What to do now (phae)

[Phae]

Phae practically sprang from the bed excited as she ran over to the bulliten board and yanked the note off and read it quickly. She turned to look at Junpei and say he was already getting the book down. She moved slowly and sat down on the side of the bed her hands in her lap waiting for him to sit down and show her what he wanted her to see.

She sat down patiently but inside she was dying to know what was in there but her face looked like she wasn't in a hurry at all. She watched and waited a smile on her face and the note still in her hand. This was probably something very important if he had hidden it in a hollow book so she definatly knew this was a big step for her.

[Junpei]

Junpei bit his lower lip adn smiled as she sat on teh bed and waited. He sat down next to her and set the book in his lap. Opening it it revealed about 50 assorted hpotos from his childhood, they would all end right about age 13-14. Taking the first one out it was a family portrait. Junpei stood, a lot youinger looking, holding his 2 year old brother, his mother and father sat next to him and all were smiling, well Negi as best he could.

Junpei laughed a bit at the first photo, it was about 8 years old.

"These are all photos of my family, I want you to at least know what my mother looked like and my dad as well. They were both very skilled mages."

Junpei handed her the photo and dg around for another, one of his parents wedding day. His mother was in a beautiful chinese dress, the red adn gold silk, the high slit than ran to her mid thigh, his fatehr in a tuxedo. It had been beautiful by all accounts.

[Phae]

Phae looked down when he opened the box and her heart stopped. She had noticed that there were no pictures of his family around and she thought that maybe the memories were too tough to see them around all the time and while she couldn't completly understand she did not mind. She looked at the photos he showed her and smiled touching the younger Jupei.

"You were so cute then." she whispered.

She knew this was a huge step for Junpei and it meant the world to her. She was wearing his mothers right but now she actually got to see what the woman who had raised a phenominal son looked like. She was beautiful. She could see both his mother and father in Junpei's face.

"You parents were so lovely. I wish I could have met them to thank them for bringing you into this world for me." she said kissing Jun on the cheek. A tear rolled down her cheek. "Thank you for sharing these with me..you have no idea what this means to me."

[Junpei]

Junpei smiled softly, his eyes softening as well, shje knew exactly what this meant to him. He felt the kiss and could only look over at her and wipe away the tear, he hated those tears. He could see that developing int a pet-peev of his, her crying. But alas he would not be able to stop it, only try his hardest to prevent it.

"Don't worry Phae, i'll just have to thank you're parents double for you."

Junpei smiled and then turned his attentinos back to the box before him. Flipping threw a couple more he came across one of him adn his brother, sitting at the park playing on the swings and having fun. Pulling that one he handed it to her, along with the weding one, adn then picked out three more. Starting from teh top they went, him and his mom getting ice cream at the park, his dad and him playing a board game Junpei deep in mock thought, and both his parents being jumped by the small boy Grandpa had taken the picture.

All were happy memories that Junpei now realised he would have one day with Phaedra, only he would od his best not to leave his children or wife behind. He would never, that's why he had to do this... had to take that risk. Sure in teh next eight years he could pass on his gene to a son or daughter, continue the bloodline himself. But he couldn't leave Phae like that, not ever.

[Phae]

She laughed at the cute and many different faces that younger Junpei had. She had been right he had always been cute and she was right on another front. She was lucky no one had caught him before her. She was lucky that he had chosen her to open up to her to kiss on that first day and her to spend the rest of his life with. She looked over at him and smiled all these happy memories the ones of him and his brother playing together it was the first time she had seen Negi she still longed to meet him but Jun had said Monday and she was willing to wait.

"These are wonderful memories." she said and smiled up at him. "You are so lucky to have these. You will never forget and in that they will all live on forever."

She cupped his cheek and smiled at him sweetly. He was so precious to her. And she hoped that one day they would have thier own photographs of them together and of their family if they had one. She wanted one but she and Jun had not talked of that stuff she knew it would most likely be too soon for that.

[Junpei]

Junpei laughed a bit as she looked oevr the pictures, it was god to know that she felt the same way he did, that these would never be forgotten. As she cupped his cheek he smiled back at her, sweetly as well, and placed the pictures back in the box. He decided he would leave it out, so she coudl look threw it.

"Whenever you feel like looking, feel free to."

He leaned down adn kissed her softly, smiling as he pulled back.

"You are to wonderful to me...Phae...lvoe... lover... my fiance'... all these things.. would you mind it if I asked you... what you want to do after we're out of the academy..."

Junpei wanted to know, if she had any plans for the future yet, with him of course, adn vise versa. He had every intention of still becoming a great dark mage, but he also wanted Phae by him to support him, be there, love him, let him work things out with her... most of all... he wanted her to remain loving him the way she did so well. Junpei smiled, softly, and then shook his head, fighting off a bit of sleep still tugging at him, he was getting sleepy a lot lately, probably the effects of holding the containing spell on Harlow.

[Phae]

Phae was very happy he was going to leave the photos out she was proud of him she thought that this was healing in a way for him and she felt a bit caught off guard by his next question. She lay back on the bed staring at the ceiling.

"Well truthfully I wouldn't mind being a teacher here but my main goal would be to become a mother. I've always wanted a family of my own children a pet or two. I wouldn't mind staying home and taking care of my family. That is the biggest goal for me." she told him hoping that this wasn't going to scare of Jun.

"I know that many people don't like talking about things as big as families but mine is such a integral part of who I am that it to me is extrememly more important. For me that is more important than my magic or my talent as a swordswoman. I want a family."

She didn't look over at Junpei she was afraid that now she had definatly scared the crap out of him and he would leave her. He would say she was nuts not to want magic more than a family not to want to pursue it but give it up for that same family. She could do nothing but wait for his response.

[Junpei]

Junpei bit his lower lip as she spoke, he liked her answer, truthfully he did, but he wasn't sure how to respond. Did she want him to give up magic as well? Keep their children from learning it... wow now that shocked him. he was alreayd addressing the fact that he wanted to have kids with her, where in the world had his sanity gone? Out the window when he fell in love with this glorious woman.

"Phae I..."

He searched for the right words, not knowing exactly how to put this, he wanted to let her know his wishes as well without hurting her in any way, which he thought might be tough.

".. I would love nothing more than to let you have that dream, adn stand alongside you in it. I want to pursue my dark magic as well, adn I want my, our, children to learn magic as well. I knwo being a mother means a lot to you, and it does to me to but..."

Hea leaned back and then rolled lsightly, supporting himself over her he smiled softly, lovingly.

".. Phae I only want to pursue my magic if you say so. I coudl settle down to a life of no magic if you want.. just the two of us and kids, maybe a pet besides Loish..."

[Phae]

Phae couldn't sit up quickly enough she looked at him and smiled and almost laughed she moved over to him and proped herself up on her elbow to meet him face to face.

"Love you are misunderstanding. I meant I am willing to give up my magic to be there for my family. I am willing to teach our children anything. I want them to learn magic I want you to pursue your own but magic for me takes second rung when a family is concerned. I need a family I want a family but I would never ask you to give up anything. I would want you to be there for us me and our children. Of course I would want them to learn as much about both our arts."

She lay back down looking up at the stars in the ceiling. They were so beautiful and so mesmerizing. So calming in a way that was only beaten by Jun's own arms.

"I just want us to be happy to live a happy life with Loish and our children a couple pets and a lot of magic. I want us to find that bliss that everyone craves. That is what I really want. I am here to learn and improve my skills as a sword mage and I want to be able to pass my blade down to my own children. I want our magic to fall through the ranks getting stronger by our bonding and changing in our children. I want the family that is happy and healthy but I would never, never dream of asking you to give up your magic ever. I probably wouldn't give mine up completly I would begin to tutor our children in their magic at least the ones I can. It's just not my goal in life. I have always wanted a family."

She looked over at him and smiled. Silly Jun how could he think she would ever dream of asking him to give up his magic. That was like parting with yourself. She was willing but that was her choice and she wouldn't ask anyone to do that.

"What are your plans Jun? What are the plans you have for yourself after we graduate?" she looked into those soft gray eyes and smiled.

[Junpei]

Junpei smiled at her words, she was always correcting him when he didn't say the right thing, maybe one day he woud finally work his words out right. She laid back down ad spoke more of their life ahead, it was nice, something to shoot for and know you weren't going to miss. He couldn't wait, to start a family with Phae. He probably had 2-3 more years in the academy at best. He was advancing quickly , very quickly, and he knew if he kept this up he would be doing fine.

"Mmmmm after i graduate.. well I would imagine I'll be out of here a few weeks before you.. so.. untilll you got out I would probably teach. After you got out though...."

Junpei rolled over her and smiled, looking down into her eyes and smirked a bit.

" First I would marry you, then take you on the trip of your life for a honey moon, and then, probably go with you back to Germany. I lvoe the country there, and it's so open in those small mountain towns.. I could work on my magic without worry. Perfect place to raise kids, and best of all..."

He leaned down and kissed her, softly, lovingly.

"... it'll all be with you.."

[Phae]

Phae couldn't help but smile. The man, Junpei Taltos, was the most wonderful person in the world. Always so sweet, always so caring. Her heart was constantly blossoming with more and more love it seemed that he was always doing or saying something that had her heart beating erratically in her rib cage.

She smiled up at him and blushed.

"I love you Junpei Taltos, I cannot wait for our future. It will be fantastic I just know it will be."

She lay on the bed her eyes closed as she imagined what thier family might be like. A small mountain town of Germany...Germany her home did he know how much that meant to her. She didn't care about living in a city but it was Germany where her heart belonged but she knew that had Jun said America she would have gladly gone in any direction with him.

"I would love to have family with you in Germany or anywhere for that matter Jun. I know that my life will forever be fantastic as long as it is with you." she looked over at him opening her eyes and smiling at him.

[Junpei]

Junpei chuckled softly as she spoke, of course they would be going to Germany. He rfamiyl lived there, Junpei had no family stateside except his grandfather, who coudl teleport to them without worry. So naturaly Junpei was going to go to Germany where his children could be near their grandparents. He knew that being close to her family would make Phae that much hapier, and Junpei had no problems learning German from her. He was happy, she was hapy, it was a happy time, and Junpei had no intention of breaking that.


"Phaedra, why don't we go out for dinner tonight, your choice this time."

[Phae]

She bounced up on the bed and threw her arms around Jun. Thier last dinner had been marred by the news that the man she loved would die in eight years or less. She had to admit that the easiest way to lose one's appetite was to find out the man you had fallen in love with so quickly was going to die and you were going to have to watch him.

"Oh Jun!" she said happily. "I would love that. So very much. No chopsticks this time. As much as I love it when you feed me I would like to eat dinner this time."

She giggled and went to the closet to pick out what she wanted to wear. She pulled out a knee length black dress that had one strap that went up on her left shoulder. She grabbed her box of hair ties and her shoes and kissed him on the cheek.

"Be right back." she winked and left the room running for the bathroom. One problem with sharing a room with Jun was she couldn't surprise him by looking a specific way unless she left like now.

She walked into the bathroom and slipped out of her clothes folding them gently in a neat pile and slipped the tight black dress over her body. It hugged her in all the right places across the bust and over the hips where the skirt flared slightly still staying close to her body but it was made in strips of cloth and sheer black fabric that would sway with her hip accentuating her walk that fell to her lower thigh. The strap on her left shoulder was one inch thick and fed into the dress making one side look higher than the other as it cut across her chest. The dark color made her pale skin stand out a bit but she liked it.

She pulled her hair up on both sides so that it framed her face but still hung down her back. The barretts used to hold up her hair had small diamond like rhinestones in the silver metal that shone in the light. She wore the same high heeled sandles as last time the black color looked good next to the short black skirt.

She looked at herself one last time. And smiled she hoped Junpei would like this. She placed grabbed her things and walked slowly back to the room they shared. She couldn't contain her excitement. She decided to play formal and set her things down on the floor beside the door and knocked.

[Junpei]

Junpei laughed a bti as she reached up and hugged him, her body easily supported by Junpei's arms. She spoke and he smiled, of course she wouldn't have to use chopsticks, she got to chose. As she got up and grabbed her clothes Junpei decided that for tonight, he would go with a bit more.. magic, oriented dress. He wondered how she would react though, it was ratehr unusual for someone to show up to dinner like he was about to, oh well.

As she exited the room to change he got up and went over to the closet and grabbed out a black dress shirt, one that had several lines cut across it. They were just shallow places that woudl hold what Junpei was planning next. Setting his hand over the shirt he let some of his magic flow into it and the shirt came alive with several magic runes. They would glow softly in the liht but in the dark they woudl show up well, not distracting but just enough to make the shirt look a thousand times better. He next slipped on boxers, jeans, then the shirt, adn finalyl dress shoes. The shirt was long sleeve this time and had cuffs on the wrists. The cuffs themselves were tiny dragons that had glowing eyes, thanks to the magic run threw them.

As the knock on the door came Junpei smiled and finished buttoning up his own shirt, giving it a final smoothing out as he walked oevr he opened the doro adn was speechless. SHe was drop dead gorgeous and he was trying to stammer something out, anything, but nothing would come. He just leaned down adn kissed her, smiling as he puleld back.

"Beautiful..."

[Phae]

The door opened and her eyes went wide. He looked so wonderful she let her eyes travel up and down him. He was definatly going to out shine her this evening. She felt so... inadequate. She swallowed the lump in her throat in time to kiss him back and blush at his word.

"Thank you." she whispered suddenly a bit shy.

She turned and picked up her things walking past Jun to set them in the room. Her box where it went and her dirty clothes in the hamper. She looked in the hamper looks like laundry day is tomorrow she thought to herself and turned back to Jun.

"Why don't we eat Italian. Though I don't know where one of those restaurants is...so if you do I don't care where we go. Just silverware..please." she said with a giggle.

She couldn't take her eyes off of him. Her body was tingling and her heart was racing. She stared into those gray eyes that never failed to captivate her. She almost wanted to stay...but no she really wanted to go and have a good time with him out of the room together. She knew they would return she swallowed hard and continued to stare at him.
