What to do now (phae)

[Phae]

Phae felt him shaking and she pulled back concerned for the man she loved. She pushed away his bangs that hid his face and she saw the first tears she had ever seen him cry and her heart broke.

"My love. I was afraid that you decided I was in the way or didn't want me anymore. I told you when I first met you many people think I'm annoying I thought that you might have decided I was." she whispered and kissed away his tears. "You are my life Jun as I said I would die without you."

She wiped away his tears and lifted his chin to look up at her. Her lip trembled but she held onto her tears with everything she had.

"I love you so much it hurts and I guess I took what you said the wrong way. I think I'm just expecting it to be too good to be true that one day you'll wake up and tell me to go back to my own room. You'll tell me thanks for supporting me but I"ve found someone esle." her tears fell but she wasn't crying just tears leaking from her perfect sapphire eyes. "My life is forever intwined with you now to lose you would be my death for my soul. I wouldn't survive I would die in the exact moment I heard those words. I"m sorry I jumped to conclusions Jun. I"m so sorry."

She held him tightly rocking them both back and forth against the door holding him as tightly as she could.

[Junpei]

The tears didn't stop, merely continued and continued. They were oth having the roughest day of their life, he knew it was his. He held her lightly, he felt her pull back, he heard her sweet voice but his tears continued to fall. Junpei shook his head and his bangs fell back, hiding his eyes. He was so sad, so very sad that he had made Phae feel this way.

"Phae... i'll be back to myself soon..."

Junpei felt a blackness tug on the edge of his mind, something was pulling him off to sleep, something strong, something powerful that coudl manipulate within his mind. There was only one force strong enough to do that, Harlow.

All Phae would know is that the tears suddely stopped, altogether those twin streams would cease to be, and Junpei would fall sideways, his body going limp as conciouness left him.

- in his mind -

Junpei stared across the darkness at Harlow once again. He was afraid for his own life right now, although Harlow couldn't touch him, he could screw with his mind enough. For the longest time all Junpei did was stare, no idea how long it would last or how long there would be silence between the two. What seemed liek hours later Harlow spoke, his voice thick with malice and hate.?

She's changed you Junpei... turned you into a weakling again.. just liek when they died... she'll die to.. you're so weak-"

"SHUT UP! SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP!"

" She's going to die Junpei, you'll lose her forever, just like you did you parents. She's going to leave you and then she'll die because you were weak!"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP HARLOW! SHUT UP! She's not liek you, she's good and true to her heart!"

"She's a weakling Junpei, not worthy of your love, no one is worthy of your love!"

"Harlow... i'll kill you.. i'll kill you!"

In his mind his shoulder began to burn and out came white wings, sprouting from hsi shoulder, the angel lending him her power. Junpei screamed in pain as the wings came out, bursting through the flesh and skin there, the wings dripping with his clood in his mind. Harlow's eyes widened as trhe white wings spread at Junpei's command and stood, larger than Harlow's and made Junpei seem all the more imposing. HIs eyes, were glowing whie as well, gone were the onyx eyes from before, now they shown through, white as coudl be.

Harlow produced his short sword and held it out, pointing the tip at Junpei.

"YOU BONDED WITH AN ANGEL! YOU TRAITOR!"

"I bonded with someone who trusts me and helps me. All you've donw is caused pain and suffering in my life Harlow. You're nothing but a thorn in my side and she's healed that wound. The woman I love is waiting for me Harlow, you're never goin to take that from me. You can corrupt my mind and destroy my body, but you will never get my heart and soul!"

Junpei's massive white wings flapped and he flew straight at Harlow, tackling him to the ground. His wings flared out to try adn combat Junpei's but failed, Junpei's own wings bending and coming down to cut Harlow's off. Harlow screamed, his wings being pulled off and ripped off by force.

"Now Harlow, your body and soul will become my own, your going to fuse with my body and you're going to to be forced into servitude, used as my catalyst to extend my life... for her!"

Junpei locked Harlow away, wrapping his wings around both of them he sealed them, smiling down at Harlow he faded away, a ball of white surrounding Harlow.

- Back in reality -

Junpei groaned and opened his eyes, his right shoulder blade now had a tatto, the exact same one as his left but done in a pearl white, that would shimmer when in the light. Reaching up Junpei rubbed his temples with his thumb and middle finger, his eyes opening slowly.

[Phae]

Phae felt him go limp felt him completly fall over to the side and her breath caught the tears immediatly stopped flowing. She tapped him on the face.

"Jun.....jun.....JUN!!!" she screamed as her heart practically stopped as she looked at the limp form of her love.

She picked him up as much as she could and dragged him over to the bed only half his body on the bed. She pulled his legs up on the bed and sat next to him wiping the wet tears off his face and carressing his face. He looked asleep and he didn't look like anything was wrong. She checked his pulse a little higher than normal but nothing to worry about and she checked his heart the beat sounded regular. She figured something had happened and he had gone into himself. She bit her lower lip hard her teeth digging into the soft skin there as tears of worry fell from her already red eyes. The hardest day of her life refused to leave her alone.

Several minutes past and finally Jun groaned and her heart leapt. Quickly she grabbed his hand and wiped the tears away from her eyes with the other hand as she waited for him to open his eyes. She saw him rub his temples his eyes just beginning to open. She couldn't help it she picked him up moving her arms around behind him and dragging him up to her cradleing him in her arms.

"Jun..." she whispered and rocked him back and forth for her comfort more than his own. She couldn't be close enough she ran her free hand through his hair repeatedly as she whispered his name holding him tightly to her with her other arm.

[Junpei]

Junpei's eyes were open as wide as they coudl be as his love scooped him up and held him, her arm wrapped around him, her other stroking his hair. He closed his eyes slowly and wrappe dhis arms around her, pulling her down to him, half of her laying on himm, half on the bed. He didn't care, holding her was all he could do right now, she was wispering his name over and over. He had left her, had gone into his own mind for god knows how long and left her alone. He had promised not to and then turned around and broke that promise, was he really worthy of her love, was he?

"Shhh Phaedra i'm here now, shhh..."

He knew calling her by her full name would get threw to her, because only he only he did it. He was the only one to call her that, in love at least, and know that it meant she was his. He calle dit out softly again, wispering her name.

"Phaedra..."

His right shoulder was burning, he could only surmise he had another tattoo for it was the same burning as earlier, but what was this one? He had to have her look at it, to tell him what it looked liek adn what it meant.

"Phaedra, love, I need you to look at my right shoulder now..."

[Phae]

Phae listened as he called her name her full name he was the only one who did that and the only one besides her parents she would ever let do it. She didn't stop rocking but she did stop whispering his name and she finally stopped rocking when he asked her to look over at his right shoulder. She moved her head slightly and looked down at his shoulder. There was a new tattoo.

"It is another tattoo much like the first only this one is white." she said in a whisper. "It shimmers a little in the light."

She didn't speak loudly her voice never going above the whisper. She traced the lines of his wing with her finger before she moved out of his embrace and lay next to him closing her eyes that were not bright at the moment. She was tired emotionally drained but she didn't want to sleep she was just closing her eyes.

[Junpei]

Junpei kept on his stomach, tryiong to figure out what this meant. If he had another tattoo.. mayb eit was the seal? Maybe it was the result of him sealing Harlow away with thoughs wings he had been lent. It could be a symbol of his stronger bond with the angel, a sign that they were more strongly connected.

Either way this went to the back of his mind as Phaedra got off him adn laid down next to him, her body seeming so delicate yet he knew better. Moving over he laid a hand on her stomach, like he had earlier and slid it under her shirt, letting his palm rest on her bare stomach. He wanted to keep her safe, happy, and above all else content. He couldn't do that if he kept worrying about his own problems more and more.

"Phaedra i'm sorry about ealier, i didn't mean to say it that way. I know I said i'd be with you, preotect you, and back there... I kinda screwed it up huh?"

Junpei ran his thumb over her stomach, trying to calm her adn keep her feel elcomed with him, he was doing all he coudl to keep her safe and the best he was doing was to let her know he was there and that he loved her.

[Phae]

Phae felt him rub her stomach but she didn't open her eyes it wasn't only because she was exhuasted but she was just not ready to speak. Today had been the hardest day of her life and she had lost her voice. Not that she had lost it from screaming she had lost it because of something she couldn't explain.

She wasn't mad at Junpei it was almost like she was lost somewhere. She was just not ready to speak or open her eyes. She was not asleep her eyes stung with all the tears that had been shed today and her heart seemed heavy.

She heard his words and she nodded. She couldn't say anything just yet it was as if she had lost the want to speak. But it was more that she had nothing to say. Her body began to shiver as if she was cold her teeth chattered and her muscles began contracting as she shivered and began drawing herself up into a fetal position.

She was going into shock..

[Junpei]

Junpei's eyes widened as she shivered and started to curl up, he had seen this before, once, when he was little. His mom had gotten caught in a freak rain storm and by the time she got back she had been in.. shock! Instantly Junpei was up, closing the window, pulling her under the covers, and then finally getting back in himself. He checked her pulse, checked her tempertaure, adn finally raised her head a bit with an extra pillow. He was like a hawk watching over her, constantly at her sides, makign sure she stayed warm and comfortbale. He could only pray that she got better soon.

[Phae]

Phae felt warm suddenly and slowly she drifted to sleep her love holding her in his arms. A version of her came up behind him her astral self and touched his shoulder.

She spoke in his mind...

My love my only love my heart my soul. I trust you..take care of me you have my heart and my soul locked within your body. You are the only one in this world I trust with the task of holding my entire soul. You are my life. the voice echoed in his mind and then the apparition disappeared and Phae woke.

"Jun...jun are you all right now? Jun..." she cried panic in her voice.

[Junpei]

As the astral form of his fiance' appeared behind him adn spoke Junpei could only nod and wonder what exactly she meant by that. How could she be so cool and collected with her body in the shape it was. junpei cradled her body softly and kept her warm, as she spoke in her own body he kissed her softly, letting her know he was there without a word. Then he actually did speak, he didn't want her to worry after all.

"Shh Phaedra i'm here, im here."

Junpei pulled her up and set her in his lap, his arm wrapped around her shoulders to hold her head on his shoudler, her body being supported by his other arm.

"Are you ok Phaedra? You were in your astral form and then.. I didn't know what was hapening. What did you mean by protect your soul?"

Junpei had so many questios and so little time it seemed. He wanted her to answer quickly to, although he wouldn't admit it. He was biting and chewing on his lower lip again, afraid of what would happen to his love, she was so important to him.

[Phae]

Phae looked up at her fiance' and knew exactly what he had meant she had been there only in her astral self because she needed to tell him something and couldn't do it in her current body.

"Jun, when I said I loved you it wasn't just a feeling for you. I have given you my soul. You carry it because I have given it to you. It sounds stupid I know but if we were seperated I would die. It's more that you have become my soul you embody my soul." she explained and kissed him on the neck.

She let him hold her close. She needed him right now. She was starting to get warm but she knew what shock was and she knew that Jun would let her know when it was time to go bakc to normal.

[Junpei]

"Oh Phaedra.."

He felt her kiss and smiled, she was still in shock, a bit, her body cold against his. He let her down and pulled hte blankets up., pulling ehr into his chest he rubbed ehr back softly, helping her warm up a bit and get back to normal. SHe would need a good five minutes to et better, adn in that time he woudl remain quiet. He wanted her to be back to 100% before they did anything, adn even then he already knew what was going to happen when she was back to normal.

Five minutes came and went and Junpei let her go softly, getting out of bed he coudl tell she needed a bit more time to be back to normal. He puled the covers tight aroudn ehr and kissed her forehead, lightly she would note.

"I'm goign to go grab an extra blanket, you need to rest Phae, we've both been through so much, adn I know exactly how you feel. I would say the words you said earlier, but you stole them from my lips when you did so."

Leaning down he kissed her lips softly, they were still cold. He slowly moved over and got into her box of bedding, grabbing her comforter out he unfolded it and threw it over her, not even noting the pattern or color, his eyes were locked on Phae, wondering, hoping she would be better soon.

[Phae]

Phae didn't feel cold anymore but when he brought out the extra blanket she knew she must be. The blanket was the same blue as her eyes and she snuggled down under both and kept her eyes on Jun.

"My love. I'm sorry to put you through so much today. I will try to be better." she promised looking over at him her eyes heavy.

She closed her eyes and fell asleep the first true sleep since the night before the one where she wasn't astral projecting or dreaming just a true deep sleep her breath regular her face peaceful and her hand just underneath her cheek.

[Junpei]

Junpei smiled as she spoke and shook his head, she had been the only thing that helped him survive this day.

"Don't say that love... you were the only thing that kept me going."

She was out soon after, her large sapphire eyes closing, her breathing becoming regular, and her hand moved ever so lightly to rest under her cheek. Junpei smiled and slipped in next to her, laying down on his stomach he placed his hand on her stomach and drifted off himself.

She would wake up before him, the first thing she would probably notice woudl be his hand on her stomach, dangerously close to the top. His back however might catch her attention, as both of the wings were glowing in the darkened room, a sign that the new summon was worried for both of them and sent her help. Junpei's whoel body acted as a heater, keeping hs body at the exact temperature to be comfortable. He was unaware, since the angel summon was only using the tiniest bit of power to do this.

[Phae]

Phae slept deep and hard her body so exhausted from her day of emotional and physical trauma. She slept the sleep that doesn't dream but she felt very rested when she finally woke a few hours later.

She noticed he was still asleep and his hand on her stomach she smiled loving the feeling of his hand on her soft skin. She saw a glow reflecting off the wall across the room and she looked at Jun's back seeing his wings glowing. His summon must be doing something for them.

She got up kissing him on the cheek and went to the desk so as not to bother him. She turned on the small lamp there and began to read her eyes scanning the page as she took in the story waiting for him to wake. She wouldn't mind if he slept through the night but if he woke she would be here.
