. She was making small talk and yet here we go lecture time. Note to self. No small talk with Happy Boy.
So then he goes on to talk about ripping somethings throat out with his teeth. Nice. This kid wasn't half bad when he wasn't trying bowl her over or talk her up. She smiled as she made it to the seventh landing. If she had been a Christian she would have praised some God or another yet she wasn't so she could only thank herself for getting her this far.
"Mmm the taste of blood. Goes well with pancakes in the morning." she said with a smirk as she turned left down a hall as he had instructed her to do and continued walking without missing a step.

He chuckled softly as she joked about the taste of blood. What she didn't know was that he actually did enjoy the taste of blood. Well it wasn't so much the blood really but the power, looking down on a lifeless corpse and realizing that you had just done. The thrill of feeling power from taking a life was a rush like none other. That was Xavier's darker side pulling towards the surface, he figured it would help him to try and make friends with this girl.
She certainly didn't seem the type to make friends readily. But she hadn't hurt him yet or outrightly refused his company so he assumed he was welcomed so far. Unfortunately she didn't seem very outwardly accepting of his company so Xavier found himself trying to psychoanalyze her. Of course this was just giving him a headache and her attitude wasn't doing much to help his situation. Birazcir had fallen silent at this point, he knew what his master was like when he decided to let his darker side out and knwe that it was best if he simply kept quiet.
"Blood on pancakes is quite a delicious combination," he said with a smirk and a chuckle. He walked beside her down the hallway. She seemed annoyed at his constant chattering and question asking so he decided to keep himself quiet for the time being. He didnt' want to scare off a potential new friend by being too happy or too cheery.

Allright the kid had cheek and she liked that. She stopped in the hallway when she finally reached her dorm. She sat her cases down with a smile on her face as she pulled her given keys out of her pocket. He had fallen silent which in a way was a bit scarey considering he hadn't shut up since she met the boy.
She slid her key in the door silently and opened the door. She smiled brightly and nodded. It was perfect. Black ceiling with stars painted on it that would glow in the dark. Blood red walls with black tribal designs painted on them. Magical runes that had no real use yet looked really cool on a wall. The floor was made of a dark hard wood with a nice soft black and red rug on the floor to keep it warm in the winter.
Black tile covered the fireplace and sheer red and black alternating curtains adorned the large window. Her bed was a four poster bed with curtains that hung down in black and silver shimmering fabrics. Her desk was made of smooth black material the same of the bed and next to her desk was her fletching station with all the supplies she would need and the drawers prelabeled for her feathers. A tv and stereo adorned her dresser and a small sitting area with black leather chairs and a low coffee table sat in front of the window.
The kitchen was done in stainless steel and black. Sheek marble counter tops and silver accents. The fridge should be prestocked with food and drinks. Her bedding was soft black and red with shinning silver sheets. No expense had been sparred aparently. Seems the doctors wanted to keep Lexi happy. Well this was a start.
"Nice." she said with a smile as she picked up her cases and stepped into her room. "Come on in." she called back to Xavier.
She wasn't going to be THAT rude despite popular belief besides the kid was growing on her. She sat her cases down on her desk Daphne on top of Gabriel. She took the other case off her back and sat it on the top of the both of them.
"So you want a soda or should I call the blood bank?" she asked as she turned to face him with a grin as she made her way to the fridge after shutting the door after him.

Xavier walked into the room and let out a low whistle. It was a very nice room, obviously someone spent a lot of time and money on keeping this girl happy. Xavier could understand though, he had only met her a few minutes ago but it seemed that if she got angry you wouldn't want to be the cause of it. The room seemed to accent her very nicely, lots of sleek black with red and silver. If anyone could ever say their room accurately portrayed their personality it was certainly this girl.
"Nice room," he said with an admiring grin, chuckling as she asked him if he wanted a soda or blood, "While blood does sound enticing I think I'll restrain myself and go for a soda, I'm trying to watch my figure," he said, patting his thin stomach jokingly, "You wouldn't imagine how many calories blood has in it," he said with a grin. Birazcir waited hesitantly at the threshold of the room, "Oh um..would it be alright if Birazcir came in I didn't want to be rude and just invite my wolf in without asking you first," he said nodding his head to Birazcir who was sitting on his haunches in the door way. He had a thoroughly bored look on his face.

She had to look at the boy for a minute as she opened the fridge. So the boy had a sense of humor. She laughed. Yes, Lexi laughed and it was one of the first and few times it would ever happen yet this boy had made it so. She shook her head as she grabbed two sodas and threw one to the boy.
"Of course Biz can come in. I assumed when I said 'come in' that was an invitation for the both of you." she said as she plopped down in one of the sylish leather chairs.
"So tell me how much does this school suck?" she asked looking up at him with her hazel eyes.
She could tell teh school was not only huge but it was fancy and it was something she really not used to. Living in a hospital didn't enable her to get used to finery hell this room was a godsend in itself. Yet, they wanted to keep her here and the way to do that was to keep her happy. She held a hand out to Biz if he would let her pet she would as she did enjoy animals not actually having one herself didn't mean she didn't think they were good to have around.
